Chapter 61: |Cosmic Clone Summoning|
In the Shadow God Kingdom.
Inside a lavish castle in the capital city.
OOOM!
"That little brat isn't dead yet!?" came the furious shouting of a young man who held the title of Number 1 Prodigy Under Heaven. "And why hasn't the Ancestor come back yet?? It has already been more than two years since he left!"
BANG! BANG!
The interior of the castle was being ravished by Ashvar's temper tantrum, and if not stopped soon, there might not be a castle to speak of.
Fortunately, the appearance of an effortlessly beautiful and seductive woman calmed his nerves.
"My Lord, there's no need to get so worked up over this." She wrapped herself around him, sitting on his lap. "That kid is just rumored to have talent similar to yours. His age, however, is certain. Being only nine, what can he possibly to do to you?"
Ashvar exhaled sharply, his eyes softening considerably for the stunning woman making herself at home on top of him.
Nodding, he said, "You're right, Viviana."
"And, my Lord, when you and the Shadow God finish up the preparations involving the destruction of the Moon God and his kingdom, where will that kid be able to hide? He'll be yours to do with as you will, no threat to your reign…"
Viviana stopped speaking when she saw the expression Ashvar was making—as if he were scared of something.
"It's fine because it's just the two of us, but you must be careful when you speak of the Gods in the future," he cautioned. "Their plans and ambitions go beyond us. Even I am subject to their will and will die if they deem me unworthy of living, let alone you."
Viviana replied gravely, "I understand, my Lord. It won't happen again."
"Good," Ashvar nodded. "But enough of that. Why don't we do something more fun than talking?"
A smirk formed on his face as he grabbed onto her voluptuous butt.
"Oh, my Lord~"
The night went on to be a very eventful one, with the one recognized as the most talented in the world also turning out to be quite the promiscuous fellow.
Meanwhile, in a location far, far away, Jin abruptly opened his eyes. He swiveled his head in the Shadow God Kingdom's direction before returning his gaze straight ahead.
"I'm surprised the Shadow God Kingdom has not made a move against me yet," said Jin, weirdly disappointed. "Unlike the other kingdoms that opposed my existence enough to send out many more rounds of assassins, the Shadow God Kingdom is sticking to the bleachers. It makes it difficult for me to take control of the assassins' minds and more easily integrate my empire into their kingdoms from the inside."
However, with the Shadow God Kingdom being so confusing, it would seem that he had no choice but to do things the… hard way.
|Cosmic Clone Summoning|
FWIP!
Appearing in front of Jin was someone that looked just like him. The only difference was that the lookalike possessed approximately 10% of his total strength.
"Go, change your face to match the situation, and internally overthrow the Shadow God Kingdom's government." Jin gave his command, and the clone obeyed, for they were, after all, the same person.
This technique of sorts was something he comprehended from many long hours of staring at and comprehending strands of Cosmic Singularity Intent. And it wasn't until after the 7,777th strand condensed that the secret technique finally actualized in the form of a self-made Growth Skill.
Although merely able to create a single clone with 10% of his strength, that was better than the 1% power it originally had, and there was potential for greater growth. Jin simply had to continue developing the technique and improving his own cultivation, with both meaning that he had to comprehend even more Intents and Elements.
"After more than two years of speeding things along, I've obtained many more Super Element Crystals from the Academy and the factions outside. From that, I've comprehended hundreds of millions of Intents, with my perfection rate already far beyond 99.999999%."
Yet Jin still felt that he was lacking.
"If 777 Cosmic Strands aren't enough, and 7,777 and 77,777 aren't either, then I just need even more. More than even the craziest people can imagine to be possible."
Every second of every day, Jin was comprehending Intents and Elements. He was practically a perpetual comprehension machine for them.
However, they weren't the only things he had been focusing on during the past two years. For one, there were his Rules, among which numbered every single one available in this world. Moreover, they had all reached their caps, with the most difficult like Time, Life, and Death capping at 3, whereas the rest stayed between 4 and 5.
The restrictions on Rule comprehensions were unfortunate, but they nonetheless made sense. And even with the restrictions, Jin was beyond grateful that he could acquire so many benefits from the True Spirit Continent—as grasping Rules was another kind of easy in a world like this one, as opposed to the highly complex Main World.
If given the same amount of time to comprehend Rules in the Main World, Jin might have never even gotten the Time Rule to Level 1. As for the rest, none would've exceeded Level 2.
Super Element Crystals had a part to play in this, but it was mainly the worlds that changed things.
"However, as of late, I've noticed that the number of Elements I can comprehend from Super Element Crystals has decreased tremendously—almost like I've finally obtained as much as I could from this world in terms of Intent acquisition," Jin sighed. "And the worst part is that I have this feeling that there's something more immensely beneficial than a Super Element Crystal out there; I just can't seem to find it. Almost as if it's purposefully hiding from me."
He hoped the Martial Dao Empire and its extending connections would help in overturning every rock and stone until that damned thing revealed itself—
"Student Arthur?"
