Invincible Starts From Dao Fruit

Chapter 400 Start! [Seeking Monthly Tickets!]

Magic is profound and vast; it is unrealistic to master everything.

The magic academies across the Divine Throne Continent typically subdivide magic. For instance, the 'Sky City' of the East Continent categorizes magic into eleven systems: Force Field, Elements, Death Spirit, Summoning, Alchemy, Star Phase, Illusion Technique, Transformation, Electromagnetic, Thermodynamics, and Light-Dark.

Meanwhile, the 'Radiant Tower' of the West Continent classifies magic into four broad categories: Order, Destruction, Life, and Elements.

Although the divisions vary among institutions, they are more or less similar overall.

Chen Jichuan planned to start with the 'Summoning System' as the focus for developing his soon-to-be-constructed Mage Tower.

However, the 'Summoning System' serves merely as the core. Proficiency in 'Summoning Skills' and 'Contract Skills,' along with 'Spirit Link,' would suffice for one's travels. Yet, to become a skilled summoner, mastering various enhancing, amplifying, weakening, and debuffing magic is also essential.

This approach centers on Contracted Creatures, with the mage playing a supportive role.

Additionally, learning offensive and defensive magic is possible, enabling combined combat alongside Contracted Creatures.

Given the extensive range of magic types, relying solely on Chen Jichuan to teach is evidently impractical; he himself had not mastered much magic yet.

Thus, as the day for constructing the Mage Tower drew nearer and his understanding of the Valgrion Continent deepened, Chen Jichuan began searching for qualified mentors for his Mage Tower.

Chen Jichuan's strength was evident—a formidable mage capable of easily overpowering Third-level Magicians. Even without a Mage Tower yet, attracting talented Level 1 Mages with solid foundations was not difficult. Recruiting Second-level Mages, however, required more effort. By the Second Level, one could already be referred to as a 'Lord' in the Pan-plane, enjoying esteemed status and privileges within empires, serving as lecturers in academies, and becoming indispensable backbones for Mage Towers dispersed across the continent.

Without sufficient benefits or a promising future, even Third-level Mages were difficult to recruit.

Chen Jichuan did not aim high; he recruited casually as fate allowed.

Day after day passed.

He traversed the Valgrion Continent, and his ranks gradually strengthened—

Magic mentors.

Contracted Creatures.

The team for constructing and managing the Mage Tower expanded rapidly, growing at an astonishing pace.

Time flew by, the days slipping by like arrows and sunlight.

In the blink of an eye, another decade had passed.

...

A decade later.

"Woo woo woo~"

"Woo woo woo~"

Off the East Coast of the continent, a steamship sliced through the waves, heading toward 'Red Harbor' in the eastern region of the Helz Duchy.

Two male mages clad in pristine white Dharma Robes stepped off the ship first, followed by a group of wide-eyed, youthful boys and girls.

"We're finally here!"

"'Red Harbor'! This is already within the Helz Duchy. My father told me before that this duchy is southeast of our Silver Moon Kingdom. Traveling by land would require crossing two kingdoms and five duchies, with a round trip taking two to three years. Even merchants from our kingdom rarely venture here."

"Sea routes are much faster; it only takes two months."

"But the sea route is also dangerous. This journey terrified me. Those sea beasts are vicious—so much so that even Great Knights couldn't fend them off. Thankfully, our two mentors ensured our safety."

...

After two months at sea, the teenagers were restless. Now, stepping onto solid ground in a new environment, they felt a mix of nervousness, wonder, and anticipation. To ease their emotions, they chatted amongst themselves, speaking in hushed tones.

Morris and Grant, who led the group wielding magic wands, showed no expression on their faces. They did not linger at the harbor, summoning horse-drawn carriages to carry the teenagers out of 'Red Harbor' and toward the southwestern direction.

The sea journey lasted two months.

The land journey would take ten days.

On this day, after a long and exhausting trek, the twelve teenagers finally arrived at the renowned 'Summoning Cottage' spoken of by their mentors.

Hidden amid the mountains, turning at a bend, they found themselves facing a mountain path abruptly severed by a perilous cliff. At the cliff's center stood a towering structure that seemed to root in the abyss—its pinnacle piercing through the clouds, lofty and majestic, leaving the teenagers speechless with awe.

"Summoning Co...Cottage?"

"Is this really the academy where we are to enroll?"

"It's so high!"

"If this counts as a 'Cottage,' then the Observatory Tower in our Silver Moon Kingdom might as well be called a shack!"

"It's too grand and imposing!"

...

The exhaustion of the journey instantaneously melted away. Each teenager felt invigorated, their expressions alight with excitement and admiration.

"Welcome to 'Benage's Summoning Cottage.'"

While the teenagers were still in a daze, the clouds swirling around the massive tower suddenly shifted, spreading open to form a broad, paved pathway.

Shrouded in mist, it resembled a paradise.

The sound came from the misty pathway ahead, carrying a joyful and melodious tone.

"Qi Element Monarch?"

Morris and Grant's expressions shifted subtly.

Their keen eyes distinguished more than the astonished "Wow" exclamations of the teenagers. They recognized that the seemingly ordinary mist ahead was in fact a 'Qi Element Monarch,' equivalent to a Third-level Mage and far beyond their combined strength.

Despite having witnessed the headmaster's abilities numerous times, returning to find yet another Monarch-level Contracted Creature left them astonished.

"Follow us!"

The two exchanged glances. Morris called out to the teenagers before proceeding with Grant toward the towering structure.

...

'Summoning Cottage.'

After completing the enrollment process with the teenagers, Morris and Grant led them together to the Tenth Layer of the tower—the Dean's Office.

"Dean."
