Isekai Journey Of The Magic Archer

Chapter 1119: The night at the tower

[OP: ]

The tower was divided into various parts and an entire floor was dedicated to sleeping areas alone.

There were bedrooms divided into various parts, of various sections, of various kinds, of various types. These bedrooms, while mainly having a unique theme to them, were created by the creature that had forgotten what it was like to have a good night's sleep.

After her many reincarnations into this world as a being possessing a destiny doomed for another circle, there were times when she did not even understand the basic concepts that were common to the normal mortals.

After her initial few lives, she had forgotten what it meant to be a being as well, and while it was not a simple thing for her, the world did not have the mortals, the humans that it does right now. In her time, the world was pure chaos, divided into sections not ruled by humans but demons and forces that opposed these beings of hell.

At that time, the existence of those who possessed divinity was the same as the light that could cut down the demonic existence with their mere presence.

There was a time when the creatures of nature looked up to the divine beings alone. Time when there was no god on the planet, when there was nothing more than beings that were born from nature and beings that had objectives necessary for the birth of the current world.

The initial civilizations were not that of the humans… humans came as the result of hundreds of years of evolution of beings who used to be of different natures.

According to the first theory of genesis, nature was the first entity that came to be, the first entity that created the outer world, the universe that the divinities born at the dawn of the universe knows of, and the outer reality that her second avatar controls.

From beyond the sky, at one point in time, came the white light of the dawn, illuminating the dark world that had nothing. Read latest stories on My Virtual Library Empire

From that, galaxies, planets, stars, star clusters, and the entirety of the universe along with the creatures tasked with something special came to being.

These creatures had something to do, and they did it with their utmost sincerity. They came to be, they divided the world into different realms, they ruled over these realms, and then they made grand complications that had their own rules and laws.

After some time passed, they created beings that they could be with themselves, or beings that they could observe for entertainment.

These objects of entertainment were not created by the gods, but by the beings that possessed primordial authorities of nature— the [Offsprings].

They existed before anything that exists right now came to be, and perhaps they exists even right now, however, no one aside from beings directly related to them would know about it… and the only beings that are directly related to them, in today's time, are called Elder Divine beasts, beings that has played a significant role in the creation of the current society, the world, the universe, and the entire observable universe.

Eon's master used to be one of the entities that existed for a very, very long time and lived a life that was different from most of the divine beasts.

She lived a difficult life of perpetual repetition. She lived life, she died, she was born again into the same world as a new being without the powers that she had worked so hard to gain, and lived a new life burning away each time she was defeated by either fate, or the world itself.

Eventually though, she found balance. She became an existence that was different from the rest. She rose above the others, and she dominated the world by herself, there even came a time when she was not really living the life of a mortal anymore.

She had become immortal.

Her names spread throughout the world, her achievements echoed within the very fabric of reality, however, after obtaining everything, she still could not deny her fate…

"She died again. And again. And again… but she was reborn. Again, and again, and again."

She killed herself many times. She lost hope at one point and tried different things to make something of her meaningless existence.

She was too kind to leave a child in this world who would have to suffer the same fate as her. She was afraid of what would happen to this world since she knew her own talents.

The world had almost ended because of her actions a few times, but if a child that does not possess as much resilience as her is born from her ashes, she knew the world that she ultimately adored, would end up in darker ashes rather than pure ones.

"So, master went around the world that now had humans. And after that, started the journey of a [Nameless] that branched into various historical records that were ultimately either destroyed, or classified as highly confidential."

The headmaster thought Eon merely was the successor or student of a Saint, however, that was not the case. He was the successor of a being that had contributed to the creation of nearly half the things that existed in This world.

"Also, she had created a world of her own… which I technically own as well."

Not that he could access it in any manner or do anything with it while he was a mortal. He would have to gain his own divinity first, and that would be a tough task.

But there was a possibility. So he knew he would have to deal with that World when the time comes as well.

There were many things that he needed to take care of, and among them, Rein was still one of his top priorities, something she couldn't help but be sad with since she knew how much he was handling by himself.

She wanted to help him, or at least lessen the burden that was on him even by a little, but that was not going to be possible with how she was right now.

"I'll do my best." She was determined though. More than ever before in fact.

She could not handle the environment inside the tower. With the strange things that she was seeing in there, it was also understandable that she was not feeling well.

However, she would work on it. She knew she would work on it the same way Zoe was working hard to take care of the rest of the people inside the tower.

She knew how Zoe had shown them their unique bedrooms already and how everyone including Anna had already gone to sleep– something that would not have been possible without her efforts.

"Don't be too hard on yourself."

Anna, Carla, Alf, Del, Zodiac, Quin, Chry… all of them were going to work hard to improve while they were here. She knew it well, so she could not be the only one being left out.

She needed to work harder than the rest of them and improve the control over her powers. Including the control of the eyes as well as her origin skill that might also evolve to the next stage while they are here.

She needed to get stronger so that she could look after things within the tower if not the ones outside. At the very least, she needed to put her own problems to a side for the time being and look after things here.

He was not going to listen to her and would help her in whatever way he wanted, she knew that so that was not going to change. However, at the very least, she would help him with what she could.

"We should go in now. It's getting late-."

"Can't we just sleep out here?"

There were a diverse variety of bedrooms present in the tower. Even without considering the floor reserved for the bedrooms of various kinds, there were many better places to rest in this place. And yet, Rein wanted to rest here for tonight.

"It's fine. We can do that."

The stars above were so clear they could see the steller belt of their galaxy within it. There was something unique about the moon above them as well… it was serene, it was calm, it was closer to them, and it was clearer.

The grass beneath them was soft, there was something simple yet elegant about each of the grassblade that contained a fragment of the power that was left within them through the Ashes that fell from the divine beast's last moments.

The floor was cool, the winds were present, and yet the temperature here was not that uncomfortable or anything– somehow, it was fine. Somehow, it was still pleasant.

"Axion…"

There was a certain scent of affection blooming from the flowers around them. The Mana was dense, and yet it was pure enough to refresh their minds and bodies simply by breathing into it.

The things that they all had gone through in the last few days…

Be it Anna who was now sleeping soundly as she hugged her white teddy bear, be it the brother and sister who looked out of their windows, at the vast sky above them, thinking of the vast difference that had been created between them and their goal… be it the knights– the grandpa or Chryses– or be it the friends that had worries of their own.

All of them were spending their night today in a place they could neither understand properly or could comprehend.

But still, they were resting since it was nighttime.

And since they had a lot to worry about already, since they had gone though things that simply did not make any sense today, it was simply better to just… sleep.

A new dawn would arrive, the morning winds would wake them up, they would live a new day, and after they have had some good breakfast, it would be much easier to worry about these things.

So for now, they went to sleep.

Or at least, laid in their soft beds, their feather beds, their waterbeds, and breathed a sigh of relief for the time being…
