immortal in magic world

C1 endless continent.

When i woke up i was already in another world.

In this world humans were one of weaker races.

I lived in a small village that was part of a small kingdom.

Kingdom's name is Rohn.

Rohn is divided into ten provinces with about 6 cities each.

The village i am in is about 15km from the nearest city, the city of Hog.

Village itself didn't have any name.

After about a week of living here i more or less adjusted to the living conditions.

My name is Andre and in my past life I was a computer science major.

I'm about 143cm, brown hair, gray eyes, pale skin, thin build.

Yes i am short.

Before transmigration I was 46 years old.

After transmigration i'm 20.

My parents in this life are dead but they left me a big inheritance.

It contains a large amount of gold and set of knight's breath.

Knight's breath is a extraordinary system of this world.

From what I've read in the book of knight's breath the realms of knight system are:

- knight apprentice.

This life is very relaxing.

On afternoon break Andre read more of the book.

Knight's breath is a breathing technique meant to introduce ether into the body and gradually fill it with energy.

After each session of Knight's breath it is recommended to preform attached exercises for best effects.

Andre is very lazy, he does only the things he likes and disregard the rest.

So in his outburst of laziness he decided to ignore the exercise part and only do breath.

After making the decision Andre started to breath in and out letting the ether enter him, but although the ether did settle in his body it was only a very very small part of it.

After two hours of breathing Andre felt like he was on fire and had to stop.

While laying on the floor Andre made sure to feel the situation in his body.

Because of lacking experience Andre could only feel small part of his body near the heart.

But he could still feel some particles.

It felt a little fuzzy but overall very comfortable.

In following months Andre took care of his land and breathed daily.

When the winter came Andre could finally feel some changes in his body.

Like something in his body broke and he achieved a higher level.

Andre became a knight's apprentice.

After becoming the apprentice Andre could feel his progress became much slower and introducing ether into his body was noticeably harder.

His body although still short and thin because of his lacking exercise was much stronger, almost at the level of village bully.

Andre focused on the breath throughout the winter and returned to his normal life in the spring.

This cycle repeated for 10 years.

In the last 10 years my realm rose from knight's apprentice to the peak of it.

I really don't know what happened but I feel like something is missing from me.

It is like something ethereal is telling me to go and find it.

In the book it says that if one wants to become quasi knight he needs the blessing of battle to hone his will.

I will see what i can do.

About three months later a recruiter from royal city came to the village and said that all men below 30 will be going to war as militia.

I will go to war for the country I don't know and people i don't have feelings for.

But i will go regardless.

I really want to find what is missing.

After arriving in the garrison of the army Andre started to learn spear fighting from the soldiers.

Andre liked spear a lot and learned intently.

Although he did not have much talent he was still noticed by knight who was in command of the camp and given a lead position similar to squad commander.

Andre had 5 people under his command and had to train them.

His results were mediocre but stable and soon he had 10 squads under his command.

Soon after came his first battle.

When directing his men to the battle Andre used tactics he learned from the history of earth and dominated the battlefield.

His first battle was a big success and in view of his excellent command ability he was rewarded the position of honorary knight commander.

This new position came with new burdens.

From now on he had to command 1000 people legion and this included 100 quasi knights and 3 true knights.

But that is nothing compared with his workload.

After that he and his legion participated in many battles of this war and finally in one of the biggest battles of the war he broke through the quasi knight.

Andre could feel the particles in his body becoming more concentrated and inhaling ether became harder and harder.

But after becoming a quasi knight he could finally get the true position of knight commander.

War continued for a year until the siege of capital city.

In that siege Andre used his knowledge to break down the enemy defenses and enter the city with his legion.

After killing the king and winning the war Andre was called by the king himself to grant him a title.

King looked at Andre and announced.

(I Augustus the third of this name grant you the title of baron and name of Pierce. From now on you are Andre Pierce the baron of Rohn kingdom and ruler of castle d rock.)

Castle d rock was small province next to the sea.

Andre conquered it by himself.

It's name came from its biggest city being built on the rocky cliffs near the sea.

