Inheriting a Lost Bloodline, My First Task is to have heirs?!

Chapter 489 - Catching Up With My People (Part 3)

I used up the remaining three hours that the rest of the staff were busy with cooking and preparing different types of food. You can say that it is my little way of taking care and spoiling my people as a co-investor of this place.

Seeing that their storage is not so full as expected, I also added up some types of food ingredients and other seasonings in their food storage for more variety. I did this so that even if they ran out of the dishes I have prepared, they can still cook something healthy and delicious while waiting for my return.

As for the meal preparation, I pre-cut the ripe fruits in to ready-to-eat bite sized pieces and placed them in single serving cups. I also prepared different types of some soups, broths and stews. Since some of them want to keep themselves thin, I also made different types of salads and dressings that they all love.

To complete the meals, I also made different types of bread loaves for making sandwiches and toasts as well as sweet and savory types of breads. I also made some main courses using different cooking methods so they won't get tired eating meat, poultry and seafood. I will never skip on desserts so I made them pancakes, waffles, fruit flavored mousse, cakes, pies and even ice cream.

Within a few minutes, the kitchen started to be filled with the smell of delicious cooked food and I can hear the trio behind me sniffing at the scents greedily. I stored most of the items in the food pantry and then asked Galen, Kyros and Arsenti if they feel like eating anything. They excitedly stood up to peak at what I prepared and have already stored inside the pantry. After taking their picks, we all sat together around the same dining table and ate happily after a long while.

Zen was trying to repeatedly claw food with his little hands from Arsenti's plate at first but after a brief look from me, he behaved. Arsenti looked at me in surprise then at our son that suddenly became fully behaved sitting on his father's lap quietly. I smiled sweetly at Arsenti and mouthed to him, "I'll explain later".

Our meal continued in a joyous manner and about half an hour when the place was less busy, the other staff started dropping by at the dining area one by one to eat. They repeatedly said their thanks, saying that they finally have a lot of ready-to-eat food to choose from once again since I am here. They even said that it would be great if I can do this even if it was just once a month. I thought about it and I think that would be possible since I would need to visit Sohmiren regularly. Most importantly, I have a child in this place as well.

After the my busy evening and a filling meal, I bid everyone good night and started making my way to my personal room in Kama but before I could close my bedroom door, three trespassers pushed their way in so they can stay with me for the night. Aren't my men getting bold as the days go by?

It was good that I brought that huge bed that I requested to be made before from Freyheimr in this room so it was very spacious. The bed can literally fit up to 6 people comfortably if needed. Who would have known that I will actually share it with three grown men and an infant so soon?

Before going to sleep, as promised, I shared my little secret with the three that I can communicate telepathically to little Zen and for some reason, he can fully understand what I am saying even if he can't respond just yet. Though what I said to them is just a part of the truth of how I can communicate with my children, it was the simplest way to explain why the child who isn't even a year old yet, started babbling and behaving whenever our eyes meet.

I hugged my cute and obviously sleepy son. I also telepathically told the little guy that he did not have to hurry too much to talk since I will still hug, kiss and carry him even if he can't call me "mama" yet. His response was simply another set of babbles and giggles before his eyes started to droop till he fell asleep.

Given the circumstances and the number of people in the room, we did nothing but just really sleep in the same bed altogether. Surprisingly, there was no drama or fights as to who will sleep next to whom. I looked at each of the three men curiously and it was Kyros who was spooning me that whispered, "It was all settled with rock, paper and scissors". I couldn't help but laugh at his response.

The next morning, I bid my goodbye to the sad-looking trio and my bawling son. Amidst the sniffles and cries of Zen, he was actually able to say "mama" all of a sudden which surprised all of us and made it harder for me to leave my little baby behind. I started thinking on what to do next and I realized that since I will still need to go to Marahuyo, I can just bring him with me then just return him to Arsenti afterwards.

Arsenti was surprised that I gave such a consideration to Zen but he willingly let me borrow my little companion for the today just the same after giving me tons of instructions, a baby carrier and a baby bag. I quickly left Sklavryet while protecting my companion in a bubble and teleported to the plaza in Marahuyo.

My sudden appearance startled everyone who were currently busy with their own tasks around the area. One of the older inhabitants of the settlement immediately ran to house of the elders to announce my arrival. I did not move from the place I am standing on but in just a few minutes, my pregnant husbands and the elders all appeared in the plaza to greet me.

My husbands were about to pounce for a hug when they realize that I was carrying a cute little bundle in my arms. My husbands all stared in shock at the child and asked if it was my child from the first husband. I shook my head and smiled mysteriously. For some reason, it started to sound like a guessing game and after a couple of guesses I sighed as I realized that they are not letting this issue go without a proper answer.

I kissed little Zen on the forehead to make him take a little nap as I finish what I needed to talk about with the people in Marahuyo. We all went to the conference hall so I can clearly explain that the child is technically adopted but also mine at the same time. He was pure human with a different father and while he was still inside his father's belly, I converted him at the same time as I did his father. Now, he is my child now, an instant son.

Everybody looked at the child again in awe since they can sense that the child was definitely a deified human. My mystique husbands immediately understood my explanations as they were quite familiar of my bloodline abilities.

They left me quite a difficult question though, "How would my other deified husbands say about this child being born before my children from them?" I smiled helplessly as I never thought about that when I proposed this idea with Arsenti. Well, as I have always said... let the tomorrow's me handle the tomorrow's problems.

After the said topic was pushed aside, the elders gladly reported to me that there was a constant influx of mystiques asking for shelter in Marahuyo for the last several months that I was away. This explains the fact that there were a lot of unfamiliar faces around the plaza earlier. It also looked like there were more people than usual given that most of the elves, heralds and giants have moved out.

I praised everybody for a job well done and for helping their kind who are in need. I gave them instructions to make sure that everybody was provided for. I noticed that there were a few more giants, elves and heralds in the sanctuary. They must be escapees that wanted a safe place to live in. The elders told me that it took time to calm them since they were wondering why there are no more of their kind in the sanctuary upon their arrival when they clearly know that there were a huge number of their kind that escaped and came here.

As I started to discuss the upcoming move of my pregnant husbands and my in-laws to the world tree realm, my little Zen woke up and stared at me in confusion. I kissed the little guys cheek and surprisingly, his face started to scrunch up. He uttered, "dada" a few times with a sobbing voice before he went on a full blown loud cry. I had to hurry up and schedule the move to a few days later before I go back to my studies in the academe while soothing the crying baby in my arms.

After the discussion and with everyone's agreement, I hurriedly stood up. I gave a quick kiss to each of my three husbands and a hug while whispering that I will be back later in the evening in mystique language that they can all understand. I winked at them and told them that I have to return the little kid to his "dada" for now. I teleported back to my room in Kama after enveloping Zen in a little bubble of protection once more.
