Chapter 119: {[Hellion, the Hellish Sphinx (S- - Rank) (True Form)]} - [Danger Rating: Black]
The air within the 5th Floor of the Oracle Sphinx's Pyramid broke out into multiple layers of increasingly lethal killing intent. All of it originated from the body of a lone human. His eyes, like pools of bluish-red and black death, bore into the being of the sexy Egyptian woman.
Conversely, the Hellish Sphinx also erupted in killing intent, yet hers was far more docile and oddly good-natured.
Breathing coldly, Cassius asked, "Do you truly plan to stand in my way, even though I correctly answered all of your riddles?"
"Answer them you have, but death you do not seek," replied Hellion. "Your soul burns bright with a will to live. Death does not chase; one chases death. Yet you are not destined to die just yet. Your fate threads out, reaching far beyond what even I can see. Your strength, however, is far from sufficient to amass such a fate."
"Why is this one asks? Why are you special? I seek the answer to this question, and for that, you must live. Your death lies ahead, yet your future remains behind. Your entry I shall not permit."
"I see…"
All at once, Cassius's killing intent subsided.
"Your sentiment is something I appreciate," he uttered. "I doubt many in my life would say the same things when it concerns my life and death. From this, I can see that your description does not lie. You truly are kind; the answers you laid out were so difficult for this very reason, I bet."
"Then there's your killing intent… You have never killed anything other than demons, have you?"
Surprise briefly flashed past Hellion's pupils, yet her stance stood unwavering. "Even if you know that, you are not to pass, human—"
"I know," Cassius interrupted, his face gradually fading. "But I simply have to make it into the 1st Floor of HELL. Only that way can I level up and become stronger."
FWOOOP—!!
He fully vanished, then reappeared behind Hellion. With Lilith already tightly clasped in his right hand, he slashed out with every ounce of his physical strength.
Hellion sighed. "How foolish, holder of high fate."
BOOOM!!!
Like getting hit by a freight train, Cassius's muscular figure was launched backward at absurd speeds. In an instant, he planted into the floor's sturdy wall. Yet, even with the fortitude of the Pyramid thrown into the equation, his collision against the wall created a crater that rippled out in progressively higher waves.
"Why must one be so foolish? Your life I am trying to preserve, yet you resist. Why is this?"
Hellion's crisp voice, bereft of emotion, echoed throughout the Pyramid's 5th Floor, quickly reaching the ears of the bleeding man in the process of slowly peeling himself off the wall. Yet her words, oozing a certain degree of kindness, worked opposite as intended.
Cassius fell face-first to the ground. However, before he unceremoniously collapsed, his vision flickered. His consciousness returned thereafter, and the first thing he did was smash his fists into the floor to prevent himself from humiliating himself any further.
A fire of unwillingness burned like a fiery, uncontrollable sun inside the core of his being.
Slowly, he turned his head up, blood gushing from several orifices. "This is not nearly enough to deter me," he announced, his booming voice breaking through the Sphinx's euphoric chords. "If you want me to leave, then you'll have to kill me…!"
Cassius gnashed his bloody white teeth before bouncing backward like a rigid springboard. Then, with a crackle of crimson lightning, he blurred forward. A barrage of skills shot off in rapid succession as he used everything in his arsenal, burning through more than half of his MP in one go.
Nyxvoldar was also summoned from his shadow and fused with his existence, resulting in an even greater boost to his speed and overall power.
Cassius was already moving thousands of times the speed of sound, even beyond that. But after activating all of his skills, he exceeded tens of thousands of times the speed of sound.
If used in relativity to the circumference of Earth, he could burst across the entire thing in mere seconds!
"Dragonfire Atomic Burst!" Cassius called out when he made it less than a few inches away from the nonchalant Egyptian goddess.
A massive fiery explosion erupted from the palm of the hand he used to hold Lilith. The entire interior area of the 5th Floor was immediately engulfed in flames, creating a spectacle that would surely dazzle even the strongest of A-rank Hunters.
The fire-related skill of an inherent Dragon Title was no joke, especially not if it originated from an overpowered existence like the Tyrant Dragon.
Just the smallest amount of a genuine Tyrant Dragon's fire could wipe out whole solar systems!
And though Cassius's version was dampened by an incredible amount, he also had the sub-elemental infusions of his Atomic element to further amplify the skill's destructive power.
'Although this isn't an official skill, as I merely combined different elemental aspects into an easily susceptible flame, it should still be able to rival something of the A++ Rank. Moreover, I also have the 2nd Layer Basic Movement Manual to assist in the flame closing the distance—'
Before he could even finish getting the thought bubbles out, a wild gust of wind burst forth from the center of the Dragonfire's explosion radius. Then, without even a second given to the fire to linger, it was all dispersed with several radiant arcs of golden wind light.
"Why must you make this more difficult than it needs to be, Child?" asked Hellion, her voice forcing Cassius to look toward its source.
That was when he saw it…
A goddess-like woman so devastatingly beautiful that entire countries would go to war just to get the slightest glimpse of her magnificence. And though it didn't seem possible, she had become even more beautiful than she was a few seconds ago. Furthermore, a bedazzled crown resembling a halo formed above her head, making her truly appear like some sort of deity.
Cassius also noticed a colder, more detached gleam appear within those resplendent pupils of hers.
