Immortality Through Array Formations

Chapter 900: Dream Omen (Part 3)

Yu Er obediently nodded, "Okay, Brother Mo."

Mo Hua smiled and turned to leave, but Yu Er suddenly grabbed his sleeve, "Brother Mo..."

Mo Hua turned back, his expression gentle, "What is it? Are you still having nightmares?"

Yu Er gently shook his head, but his expression still showed some lingering fear.

Mo Hua then patted his head, "It's alright, I'll stay with you for a while. You can sleep peacefully."

"Mm." Yu Er gave a slight nod.

Then Yu Er closed his eyes.

His little face was delicate and handsome, looking like a gentle and cute little lamb with his eyes closed.

But before long, Yu Er opened his eyes again, the clarity in them like a fawn's, filled with intense unease.

Mo Hua was taken aback and asked, "What's wrong?"

Yu Er hesitated and asked, "Brother Mo, will anything happen to you?"

Mo Hua was a bit confused, "What do you mean?"

Yu Er said, "I mean... will you encounter danger?"

Mo Hua felt a bit puzzled but still said, "Everyone encounters danger in their lifetime. I've faced many dangers, but I've managed to overcome them. So, it's nothing to worry too much about."

"Mm." Yu Er nodded.

Mo Hua glanced at Yu Er and softly asked, "Yu Er, do you have something on your mind?"

Yu Er's face turned pale, biting his lip tightly, and after a moment, he slowly said:

"Brother Mo, am I... a Divine Fetus?"

Mo Hua's pupils contracted sharply, a slight chill rising in his heart, but he still managed to speak gently:

"Who told you that?"

Yu Er shook his head, "No one told me, I... heard it in a dream..."

"A dream?"

"Mm," Yu Er said, "that day at the Gu family, Uncle Gu suddenly became very scary, his eyes were black and red, and just a glance at me, I started having nightmares."

"After you, Brother Mo, came, I got better... but later, on and off, I still had some nightmares."

"In the dreams, there seemed to be many mountains, many demons, bloody..."

"It seemed, there were also people talking..."

"They said something about awakening, something about a rabbit crying, something about one mountain, one river, one person..."

"They also mentioned many people would die... blood flowing into the river, bones forming tall buildings, human flesh building cities, all linking together..."

"They also said, all this was because of me..."

"Because of me, everyone would die, everyone must die..."

Yu Er's face grew whiter, his body trembling slightly, seemingly immersed in deep guilt and fear, tears slipping from the corners of his eyes.

Mo Hua, feeling a twinge of heartache, smiled and patted Yu Er's head:

"It's just a dream, often dreams are the opposite of reality. Everyone will live well, there's no need to worry."

Yu Er, tears in his eyes, nodded.

Mo Hua pondered for a moment, then said, "Yu Er, do you know about evil spirits and demon monsters?"

Yu Er shook his head, then nodded, "Are those what I saw in the dreams?"

"Mm." Mo Hua nodded, "Evil spirits and demon monsters are best at enchanting the human heart, taking advantage of when you're afraid, worried, or not steadfast, to lie and deceive you."

"The words of evil spirits are all lies."

"The more you fear them, the more they'll bully you. If you're strong-minded, they won't dare to deceive you."

"And..." Mo Hua's slender eyebrows slightly raised, "All the evil spirits and demon monsters in this world are no more than feeble chickens and dogs before your Brother Mo. I need only one sword to cut them all down."

"Next time they try to deceive you, just tell me, and I will make sure to slaughter them cleanly!"

Mo Hua's voice carried a gentle killing intent.

Yu Er's eyes gradually brightened, feeling much reassured, he smiled at Mo Hua and nodded.

"Alright, have a good sleep, when your spirit is strong, evil thoughts won't bother you." Mo Hua said.

Yu Er obediently nodded, then slowly closed his eyes.

Mo Hua stood guard beside him until Yu Er was soundly asleep, then he left with peace of mind.

