"..." Nahida wore his glasses again. He cleared his throat and then began to sweat with his hand on his chin. He thought he was going crazy.
"Hotel management. I haven't woken up yet... I need to wake up." The mysterious screen closed, and Nahida went to his hotel kitchen to drink a glass of iced water.
After returning to the reception desk, the screen appeared again above his counter.
"Okay, let's think rationally. Ramiris and Beretta are characters from an anime. Now this video game screen has appeared. Yeah... yeah... that's a fanfic." That was the conclusion Nahida came to.
"I'm really in a fanfic or something. Okay, hotel management...this has to be a joke. What is it? The Sims or something? A clicker game? What the fuck?" Nahida slammed his hands against the counter.

He took a few deep breaths.
"Okay, since there is a system here. Divine voice, tell me what hotel management is." Nahida said. As a good otaku, he could already imagine something like this would happen, just like in Slime.

"That's interesting. Honestly, it's quite impressive. So my whole hotel is part of this system? Do you have a floor plan of my hotel for me to look at?"
And it was shown.
Nahida's hotel appeared like a 3d model just above the counter. Two floors. Downstairs: A reception area, a kitchen, and a large room with tables for guests to eat.
Upstairs: Five rooms with bathrooms. All of them were the same size, with two beds, without exception. Everything was detailed, even the paintings on the walls and the plant pots.
"This is crazy."
The 3d model was undone, and the initial system screen appeared again.

"Are you kidding? Do I need to wait 10 hours to increase the size of one of the rooms? And I need 340 points to improve the structure of the building. That's completely ridiculous."

Nahida ran towards the kitchen and put on his apron. Before he started preparing, he did a brief search.
"There's nothing... Not even in the wiki. Nothing talks about her favorite food, and now what do I do? She must like sweet things. If I bake a cake, will that be enough?"

"One more experience point!" Nahida had no idea how he gained experience and how long it took to receive a point. He wasn't calculating. He was focused on preparing the best cake of his life.

"It's ready! My greatest piece of art." Nahida was not only a terrible hotel manager but also a terrible cook. Still, he thought that cake was good enough.
It looked strange and messy, but it sure tasted good.
"Excuse me. I brought a gift from the hotel for our dear guests." Beretta opened the door. Beretta looked at Nahida for a few seconds before closing the door. "Hey!" He shouted in surprise.
After that, the door was opened again.
"A cake?!" It was Ramiris who appeared with her eyes shining. She ordered Beretta to get the cake, and then Nahida was dismissed.
He walked down the stairs, discouraged but with a sense of duty done. With this, Remiris' satisfaction would surely increase, and he would gain more experience points.
