" POISONED", Kiara screamed.

Nine pairs of eyes were staring him in shock.

" NURSE", he ordered. " We don't have time to waste. " Its Black Mamba Poison. Lethal. Destroys nervous system. Quick get a tub. I have antidote here".

" She was delirious ", Grace was scared.

" Hold her", said Ro.

He immediately injected the antidote.

" The poison kills in minutes. But the levels in her body were low".

" Was the poison injected or dermal", asked Kiara.

" Through food", replied Ro. " Raj keep on feeding water".

" If the poison kills in minutes it was not in food", concluded Solly " But dessert".

He called security

" I need samples of dessert from main source, royal table and list of waiters who served them.

Suddenly Kenny vomitted.

" Ro do something ", cried Raj.

" Its fine Raj. Poison is coming out", he said.

Raj wiped her face with water.

Kiara was in deep thought. Suddenly she snatched Solly's mobile and screamed

" Samples of ice cream that fell. That's what we need. The one that was going to prince Rajeev's table. And arrest that waiter."

" Why that icecream Kiara", asked Solly.

." She does not like ice cream. She refused it", Kiara replied. " When the ice cream fell over her she ingested it by mistake, or through smoke".

" Hence the low levels", said Grace.

" So she was not the target", said Myra. " IT WAS YOU", she pointed to Raj.

" Yes its possible", pondered Raj. He was in deep thought.

At that time Solly's cell rang.

" Yes..ohhh dead..no..still bring them. The tapes I want them. Yeah get him detained I will be available for grilling. Over and out".

He cut the call.

Everyone was looking at him.

" Who died", Shai's voice was weak.

Her face was covered in tears. He itched to take her in his arms, kiss her pink nose and tell her everything is fine. But Shai belonged to someone else not him. It was as painful as probably that Mamba snake bite but he steeled himself.

" Just a cat", he said.

To Kiara he said," He is getting the samples but it was poisoned for sure. A stray cat licked the ice cream and died. The waiter is arrested. Good job. Join me to grill the waiter."

" Sure", replied Kiara.

" So the saint saves the scorpion again", came an insolent voice.

IT WAS MYRA.

She was staring at Raj angrily.

" Myra listen", Parry started.

" NO HE SHOULD LISTEN AND SEE", she hissed pointing to Raj.

" She saves him again and again. And He...

" Ms. Kapoor", said Ro

" What Dr. Khurana", said Grace. " She is right Kenny is always battling death around him. He almost killed her when they met".

" I Love her", he said it as a whisper just to reassure himself but Kiara heard it.

" Then sacrifice your love for her Raj. Please", she said. " You are fatal to her. She can't sleep or eat or even smile around you. These physical injuries", she pointed to the burn and sprain," Are nothing compared to what you subject her mentally to. Let her go. As her sister I beg you", she said. Then she started crying.

" Kenny no", he held her feet again tightly bowed his head on them. " Sorry, sorry, sorry", he mutttered.

" Please don't bully him girls. He is already a defeated man", said Maddy.

" You shut your damn mouth or I will hit you again", said Kiara.

Maddy looked at her pensively.

" Ohh no", said Parry.

" With that sword", he said.

" WHAT SWORD", barked Kiara.

" The one you used to save the temple girl", he replied.

" HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND"?

" He did", replied Solly. " One fist of yours was enough. Now he will think twice to mess with security people. Proud of you kiddo".

Kiara smirked.

" Raj", said Ro." Get up and get changed", he said gently.

" I..no", he hugged Kenny tightly.

" Won't leave her until he kills her", said Myra.

And the vision of Ginjan's death came right in front of his eyes.

" NOOOO GUNJAN", screamed Raj." Don't die. Please don't...I can't I.. I..", his breath became heavy as his nose bled.

" Damn Myra shut up or I'll hit you", said Parry. He pulled her violently out of the room.

Raj holding his love coiled to foetal position. His body was shivering.

" Raj, Raj", she lives", said Ro.

He kept Raj's finger on Kenny's nostrils.

" She breathes. Her body is warm. Her heart beats. Okay."

Raj touched Kenny. He listened the heart beat too.

" Living", he said his face covered in tears.

" Yeah", said Ro.

" Mine", he said holding her hand tight as he collapsed and passed out.

The girls were horrified.

Parry came back with a subdued Myra.

" He is not perfect", said Solly. " Never did he receive any love. This what you saw is just a mild psycological reaction when love is taken away from him. Kenny is his lifeline".

