Infinite Potential System

Chapter 480: Overpowered Ascensions!

The System confirmed William's decision, then proceeded to upgrade the Mana Dominator Talent. Differently from when he combined multiple Talents into Mana Dominator, there was not an overwhelming wave of Mana.

Instead, the Mana fluctuations remained within the hidden room. William sat at the center, his eyes calmly scanning the environment around him while the ambient Mana became clearer and easier to control.

William couldn't help but smile when he saw the effects of the Mana Dominator Talent. He leaned from left to right in excitement while getting a feel for the new bonus effects.

Just the Mana Regeneration alone was enough to make William happy. If he recovered 64 thousand Mana per hour and that number was boosted by sixteen times when out of combat, William would recover a million Mana in around an hour!

In comparison to a normal Cultivator in the Ascended Realm that would be lucky to have a few hundred thousand Mana in their reserves, William's now 63 million Mana would put anyone to shame.

He wondered if there was even a Cultivator in the Deity Realm that had more Mana Reserves than him.

The Mana Efficiency was just another bonus on top of the Mana Regeneration that made it almost impossible for him to run out of Mana. Even if William had all of his Territories active at once, it would take years for him to exhaust himself.

He hadn't tested out his Laws enough to get a feel for their Mana cost, but he guessed that it couldn't be much different. William could probably fight for months without rest at this point.

The enhanced Mana Control was the main reason why William upgraded the Mana Dominator Talent so early. He wasn't at the point where his Mana would run out quickly, but doubling the amount of control he had over the Elements was no small matter.

This included everything from the Fire Element to Order, and even Fate or Karma. The time spent trying to learn new Spells would also be greatly decreased, allowing William to put more work into his Cultivation.

The Ascended Bonus that was now revealed also told William that he had a slight resistance to Dimensional Restrictions, which explained why his Ascended Talents weren't fully suppressed in the Filem Academy.

In addition to the X-Rank Bonus Effects that would help him during the Elemental Affinity upgrades, the Mana Dominator Talent as a whole was probably the best upgrade decision William had ever made.

If not for the Fitness Talent Ascension being locked until the System reached S-Rank, William would have upgraded that as well.

It's too bad the Mana Dominator Talent costs 25 Ascended Points to upgrade again. That's way too expensive for me at the current moment, I'll have to stock up for a while before I can boost that up again.

-You can't blame me for that.

I didn't even say anything to you! William retorted angrily.

-You were thinking it.

Okay, but I didn't say it! Besides, technically you make the prices. How can I complain though after getting such an awesome Mana Dominator Talent?

-Saying nice things won't make me forget what you said earlier.

Hehe. William sensed an interesting emotion from the System that he decided to keep to himself. He moved on to the next two Talents— Forcefield and Forcefield Recovery— which both had the same Epic Cultivation Technique requirement as the Mana Dominator Talent.

The reasoning for this was simple. William had plenty of attack power, but he had to hide it anyway so it wouldn't help him much. He had the Soul Talent enhancing his Soul Strength to unbelievable levels, making him invincible in the same Realm when it came to Sea of Consciousness battles.

Additionally, William had the Ascended Recovery Talent that helped to recover from any heavy wounds such as the Spatial Slash from earlier.

Since he couldn't Ascend the Hard Body Talent until he got 3 Initial Deity Realm Earthwyrm Scales, it was better to find another defensive Talent to take its place for now.

The best part about the Forcefield Talent was that he could deactivate and reactivate it at will. It was the perfect Talent to upgrade for someone that was trying to lay low. Forcefield Recovery went right with it, and the Ascension requirements weren't stringent at all.

While the two Talents didn't have many effects overall, just the shield alone was enough to turn the Forcefield Talent into an indispensable tool. William instantly spent 5 Ascended Points, upgrading the defensive strength of the Forcefield Talent to the middle stages of the Initial Deity Realm.

At the same time, the maximum range of the Forcefield expanded to ten kilometers, which was a small area but allowed him to cover a large number of allies if he wished.

After upgrading Forcefield, William moved on to raise his Ascended Cultivation Talent to Ascended E-Rank, costing another 5 Ascended Points.

With only four Ascended Points left in his balance, William decided that this was enough upgrades for now and sat up from his seat. He planned to return to the Quake Dungeon regularly to upgrade his Talents some more, so he wasn't too worried about missing out on upgrades.

I still have a few weeks left to upgrade the System. I need 14 more Ascended Points, so let's get earning!
