Ch. 9
Chapter 9: Fairy, As Long As You Obediently Behave
Rain fell, and with it, heads fell.
Two heads, still wearing mocking smiles as if watching a good show, instantly thudded onto the ground.
The damp soil smeared across their eyes, and then they rolled with a clatter to the feet of Elder Zhen.
They were from the Blood Demon Palace.
Elder Zhen’s expression changed in an instant.
Then, he quickly wrapped himself in a mist of blood and desperately fled outward.
“Bitch!!!”
A gust of wind blew by, dropping something from midair.
Elder Zhen’s shrill cry soon echoed between heaven and earth.
Looking closely—
It was Elder Zhen’s severed arm.
“Running so fast, hmph!”
A stern, unquestionable female voice spoke coldly.
She was dressed in white with her face veiled, a carved jade flute hanging from her waist, a whisk in her hand, and a pure white lotus embroidered on the hem of her robe.
Lu Changyuan asked: “Who might you be?”
“Mistress Han Yi of Jade Palace.”
It was actually True Person Han Yi from Jade Palace.
Sixth Realm!?
No wonder Elder Zhen had fled so quickly.
So Jade Palace’s reinforcements had arrived.
Fighting would be impossible—running was the only option.
By reason,
Lu Changyuan should have felt relieved.
Yet his expression grew heavier.
Qiu Yuehan had sent out two distress signals—one to Xia Lianxue, who was nearby and thus arrived quickly, and the other back to the Palace.
Calculating it, the message had to enter the Palace, then the Palace would dispatch someone, and only then could reinforcements arrive.
That would take at least ten days.
But this True Person Han Yi had come far too quickly.
Lu Changyuan raised his voice: “Has True Person Han Yi come to rescue Jade Palace’s two Fairies?”
True Person Han Yi lifted her hand, and behind her rose an even greater moonlight, as though the heavenly moon had descended upon the earth, illuminating the vast abyss.
She ignored Lu Changyuan and instead gave a cold snort: “Xia Lianxue! You actually conspired with the Blood Demon Palace to harm members of your own Palace?!”
Xia Lianxue’s mind was in utter chaos, unable to give any response.
True Person Han Yi gave her whisk a powerful flick, and Xia Lianxue was sent flying, smashing through several trees as thick as a person’s waist.
That impact immediately let the Desire Demon seize Xia Lianxue’s mind.
Midair, she raised her sword and charged at True Person Han Yi.
True Person Han Yi seemed extremely shocked, frowning: “You dare strike back at me?! I see now—you have already been overtaken by the Desire Demon!”
The whisk billowed in the wind, its long threads blocking all of Xia Lianxue’s sword strikes.
Then, like spider silk, they wrapped her tightly.
“Disrespectful to elders, colluding with the demonic path, harming your fellow sisters—Xia Lianxue, there is no need to wait for the Palace’s judgment. Here and now, I expel you from the Palace.”
The whisk’s hairs, like countless needles, pierced into Xia Lianxue’s body.
Her white robe quickly stained red, and her anguished screams resounded across the entire mountain, filling the listeners’ hearts with sorrow.
Under this binding that nearly shattered her meridians, Xia Lianxue regained a shred of reason and cried out miserably: “True Person… I did not!”
She could feel it.
She could feel the cultivation she had painstakingly built over more than ten years slipping away.
True Person Han Yi was crippling her cultivation!
“No!!!”
The Fairy’s heartrending cries echoed again and again, like a lotus torn apart by the rain, its pink petals falling away piece by piece.
True Person Han Yi said nothing, only increasing the pressure of her whisk.
In her painful struggle, Xia Lianxue’s veil finally fell away.
It revealed a gentle, beautiful face—one that looked like the familiar, girl-next-door childhood companion.
Lu Changyuan stared for a moment, finding her truly familiar.
So he sighed: “That’s enough, True Person Han Yi, was it?”
True Person Han Yi finally turned her head toward Lu Changyuan: “And who are you?”
Lu Changyuan shook his head: “Release her. You have already crippled the cultivation she suffered to obtain—do you truly mean to kill her?”
“Such righteous scum, what harm is there in killing them, especially since this is a matter within my Palace.”
The implication was clear: this was Jade Palace’s family affair.
Lu Changyuan originally had no right to intervene.
But having no right was one thing.
He still wanted to butt in—what could they do to him for that?
Lu Changyuan bent, picked up the sword Xia Lianxue had dropped, and weighed it in his hand.
