1.9 Leaving the Second floor
Isran moaned when Elysi stood, pulling herself off of her cock. Isran was vaguely aware that no cum poured out of Elysi and she sat up to get dressed and picked up her weapons.
“Can you use a bow?”
Elysi nodded as she wrapped her cloak around her naked body. There was no time to dress properly. Isran pulled her curtain-skirt over her flaccid dick the9n grabbed her sword and shield and moved out slowly, her shield in front of her and her sword held tightly.
She moved the flap for the tent a little and took note of their enemies, peeking out as quietly as she could. There were six green slime and ten blue slime hopping around.
“Fuck... do they just spawn into existence?”
Elysi moved closer to Isran, not trying to peek out but positioning herself in a way that would let her fire her arrows as quickly as possible. “How many?” Elysi whispered.
“Six green slime and ten blue.”
Elysi hummed. “Are you sure you’re good with the shield?”
Isran swallowed, a lie could get them killed. “No.”
“That’s fine, just make sure you cover me.”
Isran nodded. “Ok.”
The moment they left the tent three green slime turned towards them. There was a second where Isran froze, Elysi fired at one blue slime and at the same time three green slime launched at the shield.
Isran stumbled a bit at the impact, she thought about trying to slash at the slime, but remembered that she was supposed to be protecting Elysi. Instead, Isran shoved the slime back and moved to block two blue slime heading towards Elysi’s open side.
A green slime took that opportunity to try to attack her now open side. Isran had seen the attack coming and the grace she used to cut that slime down was definitely magically powered. She dismissed the notification that popped up as quickly as it appeared. At the same time, Elysi shot a blue slime that was rolling toward Isran’s bare feet.
Isran moved her shield to block another green slime as she heard Elysi’s arrows whiz away. With a grunt, Isran slammed her shield on blue slime that was rolling towards her feet.
A green slime jumped over her shield, falling towards Isran head. Elysi fired at the slime, launching the body back. The slime wasn’t dead though it was struggling to move with an arrow lodged into its viscous body.
Isran had a brief urge to launch her sword at the struggling slime but didn’t. Her brief moment of hesitation was enough for a green slime to hit her in the side. Isran grunted at the impact, her heart beating wildly.
She shivered in disgust when she glanced down and saw the slime’s eyes staring up at her. A quick slash and a defeat notification was dismissed as Isran immediately blocked more attacks she realized that her side wasn’t burning and a quick glance at her status sheet showed that her health had reduced only by one point. She guessed clothes protected from the slime attack.
As she slashed at another blue slime she realised that was the reason slime attacked feet or the face. Elysi fired again at the injured green slime and it sagged to the ground in a dead puddle.
With nine out of the initial sixteen slime dead Isran felt it was safer to take a less defensive approach to the fight. The last three green slime that remained launched at her shield at once hoping to knock her over. Isran had braced herself for the attack and as soon as the slime hit her shield she dropped the heavy weapon, crushing the three green slime immediately.
Elysi shot a blue slime near Isran’s feet again and Isran cut down one that was aiming for the sheep woman’s head.
With that there were only two blue slime left, Elysi immediately shot one down while Isran slashed the other mid-air.
Isran panted tiredly as she looked around. The fight had been much better to handle with Elysi shooting the blue slime. The sheep girl could hold her own and that had ultimately saved them both. The shield had also saved them. Isran picked up the heavy shield and smiled at it. She still felt a little jarred about the hit she took to her side but was happy she wasn’t harmed by it.

Isran quickly dismissed the level-up notification. The attacks she had suffered a couple of hours before no longer showed on her skin, almost like the pain was temporary but her health was still at sixty-nine, now sixty-eight after losing a health point in the fight. She wondered if Elysi was an archer, or if she had an archer class.
The sheep girl was walking to staff she had forgotten when they set up the tent.
“Is your health better?” Isran asked with a slight blush while pulling out arrows from the dead slime and placing them back in the quiver.
“Hmm.” Elysi hummed and walked back with the staff in hand. “It’s an expensive staff.” The sheep girl mumbled.
“Are you going to sell it?”
Elysi tilted her head, still staring at the staff. “I’ll see.”
“Isn’t it like a spell-casting staff or something?”
Elysi lifted an eyebrow. “No it’s a channeling staff, spells are cast from grimoires.” Isran blinked at the difference.
“We should try to leave the dungeon today, the first floor of this dungeon is mostly cleared so we’ll have better luck not running into any monsters.”
Isran nodded and the two packed up the tent. One blue slime hopped into the cave and was quickly killed by Elysi smashing it with her newly acquired staff.
The first floor of the dungeon was very similar to the second—a sewer system. But instead of the long stretches of almost endless tunnels, the first floor had rounded chambers with doors leading to more rounded chambers.
“This is a weird layout.” Isran whispered as she moved through the fourth door since entering the first floor.
“This floor has been mapped out, there is a chamber with no river in it, we can camp there. You clearly need some sleep.”
Isran didn’t argue with that observation. “Do the slime spawn from the river?”
Elysi nodded.
After finally finding the chamber and setting up their tent Isran immediately fell asleep. Her arms ached from carrying around so many things and fighting. She had no idea what time it was with the sewer tunnels deprived of sunlight but she didn’t care. Sleep was the only thing she was worried about.
