Chapter 365 - Dead ?
William concentrated his spell in cooperation with Clawdia who also prepared her attack and waited before using their ultimate attack on the frenzied beast.
William used almost all of his mana points in his spear as he called on his 'Heavens Judgement' skill. While on the other hand, Clawdia crawled on all four and lowered her body even more as a large ball of lightning was buzzing right above her body.
Both attacks were quite heavy and powerful in their own way, William's attack was great too, especially because of the extremely high amounts of mana he put in the skill.
The spear in his hands buzzed with life and vibrated greatly as the white lightning cracked constantly without stopping. The spear felt like it had accumulated so much lightning that it was ready to explode in that moment but held on.
While William's attack was great itself, but it still couldn't compare with Clawdia's own lightning ball. She was of course a level 6 beast and her prowess was significantly greater than William.
Even though William poured in all of his mana in the attack, his attack still wouldn't as strong as hers. The experience and proper usage of mana and spells of a higher level being would always be better than one at lower level, no matter how much mana is poured into it.
William looked at Clawdia as he asked her telepathically, 'You ready, girl.'
'Yes, Master.'
William looked back at the monster as it finally stopped thrashing around and was now looking for them. He knew that right now was the perfect moment to strike it. So he called out.
"DIE BITCH!"
He said and pointed his spear at the beast as white lightning chirped from it and flew out in quick succession. He wasn't the only one as Clawdia too threw over her blue lightning ball that went along with the white lightning streaks.
But somehow, William's lightning streak was faster than Clawdia's. Clawdia's lightning ball was going slower and slower but it still had the intensity of a level 6 beast's full power.
The beast looked at both spells and in that moment, it's instinct was telling it to avoid them as much as possible. It could tell how much damage both of those attacks could do if it were to hit it.
But fortunately, the attacks were quite fast and the monster saw that running away or avoiding it was not an option. So, it turned on all of the defensive measures it had as a dark blue lair of aura surrounded its body.
Even though it knew that the defensive measure wouldn't be able to stop the blue lightning ball which was much more dangerous than the faster white lightning. But it was confident in the dark blue aura to stop the white lightning bolt.
So it faced quite a surprise when it saw the white lightning bolt, penetrating through its dark blue aura instantly. It felt like the white lightning bolt didn't even stop at the aura and just bypassed it.
Was the white lightning so strong that its defenses were crippled that quickly?
Alas, the truth was behind William's own skill.
PENETRATION
The skill that he was gifted by the goddess was an extremely important one and one that came to use at this critical moment.
When William saw the dark blue aura on the monster's body, he felt dismayed for a moment but smiled in the next as he saw his heaven's judgement penetrating through the shield like knife cutting through soft cheese.
It was extremely satisfying.
The monster didn't have a moment to think about any countermeasure as the white lightning hit him square on the chest as it felt extreme pain and roared out.
"RAAAHHHHH!!"
The roar was quieted in the next moment as Clawdia's own lighting ball hit it. But unknowingly, instead of just being electrified, a light appeared.
A light that quickly engulfed the surrounding.
Clawdia quickly came and stood in front of William as she protected her master from the light as it engulfed them too. Then when it seemed like nothing else was left, an explosion occurred followed with an ear piercing cry.
"ARRRRRRHHHH!"
It was the beast's own cry as it was engulfed in both attack.
The last thing the beast saw before it was shot down, was the face of the human that it just wanted to eat… was it too much to ask?
The beast thought as the light went away and instead stood a monster with charred body all around. It stood like a statue as it kept gawking at William and Clawdia.
William too looked at it and Clawdia sneered in anger ready to pounce again if the monster were to attack. But contrary to both of their expectations, the monster's eyes went back in its head and it fell right in front of them with a loud 'thud'.
William looked at the monster with wide eyes. He didn't think that it would be so easy to defeated it and may be lying there and acting dead. So he sent Clawdia out there to take a look at it and when she finally gave him the 'ok' sign, did he came out.
William looked at the monsters majestic sight and sighed.
'Well… not majestic anymore though, might have used a bit too much on the attack back there.' William thought as he looked at the charred skin of the monster which made it impossible to trace it back to its original look.
But seeing the monster finally lying dead, he gave out a large sigh as he felt the worse part was finally over.
'To think that it would be this easy to kill you… you who killed off all of my security guys and maybe even them.'
Thinking up that point, William's mind downpoured as faces of Delmar drowning in money and Emily in paperwork came to his mind.
'Anne, is there any way to tell if both of them survived this?'
'Unfortunately no. I am only connected to you spiritually and can only help you through the store and other related things. Finding out about your friends is another matter.'
'None the less, we need to find both of them and finally get back home from all of these mess and think about a way to take care of Baphomet.' William thought resolutely as he scratched Clawdia's head.
'About Baphomet-'
Before Anne could recall, William saw the monster's eyes lit up in red as his instincts flared up in danger.
'Shit! What the fuck is it doing now?'
'It's about to self-destruct itself.' Anne told William as his eyes widened.
'Quickly, Run away now.' Anne said and William tried to but both his and Clawdia's body suddenly felt a lot heavier than before.
It felt like his body was being called down towards the ground with great force.
'I'm trying to… but my body feels heavy all of a sudden.'
'Damn! It may be the skill of the beast. It's trying to bring down both of you with all of its powe-'
Anne stopped abruptly before saying, 'William… your luck… it's rising again.'
'How the hell is luck going to help me out her-'
William stopped as he saw something blitz past him towards the monster.
