Isher Notra

Chapter 132 - At last! His greatness has been realized!!!

Gentō:

The dam within him has been annihilated.

A volatile torrent of Saniya erupted from the gaps before it took complete control over every single cell- Nay, every atom of his, reshaping and engorging his body until he reached his perfect form again. His weight soon became too much for him to support himself on two legs only, opting to stand on all fours like a beast. To compensate, his snout elongated to the size of an elephant's trunk while two tusks were jutted out from its tip!

When the purple and pink energy curtains were gone, his eyes, radiating with vigor, basked in the awe-inspiring canvas of broken ice dolls, reduced to dismembered limbs, fragmented heads, and sparkly snowflakes dangling and swirling in the air.

Still, a wave of tens of thousands of Saniya signatures dashed in his direction, coming from everywhere imaginable. Yuki-onna's puppets closed the distance, the runes on their foreheads glowing in turquoise, giving them the appearance of a wrathful swarm of fireflies.

In response, the mutated Baku lifted both front hooves. Then, he slammed them back to the plaza's white and red tiles, the vibration conjuring a stream of lava erupting around him! He could barely believe that keeping a close eye on Hanaken's training sections would have made such an impact on him.

Ah... The hissing of hundreds of Yūrei-like constructs evaporating under molten rock... The surviving ones floated above the searing lagoon around him, their feet dripping, barely able to keep themselves together through the heat.

Gentō felt almighty! His grin was everlasting as the survivors foolishly attempted to ambush him at once, only to be met with an impenetrable Saniya barrier!

"IF ONLY YOU FOOLS HAD A CONSCIENCE!" He bellowed, his voice booming and reverberating through the entire city. "YOU WOULD HAVE REGRETTED FOLLOWING YOUR CREATOR TO YOUR DOOM!!!"

The shield exploded in a magnificent light show! All clones disappeared in a split second once the energy swallowed the rest of them like the maw of a ravenous leviathan! Once it was over, he found himself standing in a crater where a significant portion of Chikukei's plaza once was.

Gentō tilted his head upward, lifting his trunk with pride and triumph, regardless of the crushing toll in his Saniya reserves! In mere moments, he accomplished what the Gunka Army could not! After this day, no one would call him-

"IDIOT!" The Basan general's voice rang painfully in his ears. "WHAT WAS THE MEANING OF THAT!?"

The dream behemoth scoffed. "You mean my outstanding power and heroism?!"

"I MEAN DESTROYING CHIKUKEI'S SACRED GROUND!!!" Venghaan loudly bawked. "OUR ECONOMY RELIES ON THIS PLAZA, YOU OAF!"

Gentō motioned his elongated nose to his ear. "All I hear is ungratefulness! And I went through this trouble to destroy the scourges of your beloved-"

"YOU THINK THAT WAS ALL OF THEM?!"

He froze. "That... wasn't?"

By Tizohi's antlers... What a pandemonium!

Hundreds of ice golems raided the city, clashing against the remnants of the Gunka Army, who kept them at bay with their fire breath.

Gentō used his earth magic to climb out of the hole since that ear-wing trick wasn't enough to support all the added weight through the air. He wished he had more time to figure out a better grasp on his shapeshifting... Just imagine! A flying Baku!

Speaking of flying...

"AIR STRIKE! INCOMING!" His dream battery's voice came from above as a fast blur rushed through a puppet's head, decapitating it. He quickly recognized his Amikiri comrade and that pup's Saniya swirling alongside her.

Now, closely behind, there was Hanaken, squeezing about ten ice clones in her clutches until they were reduced to tiny cubes. Classy, as always.

Inspired, the Baku prepared himself, scraping his hoof against the floor before charging like a raging bull! He put himself between a wounded Basan and a puppet, who was freezing their leg to the bone, then impaled the construct's side with his twin nasal blades, swinging his trunk to fling it against the base of a hill!

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

The soldier groveled, breathing fire onto his frozen limb. "Thank the Chōkō, you saved me!"

"All in a day's work, helpless citizen!" The Baku exhaled from his trunk, emitting a loud, resonant trumpeting before immersing himself in the sea of frozen golems! Their frigid hands, coated with vapor, clung to his legs, hide, and snout, sending waves of cold Saniya, which could've made some impact on those inferior warriors but never him! Not as he was now!

The robust creature swung his bladed snout repeatedly, hacking and slashing through horde after horde! The vapor that hissed out from the puppets' cracks served as refreshment and pleasure for his exerted muscles, much like a bloodthirsty warrior reveling in the ichor gushing from his victims!

