Chapter 35 – Change of appearance. Shopping.
Lucky's look had mostly stayed the same. Only his clothes had changed. Before, he wore a white outfit, but now it was black.
"You look more elegant like that," Nahida said. He still hadn't washed his face, so he struggled to stay awake. Nahida didn't know why he felt so tired.
"Thank you. I came here to talk about the dishes. I thought of new dishes to add to the menu, but we'll need new ingredients."
"I see. Can you write down everything I need to buy? I'm going out today; I'll take the opportunity to buy everything."
"Write everything on a paper? Sure, I'll do that. Oh, and the guests have already come down and are having breakfast. I've taken care of everything, so don't worry."
"They've all come down?"
"Yes. When the guests started coming downstairs, you hadn't woken up yet, so I had to attend to them. It was a bit difficult, but I managed."
[ Guest satisfaction - 920/10000 ]
"I see. Well done, Lucky." The satisfaction had increased slightly, so Lucky had done an excellent job.
So, Nahida decided to ask about Nazuna. She hadn't returned to the hotel yet.
'Has she given up her job? No, probably not.' Nahida returned to his room, showered, and changed his clothes. He was getting ready to leave. He will buy the televisions for Rimuru and then go to the market.
When he arrived at the place where the guests had their meals, they greeted Nahida. Nahida greeted everyone with a smile and went into the kitchen.
Nahida had taken a few minutes in the shower, so when he arrived at the kitchen, Lucky had already finished writing down the ingredients for him to buy.
"There are some expensive ingredients here. Are you sure we need all this?"
"Yes. As well as the new ingredients, I've also put in what's missing... Like chicken and meat. It's been a while since you've been to the market to shop."
"Got it. It's all written down here, right?"
"Yes, it's all there. Now I'm going back to reading that book since I don't have any more customers to serve."
"Are you enjoying it?"
"A bit. It's not well written but is enough to keep me entertained."
"I have a few more if you want; they're in my room. But most might be too childish for you since they're Light Novels."
"Light Novels?"
"You don't know what they are?"
"I know."
"I have many of them in my closet. You can go there when you want something to read. But be careful, don't touch the brown box."
"I'll be careful." Lucky smiled, and Nahida lifted the corner of his lips. After that, Nahida said goodbye and left his hotel.
Then, he met his neighbor near the entrance.
"Good morning..." Nahida said to the lady. She raised her glasses and scratched her short white hair before taking something out of her pocket and handing it to Nahida.
"I found this right here last night. Is it yours by any chance?" Nahida saw what the woman had in her hand. It was a silver coin from Rimuru's world that shouldn't have been there.
Nahida searched his mind to see if he had dropped the coin there but didn't remember it. He took the coin from the woman's hand and bowed his head. "Thank you very much, Miyako-san. I was looking for this. It's a memory from my grandmother."
"A memory? Is it an old coin?"
"Exactly. I don't know what year or what country this coin is from, but my grandmother kept it with her. Thank you very much."
"Don't worry about it. And how's your family business going? It seems to be going very well. The smile on your face says so. It's been a long time since I've seen you smile like that. It would be best if you smiled more often... You look better that way."
"Thanks for the compliment. The hotel is quite busy even though it doesn't look like it." Nahida scratched his head. "I must go now, Miyako-san."
"See you later, Nahida." The lady smiled as she watched Nahida walk away down the small road.

Nahida had to take the train to the nearest town, where there was a large electronics store where he could find many televisions. There was an electronics store in the area where he lived, but it was small.
He got there in less than an hour.
As soon as Nahida entered the store, he was greeted by a sales assistant who bowed respectfully. It was common for Japanese people to act like this. Nahida then asked the sales assistant to show him the best televisions he had in the store.
"We have this model. We have 42-inch and 48-inch."
"Hmm, give me three of 48-inch." Nahida had already turned the gold coins into yen, so he had enough to buy the three televisions. The value of the gold coins was very high.
The salesman heard Nahida's request and couldn't believe it.
"Three? Are you sure?"
"Yes. A friend of mine asked me to buy him three televisions. I don't know why he wants so many."
"I see. Will you be able to take everything with you?"
"I think I can carry it all." Nahida had leveled up a few times, and even though he was in Japan, he felt very different. This meant that his status had permanently increased in whatever world he was in.
"All right. Where's your car? I can help you carry it there."
"I came by train."
"By train? So how are you going to carry this?"
"With my hands, of course. I'll have to be careful on the way."
"With your hands?!" The salesman shouted. He cleared his throat and asked again if Nahida was sure he would carry the televisions with just his hands, and he confirmed it.
The salesman still couldn't believe it, but he prepared the televisions for Nahida to take.