" I told you he will die if he doesn't get her", said Parry to Myra. " See for yourself".

" We'll change him if you girls wait outside".

An hour later

" Kenny", Raj was awake.

" Near you", said Ro.

Rahj held her hand again. At that moment beautiful green eyes fluttered open spreading bright light in his world.

" The smoke , the fire", she said.

" Kenny its fine", he said.

" Raj, Raj", she hugged him. " Are you okay. You are not hurt. Are you"?

She was crying.

Raj wailed holding her in his arms.

" Thank you Shiva. Thank you".

" Are you alright", she asked again.

He took her face in his hands and kissed her forehead and said,

" How can anything happen to me my Angel"?

Tears were flowing from his eyes like ocean coming out.

" You won't let anything happen to me. You saved me in mountains , saved me from myself and saved me again today. You are a saviour. My Angel".

He kissed her again

" And what do I hand you. This", he pointed to sprain. " And this", he pointed to burn. And ribs and your headache. And poison. " He hugged her.

" Poison", Kenny was confused.

" Someone tried to poison him. The ice cream that fell over you had poison", said Kiara.

" Raj", Kenny shivered.

But he couldn't listen

" Your sister is right", he said. " I subject you to mental tension. Rahul is right in calling me a remorseless b*st*rd.".

" Ohh Raj", sobbed Kenny.

" Ms Kapoor dressed me perfectly my angel. I am the satan around whom life fades away. Grace is right too I ..your life is in danger since you met me. I...I kill".

His eyes were lost.

" Raj look at me", she said.

" They all are right", he said weakly , "I don't deserve you."

" Raj", she cried feeling his pain as she hugged him.

After some time he said,

" If I would be a better man I will sacrifice my love. As you did my angel for your people. I would let you go. But I can't. This Satan will never let you go".

He held her hand tightly.

" Raj I don't want.."

She was trying to say she did not want him to feel so remorseful.

BUT HE WAS FILLED WITH SELF DERISION.

" You don't want me and that is fine. Nobody wants to die. Or suffer as you have", he said.

" Raj you are not my death", she said holding his face.

" I shall never force you Kenny but give me a chance to repent. I shall wait. Wait for centuries. Only for you. My body will perish . But my soul will belong to you", he said

" Raj don't speak such bad omens", she said.

" The fires, the pain, the hurt that I subjected you to May Shiva return them to me tenfold. I will take everything happily. But you keep smiling my love. Live", he said.

"Raj I..I..", Kenny sobbed.

" I'll penace. And one day after many lifetimes you will forgive me and love me again. Like in those magical mountains where our love blossomed. FOR THAT FOREVER KENNY I SHALL WAIT".

She smooched him.

He was baffled

" I love you satan", she said. " That forever has arrived".

" I think we should give them privacy and leave", smiled Parry.

But Grace suddenly said

" THAT DAMN BOTTLES OF POISON:.

They were to prepare antidotes".

Ro glared at Raj now.

" Go ahead", he sighed.

" We were poisoned the day we arrived", said Solly.

" WHAT", said the girls.

" I identified the symptoms and we took antidotes", said Ro.

" Before we came here we knew our lives are in danger", said Maddy.

" Why", asked Kiara.

" Because someone doesn't want Raj to be king",said Parry.

" Kamini", asked Kenny.

" Could be", he replied.

There was a silence. Thek Kenny said

" Goodnight everyone. Please leave. Tomorrow we all meet in office. No late comers".

" Yes Madam", saluted Parry. As they were leaving she held Raj's hand.

" Stay my satan", she smiled.

Like a pup he sat at her feet again.

Rest of them came out.

" If he had one h'd be wagging his tail" , said Solly to Parry.

" Never in ages I could believe he would fall so hard in love", shrugged Parry.

" Happens", sighed Solly looking at Shai.

She was continuously cutting call on her cell.

" Pick the damn call", said Myra.

" Its mom", sighed Shai. " I don't have the stamina to fight her now".

It rang again.

Kiara snatched her cell

" Hello aunty. Yaa its Kiara. No she is awake. She just want you to stop pestering her. She is done with her engagement and Caleb. Its over. She broke it. We are tired and going to sleep. Have a good night".

Then she cut the call.

" Brutal as ever", said Maddy. " Sword will suit you". She glared.

" You broke the engagement with him", Solly said as he gaped at her like a fool.
