Chapter 46 – Help me with the festival.
Nahida walked through the streets of Tempest, and nothing seemed any different from usual. "Nazuna said they had started planning a festival. The preparations are probably just beginning."
Nahida arrived at Rimuru's house and noticed the solar panels had moved. A new building had been constructed next to Rimuru's house, and they had put solar panels on the roof.
Curious, Nahida went there.
In that building was everything Nahida had bought for Rimuru. The televisions, the generator, the video games. Rimuru had created a kind of games room. "But there's still a lot of space and other floors. How many things does he want me to buy for him?" Nahida smiled bitterly.
And while he was looking around the building, someone entered through the front door that Nahida had left open.
"Who's there?!" It was a female voice that Nahida remembered. It was Shion's voice. She had a wrinkled forehead and a sharp look, showing she was ready to attack whoever was inside.
It was a place that only people close to Rimuru could enter.
"It's me, Nahida. Rimuru's friend."
"Oh, it's you. What are you doing here? Did you come to get something?"
"It's not that, I was just curious. I didn't imagine Rimuru would build a building just for these things. Is he trying to create a cyber cafe or something?"
"I'm not sure. Try talking to him."
"Where is he?"
"He's in the meeting room. Come on, I'll take you there."
"Thanks." Nahida thanked him, and Shion shrugged. The two left the building and went inside the main building where Rimuru was planning the festival with other characters.
Shuna, Souei, Rigurd, Kaijin, and even Treyni were in the meeting room. It was the first time Nahida had seen her. Now that he had seen her, the only character Nahida wanted to meet was Milim.
He hadn't had the chance yet.
"Ah, Nahida. What brings you here?"
"I came to bring those things you asked me to buy. There are some snacks like Doritos, Ruffles, and Japanese brands. There are also several different types of sweets here." Nahida put the bag on the table.
Everyone in the room was curious.
"What's that? I can smell something good." Treyni was the first to react. She approached the bag and tried to pick it up, but Rimuru grabbed the bag before she could take anything from inside.
"Let's not get distracted." Rimuru cleared his throat. "Thanks for that, Nahida, but it's not a good time. We're busy."
"I know you're busy."
"So Nazuna told you about the festival?
"Yes, she said you'd started planning a festival. Have you done others before?"
"Oh yes, I've done several of them. But I want this festival to be the biggest of all."
"Excuse me for asking, Rimuru, but who is he?"
"My name is Nahida. Your name must be Treyni, right?" Nahida bowed to Treyni.
"Nahida? Hm..." Treyni thought. "I've never heard of you before."
"He's a friend who came from the same place as me. Try to get along with him. Right, Shion?"
"Me?"
"I see how you look at him. Don't try anything stupid."
"Tsk."
Nahida remained silent with a smile on his face. A bead of sweat ran down his cheek as he began to feel Shion's penetrating gaze on his back.
'I didn't know she hated me so much. Is there a reason for that?'

Nahida left the meeting room to go home. However, as he left Rimuru's house, the slime appeared behind him. "Hey, Nahida, wait up."
"Hm? What? Did you happen not to like the things I brought?" Rimuru was holding the bag.
"No, it's not that. I'm here to invite you to the festival. Or did you think I wouldn't invite you?"
"Nazuna said you would invite me, and I would have come to the festival anyway. It's been a while since I've been to a festival, so I'm looking forward to it. Even if it is full of monsters here."
"Hahaha, it's strange, isn't it? But why don't you go to festivals in Japan? It's quite common."
"I live in a rural area that doesn't have many festivals. For me to go to a festival, I'd have to take the train to the nearest city."
"Oh, I see. Which area do you live in?"
"Kansai. I live in an area close to Osaka, the largest city nearby."
"I see. Well, you're not far from Osaka, you should get out more and enjoy yourself. Or are you the type who prefers to stay at home? Have you ever had a girlfriend before?"
"I've had a few girlfriends, but my last relationship ended a while ago. And I'm different from the type who likes to stay at home. I only stay at home because there weren't many things to do in the area where I live."
"But you could just as well take the train to Osaka or another big city. You're making up an excuse to try to convince me that you're not antisocial." Rimuru gave a provocative smile.
Nahida sighed. "Believe what you want. Now I have to get back."
"What are you doing today?"
"I haven't thought about it yet. There's nothing to do at my hotel since I don't have any points to spend. I don't have anything to buy either, so there's no point in going out to a market. I'll stay in my hotel and rest for today."
"Since you have nothing to do, why don't you stay here and help us prepare the festival?"
"Help you? Hmmm. That's fine, but first I will go to my hotel to change my clothes. It's too hot here to wear long pants like that."
"And isn't it hot in Japan this time of year?"
"Yes. But it's been cold in my hotel since last night."
"Cold?!"
