NOVEL NEXT Chapter 51: Chapter 50: Fake Seal
"Why are they there?" Kakashi asked seriously, as he knew that his daughter, or more accurately, Haruto's daughter, was in the slums, specifically in the Southern District.
"Because that place is probably the safest, and unlikely to be searched by the authorities," Reynold answered, raising his eyebrows.
"Is that so? Hm..." Kakashi pondered with a complicated expression, before looking at Kakuzu, who was staring at him.
"Alright, thank you for the information. Ah! Extend your hand." Kakashi said it with a smile.
"For what?" Reynold asked, confused.
"Extend it..." Kakashi said firmly, causing Reynold to reluctantly extend his hand.
Then, Kakashi used chakra, adding the Fire Element, to his index finger before writing something on Reynold's palm, causing Reynold to frown.
"Done!" Kakashi said with a smile, looking at the Japanese writing he had made, which meant "Seal."
"I have placed a kind of curse on you. If you try something strange, like planning to kill me, the seal will activate, and you will die."
"Of course, if you don't actually carry it out, you won't die, at most, you'll feel something strange in your body." Kakashi lied with a calm face.
Although there was some truth to it, such as the strange feeling, a few times a week, Reynold would feel something strange inside him, like his heart beating fast for no reason.
This was caused by the chakra Kakashi had inserted into Reynold's body, which was dangerous for Reynold if he had chakra.
Because if someone has chakra and feels someone else's chakra entering their body, they can get injured or even die.
However, this did not apply to ordinary people without chakra, like Reynold. This was not a real Curse Seal or any other sealing jutsu.
It was just a prank Kakashi played to prevent Reynold from doing something reckless like trying to find out more about Obito, Kakashi, and Kakuzu, which could potentially lead to Haruto.
"Now it's your turn." Kakashi said this after his deceptive plan succeeded. After seeing Reynold's frightened expression, Kakashi immediately shifted his gaze to Arin.
"... Will I die?" Arin asked expressionlessly.
"Hm... If you plan to kill Obito again, or kill me and Kakuzu, then yes, you will die." Kakashi answered honestly. It might sound cold and immoral, especially towards a woman.
But Kakashi, or more accurately, Haruto, knew that in a cruel world where you can be killed with just one mistake, you have to be prepared to be emotionless and immoral.
After seeing no resistance from Arin, Kakashi then started his second deception.
After seeing the seal, Kakashi looked at Reynold and Arin.
"Good job! Now you can go on with your lives as usual! Ah! I hope you don't try anything to remove this seal, like cutting your hands or burning your hands to erase the seal, because it's pointless."
"This seal is in your hearts. If you try something, you will feel your heart beating rapidly until it explodes and kills you instantly, unless you replace your heart with another, hahaha! Replacing it with another, that's funny..." Kakashi said it with his characteristic smile.
"Well then, we bid farewell! Until we meet again!" Kakashi said this before disappearing with Kakuzu.
Leaving Reynold and Arin, as well as a group of people lying unconscious in various places.
"I messed up... This time I really messed up..." Reynold muttered with a desperate face.