After the ceremony ended Andre returned to the village briefly to collect his things and set of for his new domain.

When he arrived in his domain and became its lord Andre started his reforms.

First with his remaining money he purchased some merchant ships and started the trade with other sea ports.

Second he started to rebuild the city but now with his own ideas.

Like sewers and greenery.

The city was divided into two parts.

Trade area with taverns, hotels, red districts, ship yards, dock and garrison.

And residential area that contains lower and middle classes as well as rich nobles and then castle.

The whole project took another 10 years in which Andre had wife and two daughters.

Andre loves his daughters and wife but is very aware that he needs a son or all his efforts will be confiscated after his death.

Also in those 10 years Andre became very aware that he is different than the rest of people.

That is because he does not age at all.

After this relegation he started to hide his face behind a mask and avoided the public.

Residents of his territory were aware of this change and accepted their withdrawn lord.

In that year another war began and Andre again assumed his position as knight commander but this time he was leading 3 legions.

He was in command of 1/4 kingdom's army.

Battle after battle he lead the army, victory after victory.

With 80 percent win rate he was best commander in Rohn kingdom and after this war ended he was elevated to viscount.

After this war he was widely known across the kingdom and his land also expanded, now he had 4 cities and a lot of villages.

2 years later he finally had a son and named him Hector.

In next 18 years Andre participated in three wars winning each one and gradually becoming highest knight commander.

His words in the kingdom carried the same weight as Duke.

In light of this fact he was promoted to Marquis becoming one of 18 highest nobles in the kingdom but he declared that he didn't want his territory to expand.

In the same year he became a full knight.

Becoming a knight is the same as becoming quasi knight, it is all about concentration of energy in the body.

After becoming a knight energy in Andre's body became very concerned turning into something similar to mist.

The same year Hector became a quasi knight and became a commander in the army.

Andre taught him all he knew about strategy and tactics.

Hector quickly became a very good commander, only thing he lacked was experience in war.

He did not have to wait long because another war started two years later.

In that war it became very apparent that Hector took after his father.

With 70 percent win rate he dominated other commanders and advanced his position in the army.

At the age of 20 Hector married daughter of Duke and had a son.

Andre looked at his grandson and smiled.

That day Andre the 2nd was born.

About 7 years later Andre's wife passed away in sleep from what looked like internal bleeding.

Andre was devastated.

In the war next year he took down two kingdoms and several free cities.

After that war Andre finally retired and the same year Rohn became an empire.

The now Rohn empire credited him with being the reason for their growth and Pierce became 3rd Duke family.

Hector took over the position of grand knight commander of the army and became the head of the family, Duke Pierce.

Andre retreated behind the scenes and began to teach the tactics to his blood descendants.

7 years later Andre 'died' at the age of 79.

Andre II also became a commander in the army, at 15 he won his first battle.

15 years later Andre II took over the grand army commander position after the death of his father.

Under the guidance of Andre, Andre II built a light cavalry legion similar to Polish hussars and dominated the battlefield for another 20 years.

In the 42nd year of the empire Andre finally broke through the barrier and became grand knight.

The only difference was again the energy concentration.

The energy in his body became like a liquid.

Now he could extend the energy in his body and make his spear sharper but he lacked the control over that energy.

Time continues and it was now year 100th of the empire.

Andre IVth graduated from imperial college and returned home.

At the age of 16 he will continue the family tradition and join the army.

He really didn't like this idea but he will not disappoint his father Hector IInd.

Although he did not have much talent in command his father still laid all his confidence on him and trained him to the best of his abilities.

Hector II is a grand knight with accomplishment in war.

Not long after returning from his studies Andre IV was called into his father's office.

His father told him that from now on he will be taught by someone else and to follow him into the basement.

When entering the deepest room in the basement Andre IV noticed man in robe and iron mask.

Hector II introduced him as Andre I the founder of family.

Next Andre taught his descendant and made him into a qualified commander and Duke.

Next 30 years were more of the same at least until last piece of land was conquered and the whole world belonged to Rohn.

Andre stood on the edge of the world and looked beyond.

There was nothing more.

Andre looked under his feet and looked closely.