After Mo Hua left, Yu Er continued to sleep peacefully.

But only a moment later, in his sleep, Yu Er's brow slowly furrowed.

Near his ear, a sinister and sharp voice sounded:

"He's lying to you..."

"He's just a mere Foundation Establishment, how many Evil Spirits can he slay?"

"The Demon Monsters are endless, one day sooner or later, he too will be completely devoured by the Evil... drained of blood, flesh eaten up, even his bones will be gnawed away..."

"And all of this, is because of you."

"He wants to save you, but he doesn't know..."

That terrible voice seemed to echo right by Yu Er's ear, permeating into his mind, "... you are the biggest Demon Monster."

In the dream, Yu Er looked terrified, "I'm not..."

"You are!"

That sinister voice seemed to seep into his heart, "You shouldn't be living in the first place, as long as you live, your mother, your Uncle Gu, your Brother Mo, will all have to die..."

"The more you tell them, the faster they die."

"They will die by your hands..."

Yu Er curled up his body, tears soaking the blanket, murmuring softly:

"I don't want mother to die, I don't want Brother Mo to die, I..."

...

Inside the Disciple's Residence.

Mo Hua thought about Yu Er's matter, his gaze heavy, muttering to himself:

"That's strange..."

"No trace of Evil Spirit, no bad Karma, no Evil God parasite... why is Yu Er having nightmares? Even able to hear mumblings?"

"Could it be... the Evil God is about to wake up?"

"Also, what do the things Yu Er said actually mean?"

"What does it mean when the rabbit cried? What is a mountain, a water, and a person?"

"The blood will flow into the river, bones will be piled into high buildings, human flesh will build cities..."

"Could these be some kind of prophecy?"

Mo Hua felt an inexplicable sense of urgency in his heart.

He only vaguely knew the outline of the Evil God's plan, but as for what this scheme really was, he knew very little...

Now it seems, the entire plan for the Evil God's revival might be more bloody, more cruel, and on a larger scale than he initially thought.

As to the point where... everyone will die?

After that, Mo Hua tried to find more clues, but there was simply no way to start.

The blood oath list had been erased by him, and the Foundation Establishment Sin Cultivators under the Evil God were all eliminated from the Divine Soul level.

Now, the only one remaining is the "Young Lord."

But the Young Lord hides in the shadows, leaving no trace.

He couldn't investigate the Golden Core Demon Cultivators there.

Elsewhere, there were no effective leads either...

Calculated back and forth, Mo Hua still couldn't do anything, he could only calm down, focus on Cultivation, and continue practicing the sword...

After more than a month, Gu Changhuai's injuries have also healed a lot.

He is a Golden Core with a strong foundation, the Gu family is considered a great family, not lacking Pills or spiritual materials, and after taking meticulous care for over a month, his injuries have mostly recovered.

It's just that his Divine Sense is still depleted, occasionally feeling dizzy and in pain, and residual pain remains in his meridians, preventing him from exerting full strength.

Normally, with his condition, he should be resting at home.

But Gu Changhuai is stubborn and a "workaholic," as soon as he could move, he went straight to take up his position at the Taoist Court.

Mo Hua was somewhat worried.

Last time, Uncle Gu was just lucky.

But next time?

If there's another next time, he might really lose his life...

A Taoist Court Department of Ceremonies who is in plain sight and injured, how could he possibly guard against a dozen Golden Core Demon Cultivators in the shadows...

But worry was of no use.

The time continued to pass little by little.

Mo Hua's realm was still stuck, and Divine Thought into sword was still being practiced.

The Evil God's plan should still be advancing in secret.

The Taoist Court was still eradicating the Demon Sect, Uncle Gu was still shrouded in deadly storms, and Yu Er wasn't as happy as before...

Mo Hua only felt that the situation was slowly getting out of his control, and he was somewhat helpless.

Until one day, Cheng Mo sent him a token.
