In Game of thrones with Sci fi Military system

Chapter 4: Silence

Chapter 4: Shadows in the Night

The room was quiet, save for the soft breathing of Daenerys as she lay curled in her sleeping bag. She hadn't stirred since finishing her meal, her body completely relaxed, the effects of the sleeping pills Alex had slipped into her food ensuring she stayed out cold.

Alex glanced at her, a pang of guilt gnawing at him. "Sorry, but I can't have you running off or getting caught in the crossfire," he muttered under his breath.

Turning his attention to the translucent System interface hovering in front of him, Alex browsed through the marketplace.

Credits Available: 320

Available Upgrade: Drone Cloaking Protocol (200 credits)

"Perfect," Alex whispered, selecting the upgrade.

The interface confirmed his purchase, and a glowing card materialized in his hand. The card disintegrated into shimmering particles, which then merged with the compact drone he had received as part of the novice pack. The device emitted a faint hum, its metal surface shifting as the upgrade took effect.

Upgrade Complete. Features Added: Stealth Cloaking, Enhanced Surveillance Range, and Host Alert Integration.

"Nice," Alex said, watching as the drone hovered silently into the air. With a faint shimmer, it vanished from sight, its cloaking protocol activating.

Drone Status: Active

Mode: Perimeter Surveillance

Alex tapped the earpiece connected to the System, ensuring the audio feed was live. "Let me know if anything moves out there," he said.

The System's voice responded, emotionless as ever. Acknowledged. Host will be alerted to any detected movement within a 500-meter radius.

Satisfied, Alex leaned back against the wall, his rifle resting beside him and his 9mm pistol holstered at his side. For now, all he could do was wait.

Hours passed, the stillness of the night broken only by the occasional distant sound of water lapping against the canals. Alex's woke up from the sudden sound.

Suddenly, the drone's voice crackled softly in his earpiece.

Alert: Movement detected. Five individuals approaching from the west. Estimated time to arrival: Three minutes.

Alex's body tensed, his mind racing. "Here we go," he muttered, quickly pulling up the System marketplace.

Silencer Attachment (9mm Pistol) – 50 credits

He selected the item, and within seconds, a sleek silencer appeared in his hands. Attaching it to the barrel of his pistol, he tested the fit, nodding in satisfaction as the mechanism clicked into place.

Current Credits: 70

Alex moved quietly to the window, peeking through the gaps in the boarded-up slats. In the dim moonlight, he saw five figures moving cautiously toward the house, their weapons drawn.

"Illyrio's men," Alex whispered. "Of course he wouldn't just let me walk away."

The drone's voice spoke again. Intruders within 50 meters. Host tactical options enabled.

Alex slipped into the shadows, positioning himself near the entrance. He gripped the pistol tightly, his breathing steadying as he focused.

The first man reached the door, his hand on the hilt of a curved blade. As he pushed the door open, Alex moved with practiced precision, pressing the pistol's silenced barrel to the man's temple and pulling the trigger. The soft pfft of the shot was barely audible, and the man crumpled silently to the ground.

One down.

The others noticed their companion's absence and began to move more cautiously. Alex stayed hidden, his enhanced hearing picking up their whispers.

"Where is he?" one of them muttered.

"Fan out," another ordered.

The second man entered the house, his footsteps careful but not careful enough. Alex dropped him with another precise shot, his body slumping against the wall.

The remaining three were now on high alert, their movements frantic. Alex's drone fed him their positions through his earpiece, giving him the edge.

"Left window," the drone alerted, and Alex shifted his position just in time to see one of the men trying to peer through the slats.

Alex aimed and fired through the gap, the silenced shot taking the man down before he could react.

The last two men hesitated, clearly reconsidering their approach. Alex took advantage of their indecision, stepping out into the open.

"Drop your weapons," he said coldly, the pistol trained on them. "Now."

The men froze, their faces pale in the moonlight. One of them made the mistake of lunging forward, and Alex put him down with a single shot.

The last man dropped his weapon and raised his hands, his voice shaking. "Please... don't kill me."

Alex approached him slowly, the pistol still raised. "Tell your master," he said, his voice like steel, "to stay out of my way. Next time, I won't leave anyone alive."

The man nodded frantically and bolted into the night as Alex lowered his weapon.

Once the area was clear, Alex checked on Daenerys, who remained sound asleep, oblivious to the chaos. He sighed in relief, reloading his pistol and setting it aside.

Mission Update: Threat Neutralized. Host performance optimal.

"Yeah," Alex muttered, sinking against the wall. "For now."