He noticed that land was always expanding.

Sometimes slower sometimes quicker.

He estimated that this world is expanding by 100m to 3000m meters a year.

And this growth is gradually becoming faster.

Andre returned to his land and started fortifying.

10 years later his whole land was covered in fortress and bastions all villages had at least small fort and stone wall.

All the nobles noticed his movements but chose to collectively ignore them.

100 years later the whole empire started to crumble and tension grew.

In those 100 years Andre built his whole territory into an impenetrable fortress and even built several sea fortresses on surrounding islands.

His navy was the biggest and most advanced in the empire.

His territory was the richest in the empire and even emperor did not dare to encroach on his property.

With invention of black power and cannons Andre build a fleet of ironclad ships.

Each fortress was equipped with enough cannons and ammunition to level a city.

This year first rebellion started in the empire.

Duke Pierce remained neutral.

Next 10 years were full of war and blood.

Empire collapsed and Duke Pierce announced the creation of fortress kingdom.

Although fortress kingdom was way too small to be a kingdom no one said a thing out of respect and fear.

10th year of fortress kingdom.

This year August began to feel that his body is full and he can't gather any more ether.

Than a magical change began to take place in his body.

All his liquid ether began to gather in one place next to his heart.

It began to gather into a bead the size of a marble.

After all the ether gathered and solidified, change took place in his body.

His muscles began to gradually become more perfect and full solidifying his frail look, his skin became pure and clean and bones became more solid.

Andre became the best version of himself.

Andre started to move around and testing his strength.

His strength rose significantly, now he can destroy boulders with his fingers only.

He can also move energy out of his body as much as he wants and let it keep its shape.

For example he can make the energy into the shape of blade and use it like a sword.

Only limitation being that energy can't be separated from the body.

Andre named this new realm "earth knight" because he felt one with surroundings.

Andre started to create breakthrough techniques for his descendants so they can guard this land for generations to come.

First person to breakthrough was new king and first female king.

King Anastasia II.

2nd because there was a female family head before also named Anastasia.

Bordering countries thought that female king meant the end of fortress kingdom and attacked foolishly.

They got destroyed and world finally knew that there was new realm of knight.

Earth knight can live 300 years.

Kingdoms and empires in the world tried to copy but there was nothing to copy.

It was all internally digested.

90 years later in 100th year of fortress kingdom.

There are 86 earth knights and this number is growing because there are a lot of great knights stuck in the realm.

Finally this year one of family members betrayed and sold copy of earth knight exercise and very basic breakthrough methods.

Although it was very crude version, it was complete and theoretically it was possible for talented people to become earth knights.

It took another 30 years for first foreign earth knight to appear.

From then on earth knight became new class of super nobles around the world.

If your family or kingdom had an earth knight than congratulations you are a new member to ruling class.

In the last 30 years Andre discovered something weird in his mind a type of energy transformed from ether.

Andre decided to name it mind energy (mana).

Mind energy was different from ether condensed in the body.

It could be controlled and separated from the body.

But natural transformation of ether into mana took a long time.

It could be accelerated but it will decrease purity of mana itself.

Purer the mana easier it is to control and shape.

After experimenting with mana for a while Andre finally created first meditation method for his family.

Andre spent the next 88 years thinking of ways to use this energy.

Finally in the 218 year of fortress kingdom.

Andre created first spell rune.

Rune of fire.

After forming this rune with mana and injecting more mana it will produce flame on top of the rune.

Forming two mana stabilization circles with fire rune in the centers will create a ball of fire on top of the rune.

And so the first spell was created.

Fireball.

And Andre became the first wizard.

Andre Pierce the first wizard.

From then on this world became, Wizarding world.

Andre started to search for other spell runes.

In the next 100 years with the help of Pierce family Andre found 13 runes and 3 realms of wizard.

Runes are fire, water, earth, air, stability, solidification, enhancement, expansion, contraction, light, heat, expulsion, attraction, time.

Time spell rune was Andre's personal invention and it is least complete out of all of them.

For now it consumes ridiculous amounts of energy and its effects are mediocre at best.