Suddenly, the steadiness of his hooves faltered on the slippery, cold tiles as pressure built above him. His irritating excuses for opponents clung to and increasingly stacked on his hide like leeches. Scoffing a massive wave of sparkly Saniya mist, the enormous Baku supported himself on his hind legs, then crushed the pile of ice puppets under his weight!

"KEH KEH KEH!" Gentō loudly cackled at the field of ice cubes around him. With the corpses of his enemies splattered all over the floor, only the most inane creatures would dare cross him as long as he lived!

But he wouldn't let them flee, no. The all-powerful Baku, who had realized the full potential of his people for the second time, would rain down a storm of revenge upon Yuki-onna and each component of her legacy!

...

......

That was, once he figured out how to flip himself back.

Stella:

This. Was. EVERYTHING!

Since she jumped off Kreef alongside her packmate, the Human girl indulged in a buffet of adrenaline and violence! Her golden fists, combined with Lien's claw strikes, coated with white Saniya, worked harmoniously to dismantle a puppet at a time.

"Ah, this feels satisfying!" said Stella after burying her closed hand into a golem's chest. "Man, fuck therapy!"

"Uh huh!" Lien munched on a pseudo-Yūrei's leg, crushing it between her teeth. "I was sure thirsty!" She licked her lips before consuming pieces from the desecrated limb.

The Human scowled when she glimpsed a puppet dashing at the vulnerable pup, wielding a scythe twice her size!

"Heads-up!" she yelled, lunging with her foot pointed at it for a flying kick!

It defended itself, successfully blocking the strike with the weapon's great handle, pushing it a few inches. Before it could counter-attack with a wide swing, a fluffy huntress jumped before Stella, pulling off a superhero landing that would've made the Knight proud!

Lien propelled herself with three paws, closing the remaining one and striking the puppet with a jaw-shattering uppercut! While stunned, Stella grabbed a red tile from the floor, poured a piece of her golden energy while spinning it with growing and hastening momentum, and then launched it straight at the construct's torso, creating a crevice where it was lodged in.

"You'd better take some distance, Lien!" While her open hand shone brighter with Saniya, Stella warned her packmate, who quickly complied and joined her side. Making a tight fist, she spurred the tile to explode, the shrapnel tearing the target from within!

"BOOM!" Stella wrapped her arm around her packmate's waist, both sharing a giggle.

Oh, what a barrel of laughs, these two! Hahahahahaha...

Ha...

...

As Stella stared down at the puppet's chipped, severed head, all that rush had suddenly halted, replaced by cruel reality. Those were even more life-like than the Gooplings. Yet, she was tearing them apart shamelessly like NPCs in a GTA game. That sure didn't bring back existential dread...

"LOVEBIRDS! MOVE YOUR BOTTOMS FAR AWAY FROM HERE!"

Hanaken's voice, the anchor for Stella's running thoughts for the second time that day, forced her and Lien to look back, allowing them to see a wave of ten puppets dashing at them with weapons sharp and thirsty for their souls. The Oni's hand carried a big, black sphere with orange cracks that shone through.

"DON'T STAND AROUND, PIPSQUEAKS! MOVE!!!" the red brute cried.

Complying with her commands, Hanaken could finally throw her ball of somewhat cooled magma at the constructs, splashing molten minerals on them when it crashed against the floor. Poor walking popsicles didn't stand a chance.

Stella took a break to stare at the battlefield in wonder, trusting Lien to suitably act as the lookout this time. She caught Venghaan and his subordinates taking out dozens of golems with a spinning flamethrower formation. While Hanaken ran towards the flipped-over Gentō to save his arrogant ass, Kreef dashed at distracted, airborne puppets, taking them out with a single thrust of his beak at their foreheads.

The Human couldn't believe what she was craving, but her heart couldn't stop running excitedly for the best brawl in her life! Her feet acted independently, hopping shortly as if she had traded minds with Lien.

She was one battle cry away from immersing herself in indisputable danger. Definitely, Lien thought-

"MY TURN!"

The pup erected a Saniya barrier around them. Before questioning, the Human jumped back as black tendrils smothered the spell, blocking their view of the outside world.

"What a shock! The little Wolf has grown!"

The girl's eyes followed the source of the concerningly familiar voice. Away from them, a pale figure stood. Even without discerning her features, how could she forget the whore who dared take her beloved as a hostage?

Stella's heart sank as she saw Lien's spell quavering under the hair's pressure. If these caught her, they could squeeze the life out of her faster than the world's largest snake.

Hari-onagu drifted closer. "Like nother, like daughter..."