The sword looked light but was actually somewhat heavy.
Lu Changyuan lifted the sword and pointed it at True Person Han Yi: “Feather Moon Immortal Palace has always been disgusting. If you get your advantage and still keep up your public morality, then today I’ll clean house for Feng Xianlong.”
Only some old monsters would call out the name Feng Xianlong.
Because Feng Xianlong was the master of the current Palace Mistress, and had already disappeared years before the upheaval—according to the current cultivation world, it had been centuries.
True Person Han Yi had also only learned the name of the previous Palace Mistress when True Person Hanshui recalled the past.
True Person Han Yi froze.
It wasn’t that Lu Changyuan’s words had intimidated her—the cultivation world never paid much heed to mere talk.
What she feared was the cold gleam on the sword Lu Changyuan held so casually.
If she failed to dodge—
She would die.
Lu Changyuan had not entered the Immortal Dao, but he still had one sword left—the final strike that cost him abandoning the Supreme Pure-Spirit Forget-Immortal Technique.
He said coldly, “I said, put her down! Can’t you hear me? If you can’t hear, I have another way to make you hear.”
True Person Han Yi stared at Lu Changyuan for a long while, then slowly set down the blood-soaked, barely breathing Xia Lianxue and frowned: “Who exactly are you?”
In the end she was afraid—afraid of a mortal’s sword.
Lu Changyuan did not answer True Person Han Yi.
Characters suddenly appeared in his eyes.
【The relic in Jade Palace used to repair a body missing five parts is the Drunken Red Luan, a wondrous thing born of heaven and earth within the last hundred years; it has not yet been unsealed.】
【Xia Lianxue is the key to unsealing the Drunken Red Luan.】
Why the hell didn’t you say that earlier!? You even hinted that Xia Lianxue had long wanted to kill Qiu Yuehan—so you meant for me to approach Xia Lianxue through Qiu Yuehan?
If I hadn’t softened for a moment just now because she looked familiar, I wouldn’t have missed getting the Drunken Red Luan.
Lu Changyuan was too lazy to care about True Person Han Yi’s questions.
He picked up the unconscious Qiu Yuehan, and with no trace, tapped Qiu Yuehan’s shoulder once with his left hand.
There was no way to go to Jade Palace today; he could only ask Qiu Yuehan to keep an eye on this so-called Drunken Red Luan.
Now that Xia Lianxue was gone from Jade Palace, her position would surely rise swiftly—finding a treasure within the Palace would also be convenient.
True Person Han Yi waved her whisk, and Qiu Yuehan floated to her side: “You still haven’t answered me—who are you?”
“That’s not important. What’s important is that you can leave now, unless you want to fight me here and see who can walk out of this forest alive.”
Lu Changyuan’s eyes were like knives, cutting into True Person Han Yi painfully, as if every filthy arrangement she had made had been seen through by the man before her.
She hesitated—whether to desperately try to cut Lu Changyuan down here.
After a long time,
She snorted coldly, took Qiu Yuehan, and turned into a streak of light; she was gone without a trace.
Lu Changyuan watched the streak dissolve completely into the rain before he stepped over to Xia Lianxue’s side.
The Fairy’s face was pale and stained by the Desire Demon.
When she still had cultivation, Xia Lianxue had not been able to fully suppress the Desire Demon; now that her cultivation was gone, she would soon enter the Desire Demon’s next stage, no longer human-shaped, becoming a true monster.
True Person Han Yi had not forcibly killed Xia Lianxue because she was certain Xia Lianxue would not survive.
Lu Changyuan lifted Xia Lianxue into his arms, wiped the blood from the Fairy’s cheek with his hand: “Poor thing, being plotted against like this. I could save you—though I don’t know… how you’ll repay me.”
The usually cool, elegant Fairy was now bloodied and miserable, yet that did not hide a certain alluring grace—especially the fall from high position, which aroused a desire to dominate.
She looked even more helpless than Qiu Yuehan had at the time.
“Do you want to live?”
The Fairy’s mouth was stained with blood.
Her thin lips moved; she could barely speak, but one could still faintly hear the word want.
Lu Changyuan smiled, tore open Xia Lianxue’s white garment, looked at her tender skin, circulated his heart method, then measured the Fairy’s smooth body inch by inch with his hands.
After a while.
Lu Changyuan said joyfully, “Found it.”
Then he shoved his hand violently into the Fairy’s belly.
“Remember to repay me, Fairy Lianxue.”
