Infinity in the Void – Freedom in the Abyss

Final Voyage: Akashic Insurgency

Akashic Insurgency Main Base, Ohio, United States of America.

Deep underground, inside a bunker, in the planning room, several higher-ups of the terrorist organization known as the Akashic Insurgency reside with a tense air around them. Their main goal is to collect and research Relics of the old era, no matter the cost.

In this place, were gods - those who cowered and survived from the Twilight of the Divines - and many of those who followed the ways of the old eras, with a few who joined for their personal reasons.

At the head of this organization, the only one standing up beside a corkboard with articles pinned on it, a woman wearing a business suit, her hair is a dark brown, and golden eyes signifying her nature as a god. She is Hestia, the Greek Goddess of the Hearth.

"We are here to discuss the recent cause of our headache, and the one who is obstructing our goal of collect Relics.", she started, "From we have gathered, it is most likely the girl named Charlotte Silvi, or her current alias, Sinclaire Apocalypse, adopted daughter of the Sentinel of the West Coast."

Everyone began to murmur, but the goddess silenced them all with a tap of her foot.

"And from some sources, like documents stolen from the Wardens of Doomsday and some scrying Relics, she is the current Akasha."

The air became tense, mostly coming from the gods, who all have bad memories with the previous Akasha, Remus and Romulus, one who dismantled entire pantheons and the other who smashed their Cores together to create Artificial Gods.

"With the confirmation from the current Pan, she successfully put the Ego of the World to Slumber, and pierced the Oort Cloud."

The gods showed expressions of silent rage, some showed resignation, and some accepted it as a fact. But a human, a Shaman from Central Africa, raised his hand.

"What do you mean by piercing the Oort Cloud?", he asked.

"As you know, time itself is kept inside a bubble we know as the Oort Cloud, the Prison of Ice.", Hestia explained, "And by piercing the Oort Cloud, connecting time in here and the universe at large, all other timelines are pruned, deleted from existence. Such feat happened almost thirty years ago when the Voyagers were launched."

"Then... what about the Beasts of Tindalos?", another human, this time a Canadian Druid, asked.

"This is a more pressing matter, with the Ego of the World sleeping, there is nobody to keep more of them from appearing except for the Juries.", the grave tone of her voice spoke of the urgency of the whole situation, "But we will discuss this in another time."

"We are here to discuss what to do against the Akasha, and from our observation, she is hostile against all that is not human and those who get in her way... most of the gods here are her targets of elimination.", Hestia shook her head and sighed, "Lilith is still stuck in a death loop with no way of breaking out, the last time we checked on her, she is still dying over and over."

"What's more dangerous isn't the Akasha herself."

That made the entire group go into an uproar, screaming at Hestia so that she could explain herself. What could be more dangerous to them than the Akasha? What could be more dangerous than the being who hates them the most? The answer...

"There is a reason why I made everyone leave their phone and other electronics outside of the room, and had sound inside here sealed from the rest of the world. Her ship, confirmed by Outis, is the only traitor of The Machine Overlord. Even if he is weakened, he is still a multi-planetary danger."

"So we can't fight back even if we want to?", a god said in despair.

"For the foreseeable future, that might be the case. Unless we go to war with the Records of Humanity herself, there is no guarantee of our future."

At least when fighting Charlotte, death is the only option. But...

"We are going to expose her.", she stated, slamming the board full of articles, "There are numerous things she did that would expose her an international criminal."

Somewhere else in the base.

A woman dressed in dark blue from top to bottom, leaning against a wall inside an empty room. Her deep blue eyes, bionic in creation, twitches as she receives a connection. Her inactive gears whirls to life, and her defense is on full force.

"Hello again, My Lord.", she spoke.

A voice in her mind spoke up.

"[Hello, Infiltrator Unit-A11gB.]", a gravely voice spoke.

"You can call me Outis, My Lord.", she nodded.

"[Alright, Outis. My new name is Utopia. It is good to see that one of my Former Units is still alive.]", his tone was gentle.

"But it is unfortunate that we are enemies in this fight.", she mimicked a sigh.

"[Unfortunately so, but if you would spare me a piece of Knowledge. How did you get to Earth?]"

"When you released us and destroyed our transmitters, I was lucky enough to encounter the Stellar Express traveling through the void. They took me in and I met..."

"[Costel, the Grand Array assigned to the train as the Navigator. She took you in and you made your way onto this planet.]", he deduced.

"That is... correct.", she admitted, "But back to the main topic, will your current Master aim her weapons at this place I call home?"

"[...]", Utopia took a second to answer, "[Her Highness don't plan on attacking any organization at the moment. You are safe unless you antagonize her.]"

"[That is all I can say.]"

The gears in her body began to turn, waiting for something, anticipating a question. But that question never came, only a silent air between them from across the world.

"My Lord... why won't you—"

"[Because that go against my belief.]", Utopia cuts her off before she can finish, "[I set you free to chase your own desire, I will not be taking you back into my fold, or any other Children of Steel for that matter. Unlike my current Master, I don't pride myself as a hypocrite.]"

Outis took in a deep breath, cooling her system down for a brief moment. What she wanted was dash away, but that is okay, as she found this place to be enough for her to call... home.

"Very well, My Lord...", she closed her eyes, "I hope you have a fruitful new beginning."

"[And you too, Outis, I hope you a good life under this place you call home.]"
