Isekai Journey Of The Magic Archer

Chapter 1068 Regrouping with the party

[Eon's POV: ]

{ "We shall meet again. Though, until that time arrives…" }

The green eyed snake's spirit form, a simple extension of its actual form which was something similar to a Keeper, left us in the area where our party was present.

All the members of the party were already gathered in one place by the Naga warrior who had left earlier but due to the effects of the poison fog in their area, all of them including the person who became the reason for the damned time we spent fighting the Naga and finishing the trial of the Snake, the origin user, was also among them.

{ "We wish you a farewell and pray for your arduous Heroic journey." }

The snake with green eyes greeted both of us for the last time, and we knew this was our last meeting so, we deeply bowed and showed our gratitude for everything that they had done.

"Though the time we spent here was short, we have learned a lot. It would be an honour to receive your teachings once again if fate allows it."

I, personally, despite all the difficult things that we have faced, all those battles against those snakes, the Naga and the things that we have endured in the meantime, think that this experience was precious.

"Please be gentle with us if there really comes a next time." Even Rein, who might have only had negative feelings for everything They did to us in simpler circumstances, could not help thank them for the great experiences that we have had.

It was thanks to them that we were able to… it was thanks to them that She was able to access the divine power of her eyes and walk a step closer to the true Divinity of her own.

With time and with more experiences such as this one, perhaps she will awaken her own Divinity and gain complete control over her eyes.

Though, she and I both know there will be a long, thorny road ahead of us before reaching the stage of Divine Awakening.

{ "We have done nothing more than what we are supposed to do here. It was you who achieved everything." }

The body of the snake had almost faded. And even the Naga warrior, after his last nod of approval, had vanished from this space.

{ "We will be looking forward to seeing your [Achievements] the next time we meet. So, you better work on what you have earned here." }

The body of the snake had almost vanished with only the green eyes remaining of his spirit body.

{ "Also, if you can… please look for a candidate to succeed the Legacy that We guard." }

And with that last statement– request- from Them, even the eyes vanished from before us.

{ "You might come across many potential Candidates for all Six legacies so, keep them close. And…" }

The voice that had been as deep as that of an ancient being had now become as distant as an echo.

{ "Know that A Successor is not a volatile position… it is… ptssss… an honour… granted only to a few…" }

And with those last, meaningful words, the voice vanished as well. Leaving the two of us with the rest of our group who was still unconscious.

"Haaa…"

Rein was tired.

"Huuuu."

And so was I.

"Let's wake them up and get out of here. I know they are gonna be mad at this one when they come to their senses."

She wanted to finish this damned dungeon run and get out of here now that we have finished what could have been completed and had a door to the outside open right behind us… at some distance, yes, but it was right behind us.

"Before we do that though, Rein…" there was something I wanted to know though.

"Can you see what His Origin skill was all about now?"

The person who somehow managed to erase his existence from our senses and mind, the one who dragged all of us into that damned trial, this old person who had an Advanced origin mastery like me…

Even if Rein wasn't interested in all this anymore, I wanted to know more about it so that we can prevent him from doing any other crazy thing.

"Oh, right. Let me try…"

Now that Rein had awakened the Divine powers of her eyes she could see more than what she was able to.

The whole process of 'seeing' had changed for her now. The entire concept of perception, in fact, had changed for her from what I can tell after looking through her eyes with my Solnova spell.

She now saw the world in a way that I never thought was possible… perhaps, in a way that the higher beings see the world.

'It's difficult to put into words, but the world from her eyes was the same as the world from a higher point.'

She could see the various elemental entities around us, she could see the various spatial elements unseen to the common eyes, and she could also see things that even the special eyes like mine could not.

'She was able to tell the power level of the people with a unique combination of numbers and colors and intensity of the light that they carried, but now, even that had changed as simply looking at someone was enough for her to tell simple things about them.'

Be it name, their accurate or estimated age, the kind of strength they possess, whether they have any unique skills or not, whether they are stronger than a certain level or not. She could see more things present on the Screen as well.

"Hmmm. Oh? Damn… look, darling."

===Status===

[Origin skill: A Rock's Representation: Advanced mastery.]

A stone on the sidepath (Stage-2)Tossed aside (Stage-1)Karmic result (Stage-1)Justness of nothingness (Stage-1)Properties of monotonous objects (Stage-1)

~~~> The Origin skill focuses on the existence of a simple rock on the road, an interesting object that no one really pays any attention to.
~~~> Though the skill has a unique origin, the skill is the representation of the interesting nature of a simple object and its uncommon attributes, the mundane and interesting nature of it, as well as how it becomes an inspiration to some who see it in a different light.

~~~> With the skill, the user is able to represent the unique nature of common objects like the rocks on the sidewalks or one of the many branches of a tree or a blade of grass in a vast field.
~~~> When used properly, the user can effectively trick the mind and senses of anyone into perceiving them as an uninteresting object. With the branched skills offering a separate set of skills, the user can effectively work without being noticed by anyone, or willingly command powers that they otherwise could not.

~~~> Tricking the senses being the secondary objective of the skill, it primarily affects the characteristics of the user themselves, granting them a vast array of powers which could very well be used as offensive or defensive or assistance powers.
============
She did not need my Vision sharing skill to show me these status windows anymore. She was able to do so with just a thought.
Which, actually, was pretty convenient.
"I see. So that's why he didn't stand out much despite his unique role as a leader."
The way her skills gave detailed explanations to everything present in his status window was comparable to the analysis that Lucy does.
It was quite something. In fact, it was dazzling!
"Hey…"
She knew I felt envious of her skill, of her eyes. I apparently made it pretty obvious.
"Ah, damn."
I already have pretty cool eyes myself so I shouldn't be like this. Acting all childish and envious like this wasn't right.
"Anyway…"
I changed the subject and asked her to proceed with the next step.
"We will be talking about this later."
"Of course."
She knew discussing these things right now wasn't appropriate so she pushed it aside, and nodded back.
"Let's wake up the rest of them first."
"Yes."
Thankfully, all the party members were alive.
The poison had affected a few of them and injured the others, but the Naga warrior somehow neutralised the poison and we did not need anything like an antidote anymore.
Just using some Mana to channel their energy channels was enough to wake them up.
"Gasp!"
So, we did that, woke them all one by one starting from the two other captains– the knight and miss guide– and then proceeded to wake up the rest of them before helping them regain their energy and strength with high-grade potions.
They were stunned to see them wake up and give them such expensive potions that the party had not prepared itself.
But, for the time being, due to the confusion and the moment, they did not think much about this.
They just sat there, and thought back to the dangerous experience that they had just had. Some even started crying for obvious reasons.
"Around three days have passed…"
It did not take long for the two captains to realise a long time had passed since we all entered the dungeon.
For the two of us, it had been many more days, over a week in fact, but they did not need to know about all that.
"That bastard…!"
While a few of them helped those who could not handle their mental states and were breaking down, the rest channeled all their emotions and started cursing the person who had been the reason for their suffering.
Some even wanted to go and punch his unconscious body but the two captains stopped them for the time being.
And after calming the group down, we all focused on the decision of the five 'leaders' of this whole party… who were in no condition to even think straight at the moment.
