In unOrdinary as John Doe

Chapter 3: Chapter 3

(Two months later)

(John's P.O.V)

Finally, I'm back to school.

I haven't felt this good in quite a long time.

Feeling secure was a luxury I couldn't allow myself in this world, especially while I was in this school.

Until now, my friends and I were constantly ridiculed in this place by our fellow students.

But now was the time when I'd pay them back tenfold for what they did to us if they ever attack us in any way again.

I was sure that I was a high tier now. I could feel auras without activating my ability.

And while I was nowhere near as strong as canon John in Welston. I could most likely wipe the floor with anyone in this high school.

I was the only high-tier after all. Even elite tiers were scarce, with there being only one or two.

Zirian, the current king of New Boston High, was one of them.

*bump*

Someone bumped into me.

"Watch where you're going, you cripple," I heard.

My blood was boiling, the nerve of this f**cker to say that after bumping into me was commendable.

Especially since he was in the wrong.

He still thought I was cripple.

But was now it was time to give this imbecile a taste of his own medicine.

I punched him in the gut hard, to provoke him into using his ability.

And it worked smoothly, the fool didn't know what was coming.

His ability seemed to be a speed enhancement type. I could work with that.

"You got some nerve, you little shit, but you're gonna regret punching me" he yelled.

He tried to get behind me, probably to get a few punches in, but I couldn't let him do that.

So after switching on my ability, surprising everyone in the corridor, I speed-blitzed him, a byproduct of me enhancing my copied version of his ability, punching his abdomen once more.

I then hit his solar plexus, and finished by brutally punching him a few times in the face,

Getting up, I faced everyone with the darkest glare I could muster.

"Next time someone starts funny business with me, Adrion or Claire, he or she is dead. Y'all got that," I declared.

Without waiting for approval or confirmation I delivered one last kick to that no-name's face (John vs Zeke style) and left to go to class.

Tomorrow, I should challenge Zirian for the king title.

This will allow me to train as John did by using turf wars.

It will also allow me to make a change to the system, I feel bad for all the low-tiers and weak mid-tiers that are victims of the hierarchy of this society.

The least I can do is provide a safe area in this school for them. Since I empathize with them as a former low-tier myself.

I should discuss this with Adrion and Claire, to share our points of view and opinions on what should be done to optimize the experience.

(A few hours later)

"Hey Claire, do you think I should become king?" I asked her.

"Honestly John, it depends on why you want to be king. Do you have any specific reason?" she inquired back.

"Well aside from the obvious reasons of protecting you and Adrion, I wanted to make a place where the weaker students could be safe from harm and, of course, I want to participate in turf wars to augment my proficiency with my capacity," I reasoned with her

"Ok, then go for it, just please don't forget your objective since we're reliant on you," She requested

"No problem," I accepted her favour since we were friends.

The following day, I immediately sought after Zirian for a rank match.

There was a problem though, the school was massive and I had no way of knowing where he was on my own.

So I started asking the students nearby if they knew where he was.

It was a good thing that rumours of me having an ability and using it to casually beat a rather strong mid-tier made it so that I was unopposed when I asked these questions and it caused those I questioned to answer quickly.

Unfortunately, nobody I asked knew where he was.

Or at least until an elite-tier told me that he was probably on the roof.

I banged my head on the wall for not remembering, since the roofs were commonly used by the royals.

I felt stupid for forgetting such an important fact.

Well, let's go to the roof.

While on my way there, I recalled all of the little details I still remembered. Zirian was a rather weak elite tier who had an ability that allowed him to create crescent-shaped projectiles.

I forgot his exact level and appearance though.

But that shouldn't matter, right?