It can control time flow of the object.

It can stop object's time or accelerate it Infinitely.

The only caveat being it's stability.

One moment time stands still and another it accelerates.

Andre also discovered way of solidifying spell runes on objects.

Engraving them on pure crystals filled with ether can solidify rune for as long as ether is not consumed.

Another 100 years.

In those past 100 years Andre and his family created first ether gathering array.

As long as ether exists in the air it can exist forever and all over produced ether will solidify into crystals.

One of Pierce family geniuses discovered space rune.

It can expand, contract, stabilize, destabilize, building and destroy space.

Time rune became more stable and is barely usable now.

Another 100 years.

Year 518 of fortress kingdom.

Earth knights became somewhat popular and each kingdom has at least one often more.

In last 100 years Andre and family discovered element particles and created element gathering pond.

Using ether as guide it gathers element particles in pure ether pond and concentrates it until an element crystals are formed.

Using this technology with ether gathering array and stability, space, time runes Andre created time stabilization coffin.

It is used to let the best geniuses of the family wait for better times so they can reach higher plane of existence.

This year Andre also created another realm of knight.

The sky knight.

Using the seed of ether you need to create circuit similar to construction of nerve system and let your whole body separate yourself from the world around you.

In this way you can fly freely in the sky and everywhere you step on is solid ground no matter sky or earth.

This realm is true transcendent realm.

When you become a sky knight you can live for 1000 years.

But it is technically the end of knight's path because only theoretically higher realm is if you change into ether itself.

This realm is strictly prohibited to spread outwards and will be kept in Pierce family for the foreseeable future.

In that year alone Pierce family welcomed 20 sky knight powerhouses.

Next 80 years had their ups and downs.

In the first 20 rumor of supposed higher knight realm surfaced.

In the second 20 the rumors were confirmed by the action of one of the sky knights.

In the third 20 Andre finally discovered what is stopping him from advancing to the next wizard realm.

Forth 20 was full of experiments and preparations.

And finally in 698th year of fortress kingdom.

Andre engraved time rune in his sea of consciousness and his mana gained time attribute.

His mana sea expanded rapidly until it reached 10x size and it was clearly not its full potential.

If he had mp, his mp before breakthrough was 3000 and after 30000 with potential of 100000.

But filling it with mana will take thousands of years.

That year Pierce family welcomed 10, level 1 true wizards.

But Andre noticed the hostility of the whole continent placed on fortress kingdom.

And decided to build first wizard tower on remote island.

Island was small and built of rock.

It was about 1km long and 500m wide about the shape of half moon.

Tower was designed to be 100m wide and 1500m tall.

Although technology will not let this dream to exist magic can.

It will use stabilization and solidification rune arrays on the outside and space expansion, stabilization on the inside.

It will be divided into 15 floors, each 500m radius and 100m high.

There will also be 3 basement floors the same size.

Whole tower will be built out of pure black granite.

Now onto floor utility.

F -3 ether pool.

F -2 element pond.

F -1 time coffin.

F 1 to 3 residential.

F 4 library.

F 5 and 6 laboratory.

F 7 array experiment floor.

F 8 element experiment floor.

F 9 recreation floor (gardens)

F 10 plant farm.

F 11 animal farm.

F 12 control room.

F 13 time experiment floor.

F 14 space experiment floor.

F 15 Andre's private laboratory.

Roof is flat (weather control orb).

Systems of the tower include.

Unreachable.

(space is completely stable.)

Weather orb.

(Can control weather in 100km radius centered on the tower.)

Passive defense.

(Waters around the island are full of cyclones and ether in the air is thin.)

Active defense.

(Generates ether shield and shots mind destabilizing waves which can interrupt casting.)

Death ray

(Uses energy stored in weather orb and shots ray of pure concentrated energy.)

It took another 100 years for construction of the tower.

Construction of the tower consumed almost all of kingdom's funds and resources.

But the first day of winter finally tower was constructed in secret.

All labor was killed to keep the secret and practically overnight Andre and Pierce family moved into their new home.

All that was left is.

Meditation method and fireball spell engraved on every surface of the kingdom.
