The single volume of Chainsaw Man was officially released shortly after.
Akatsuki Comics divided the first 19 episodes of Chainsaw Man into two volumes based on the plot.
The first-week sales of Chainsaw Man were released shortly after the next issue of the magazine was launched.
"Sensei, the first-week sales for Chainsaw Man were 160,000 copies," Ayumi congratulated Ren over the phone. "Congratulations, sensei!"
160,000 copies, and Chainsaw Man released two single volumes this time, averaging 80,000 copies each.
Sales of 80,000 single volumes in the first week are quite good.
But Ren's previous sales of Edgerunners and Fire Punch were better than those of Chainsaw Man.
So it seemed a bit quiet.
"Thanks! Ayumi!" Ren said with a smile. "I already know. If you have time tonight, would you come over for dinner to celebrate?"
"Okay, no problem!"
Ayumi was also used to eating and drinking at Ren's house, so she agreed without hesitation.
Then they hung up the phone.
"160,000 copies sold...".
Yuka, Hiroki, and Akutami Yuta, who were working and eavesdropping on Ren's call, were very envious.
For Ren, this sales volume was nothing.
But now, for them, it's the dream of a lifetime.
"The sensei is still amazing... Chainsaw Man just released a single-volume book and has sold 160,000 copies," Akutami Yuta said with envy.
After getting along with Ren for so long, they knew that Ren was not a serious person and wouldn't mind them chatting during work hours.
So, they basically chatted with Ren without any scruples.
Ren, Yuka, Hiroki, and Akutami Yuta now have a sense of a master-disciple relationship.
He even began to understand Yuka, Hiroki, and Akutami Yuta.
Yuka is a person who is cold on the outside but warm on the inside. She seems shy and timid.
In fact, she likes to go online and argue with others.
Ren once saw Yuka arguing with others on the computer.
With that speed, it seems she can definitely defend her family...
The manga she likes are mostly passionate shonen manga.
But I don't know if Yuka really likes them or if she's deliberately pleasing Ren.
She always said her favorite work was Ren's Edgerunners, but... can Edgerunners be considered a passionate shonen manga?
Ren expressed his doubts...
Hiroki tends to be a bit of a chuunibyou, and the animations he watches are just manga about a Long Aotian pretending to be cool.
And he often talks to himself.
For example, in a corner, he suddenly made a sword-wielding gesture and shouted the name of a move like "Ashura Demon Slash."
Then, seeing Ren watching him from behind, he felt embarrassed.
After that, for some unknown reason, he slapped himself while working.
As for Akutami Yuta... his personality seemed normal, but Ren discovered that one of his hobbies didn't seem quite right...
he carried a photo of a star figure skater from Japan, and his phone wallpaper was also a photo of that star skater.
And he always looked at those photos and smiled.
The key is... that star skater is a man!
A man looking at another man's photo and smiling...
Ren couldn't think of any other possibilities besides grandfather and grandson, father and son.
But it's obvious that Akutami Yuta doesn't have a son yet, let alone a grandson.
This... Ren felt he had discovered an incredible secret.
But, fortunately... Akutami Yuta wasn't thinking about him.
Otherwise, Ren really had to consider his personal safety...
But other than that, Ren's three assistants were quite normal.
"You'll have a day like that too."
Ren smiled upon hearing Akutami Yuta's envious words.
At least Yuka and Akutami Yuta had that potential.
As for Hiroki, although he had never heard of such a famous mangaka in his previous life, upon seeing his artistic skills, Ren felt he was a bit weaker on the plot.
Right on this point, Hiroki could also become a famous mangaka! As for the story...
He still has many good ideas! "Then I'll borrow the sensei's good words."
Yuka, Hiroki, and Akutami Yuta heard the words and said with some joy.
Although they still felt they were Ren's words to comfort them, what if it came true?
And, after all, Ren is still a famous mangaka.
Receiving support from a famous mangaka, even if you know it might be for comfort, is undoubtedly a happy thing.
...
"Uncle! The usual! Give me a manga magazine!" Kenji Tanaka told the newsstand owner.
He had just gotten off work and was looking forward to buying a magazine to take home.
"Alright, no problem!"
The newsstand owner skillfully found a recent issue of a manga magazine and handed it to Kenji Tanaka.
After all, their business wasn't just this one time.
This young man had been buying magazines on weekends at this time for over two years.
The boss, as expected, was very impressed with such a veteran customer.
Kenji Tanaka took the magazine directly and paid.
On his way home, he returned to his rented house.
He changed into home clothes and slippers, took a Coke from the refrigerator, and opened the magazine comfortably.
Following the plot of the previous episode, the public safety devil hunter from the imperial capital followed Makima.
"Should we go for support?"
"Even if we hurry now, it's too late, right?" Tendo and Kurose asked Makima.
However, Makima was very calm and seemed to shrug. Then she said, "I think the enemy is coming for Denji."
"Let's finish them off here."
Makima's words confused Kenji Tanaka.
"Finish them off here?"
Kenji Tanaka continued to watch with curiosity.
Then, Makima said to Kurose, "Kurose, help me borrow 30 death row inmates from the execution ground."
She turned to Tendo and said, "Tendo, help me find a temple with higher ground nearby."
"Then..." Makima calmly looked at the screen and said, "Have someone help me prepare a new dress."
It seemed like she was talking to the fans outside the manga.
But... Makima is so beautiful like this!
Kenji Tanaka couldn't help but be attracted to the beauty of this female protagonist.
