Is It Wrong to Abusing Cartoon Tropes in Dungeon?

Chapter 112: 112 Level 5

After spending some time, Altair gathered all the corpses in one place. Using his beam saber, he evaporated any bloodstains left on the ground. Finally, he piled up the bodies, doused them with gasoline, and set them on fire. To make the flames burn faster, Altair even assisted the combustion with his beam saber while the fire raged.

Once the flames had burned out, Altair thoughtfully cleaned up the ashes and took them away—after all, leaving them behind would pollute the environment, wouldn't it?

As for the scorched marks left in the alley from the burning, there wasn't much he could do about that. It wasn't like he could rebuild the brick walls and pavement, right?

After finishing all this, Altair returned to the Familia's residence.

Inside the residence, Hestia and Saeko were waiting for him in the living room. As the captain of the Hestia Familia, it wouldn't do to start dinner without him.

Once Altair returned, the three of them immediately began eating. After dinner, they each took a bath, followed by Hestia assisting Saeko with her level-up process.

Before entering the dungeon, Saeko had already achieved S-rank in two of her stats: Agility and Dexterity. After defeating the Goliath in the dungeon, both stats broke through to SS-rank and maxed out. Meanwhile, her remaining stats all reached A-rank and maxed out as well.

Since Saeko wasn't a combatant known for raw strength and had no talent in magic, her focus was to push her speed to the absolute limit.

In a way, speed is power.

After leveling up, Saeko chose to develop the same skill as Altair: Abnormal Resistance. As a close-range fighter, her top priority was resisting crowd control effects.

As for everything else, Saeko believed that the blade in her hand could handle it all.

The Hestia Familia was steadily progressing, but the Apollo Familia was having a stroke of bad luck.

While Apollo was in his room fantasizing over fanart of Altair, chaos erupted within his Familia. Their captain, Hyakinthos, had gone missing. Not only that, but the Familia's main forces—male members who were Level 2 and some Level 1 members—had all vanished as well.

The remaining Familia members were clueless about their whereabouts. The captain had left with the main forces without explaining where they were going or giving any instructions. Even Apollo himself had no idea.

But these were the Familia's core members. Could they have gone to the dungeon?

The guards at the dungeon entrance, however, confirmed that no Apollo Familia members had entered. There were no records of them forming a group to delve into the dungeon. Besides, the Apollo Familia wasn't exactly known for dungeon exploration; they were far more interested in romance... with men.

Something was definitely off.

A few days ago, Hyakinthos had left with the main forces, leaving behind only a few Level 1 members and the Familia's rare female adventurers. If they didn't go to the dungeon, then where could they have gone? And there hadn't been any reports of them leaving the city.

Could an entire group of people simply vanish into thin air?

The members of the Apollo Familia were growing more and more anxious, but their god didn't seem to care at all. Yes, that's right—Apollo. Apollo wasn't the least bit concerned; instead, he remained in his room, clutching a pen, passionately ogling fanart of Altair. Suffice it to say, the man was utterly obsessed.

What Altair didn't expect, however, was that the Apollo Familia would end up being wiped out by someone else—a development that soon became the talk of all Orario.

And the ones responsible for eliminating the Apollo Familia? The Ishtar Familia.

After Altair had already dealt with the main forces of the Apollo Familia, he thought a war between Familias was no longer possible. Still, Apollo's persistent fixation on him was disturbing. Altair was considering whether he should finish off the remaining members of the Apollo Familia to leave Apollo entirely alone. Surely, if Apollo had no allies left, he wouldn't be able to stir up trouble anymore.

However, on the third day, the Ishtar Familia struck first. They completely absorbed the Apollo Familia. The one who carried out the attack was the Ishtar Familia's captain, a Level 5 adventurer infamous as a "man-killer." She was an Amazon over two meters tall, more massive than the Hulk, and notorious for her preference for physically overpowering men—though, to be fair, only the men she found attractive.

Interestingly, Ishtar Familia's takeover wasn't because their captain was interested in any of the men from Apollo Familia. Instead, it was their goddess, Ishtar, who had taken a liking to one of the women in Apollo's Familia.

That woman was Cassandra Ilion. Though only a Level 2 adventurer, she possessed a unique skill: prophetic dreams. Essentially, her dreams allowed her to see the future with nearly 100% accuracy, acting as a form of foresight. However, the visions in her dreams were often so abstract that no one ever took her warnings seriously.

When Apollo first recruited her into his Familia, it was precisely because of this ability—otherwise, he wouldn't have bothered since he had no interest in women.

For reasons unknown, Ishtar discovered Cassandra's abilities. Coupled with the news of the sudden disappearance of Apollo Familia's main forces, Ishtar decisively ordered her Familia to strike. They crushed the Apollo Familia and took Cassandra away.

Although Altair didn't get to show off in a full-blown Familia war against Apollo, the Apollo Familia still fell. The one silver lining for Apollo was that, unlike in the anime, he wasn't exiled from Orario. Instead, he became a solitary drifter, much like Hestia had been, relying on odd jobs to survive.

What Altair could never have anticipated, however, was that Apollo's odd jobs would lead him to become Orario's number one male host within just a month.

Though Apollo had no interest in women, he had no choice but to work to make a living. And given his divine status and naturally striking appearance, he ended up thriving in the host business, quickly becoming the top attraction at his host club.

Of course, Altair didn't care about this development. He had better things to do than pay attention to Apollo.

A week after Saeko's breakthrough in level, Altair took her back to the Loki Familia.

"This time, it's for the remaining two."

"No problem!"

Thanks to Altair's influence, Ais had grown significantly stronger, and her level-up was only a matter of time. Lefiya had also abandoned her tendency to follow in the footsteps of the Tohsaka family, which greatly pleased Loki. Now, all she needed was for Altair to work his magic on the remaining two Level 5 adventurers.
