Chapter 34: Chapter 34: Qin Ming's Rage
Amidst the chaotic crowd, Qin Ming remained relatively calm, crouching behind a barricade as he checked his revolver. Beside him, the militia captain, wrapped in bandages, wore a stern expression.
As the enemy drew near and halted, the street fell into an eerie silence.
After a few seconds of tense stillness, the heavy-armored swordsman, Kaile, suddenly roared and charged forward, brandishing his large sword. His soldiers followed, launching a coordinated assault.
The villagers, seeing the charge, hurriedly braced themselves, positioning their spears atop makeshift barricades, their faces full of fear.
With a loud crash, the heavy-armored swordsmen collided with the militia, and in mere moments, the defense line was torn open. The battle quickly devolved into chaos as both sides clashed.
Standing among the combatants, Qin Ming fired his revolver wildly, aiming for enemies up close. At such short range, ordinary soldiers fell with a single shot, while the tougher heavy-armored swordsmen were either gravely injured or killed with each bullet.
After shooting down four or five enemies and cutting down one with his short sword, Qin Ming ordered Fat Man to help hold the line, while he retreated slightly to reload his gun.
But just then, the crowd parted, and a familiar figure burst through—Flying Snake, the traitorous adventurer who had joined the enemy!
Wearing the armor of a heavy-armored swordsman, but sporting a modern bulletproof helmet, Flying Snake was accompanied by four heavy-armored swordsmen.
Spotting Qin Ming, Flying Snake's eyes lit up with excitement, and he pointed his weapon toward Qin Ming.
"That's him! Kill him!" he yelled.
With a roar, Flying Snake and the four heavy-armored swordsmen charged at Qin Ming. However, after a few steps, Flying Snake slowed down, allowing the swordsmen to overtake him.
The ambush earlier had made it clear that Qin Ming was a formidable opponent. Seizing the opportunity, Flying Snake had proposed forming a specialized team of heavy-armored swordsmen to eliminate tough targets like the militia captain and Qin Ming.
In fact, Qin Ming ranked even higher on Flying Snake's hit list than the militia captain.
Why? Because Qin Ming had a gun! Flying Snake couldn't risk letting him live—he might take them out from afar with well-placed shots. Qin Ming was killing soldiers far faster than the captain, making him a bigger threat.
If the village was to fall, Qin Ming had to die.
The sudden assault by four elite enemies startled Qin Ming, who quickly raised his revolver and fired a barrage of shots.
Bang! Bang! Bang!—two of the heavy-armored swordsmen were down, one dead, the other gravely injured. But the remaining two closed in fast, and worse, Qin Ming was out of bullets.
Seeing his predicament, Qin Ming's eyes narrowed. With no time to reload, he let out a furious roar and grabbed hold of a barricade post. Lifting the 200-pound wooden structure, he charged at the oncoming enemies.
The heavy-armored swordsmen were taken aback by the sight and swung their swords wildly in defense. However, their blades couldn't cut through the thick wood, and one of them was knocked off his feet, sent flying by the sheer force of Qin Ming's charge.
Before the downed swordsman could get up, Qin Ming smashed the barricade down onto him, splattering blood everywhere.
Now wielding the post like a flail, Qin Ming swung it around recklessly, knocking back any who dared approach.
Two of the remaining heavy-armored swordsmen stepped back in fear, hesitant to engage him.
In the distance, Flying Snake, growing anxious, started shoving nearby soldiers toward Qin Ming, urging them forward.
"Go! Kill him! Do it now!"
One soldier after another was pushed into the fray, but none dared get too close. Qin Ming's wild swings with the barricade post were too dangerous. Two brave (or foolish) soldiers attempted a direct attack, only to be struck by the post and sent flying, dead before they hit the ground.
Watching the carnage from afar, Flying Snake's face twisted in frustration. This wasn't what he had envisioned—Qin Ming was supposed to be overwhelmed and slaughtered in a flurry of blows once his bullets ran out.
But instead, Flying Snake saw Qin Ming holding his own, smashing his enemies left and right with the barricade.
Gritting his teeth, Flying Snake pulled a rifle from his inventory, dropped to one knee, and took aim.
After carefully aiming for three seconds, he pulled the trigger.
Bang!
The gunshot rang out, and Qin Ming, in the middle of swinging the barricade, suddenly jolted. His body shuddered violently, and he slowly looked down at his chest, where blood was seeping from a bullet wound, the tip of the bullet still embedded in his flesh.
Dropping the barricade, Qin Ming raised his head and locked eyes with Flying Snake, who was still holding the smoking rifle.
Flying Snake, seeing that his shot had merely injured Qin Ming instead of killing him, turned pale. He realized something was terribly wrong.
His guess was wrong! Qin Ming wasn't just focused on strength—his constitution was incredibly high too!
Panicking, Flying Snake tossed the rifle aside and bolted.
But as Flying Snake turned to flee, Qin Ming let out a furious roar from behind.
Raising the barricade like a bulldozer's shovel, Qin Ming charged forward, plowing through anyone in his path. One soldier was sent flying, while another was impaled on the tip of the barricade, carried along with Qin Ming's rampage.
With a speed of 10 points in agility, Qin Ming quickly closed the distance between him and Flying Snake. In a fit of rage, he hurled the barricade forward.
Boom!
The impact sent Flying Snake flying several meters through the air. Before he could recover, Qin Ming was already on top of him, pinning him to the ground.
Grabbing Flying Snake by the throat with one hand and holding the revolver in the other, Qin Ming began bludgeoning Flying Snake's head with the gun's metal butt.
"You... damn... bastard!"
Bang!
"I didn't provoke you!"
Bang!
"But you dared to come after me!"
Bang!
"I'll teach you for shooting at me! Shooting at me!"
Bang! Bang! Bang!
After several blows, Flying Snake was still struggling. Enraged, Qin Ming reloaded his revolver, pressed the barrel against the back of Flying Snake's head...
Bang!
