I’m the Owner of the Pokémon Day Care In the World of Pokémon

Chapter 1362: One's Success Lifts All Around Them

"Florges, are you alright?"

Seeing the green pillar of light disappear, Yuga immediately ran over and grabbed Florges's hand, his face full of concern.

At that moment, he felt a subtle connection with Florges. As she gave him a gentle smile, he instantly understood that she was fine.

"Malamar~"

Suddenly, Yuga's ears were filled with the unpleasant laughter of the three Malamar. They stared at Florges with wild, crazed expressions.

Noticing their gaze, Florges grew particularly angry. With a swift motion, several Vine Whips lashed out, striking the Malamar and making them cry out in pain.

Having just ascended to Legendary Pokémon, Florges was still unable to fully control her newfound immense power, and she was showing no mercy to the Malamar.

Although Vine Whip was merely a basic move, wielded by the newly transformed Florges, its destructive power was incomparable. Coupled with the fact that the Malamar had been under the seals of Nana and Mewtwo, their strength had not grown a bit during their time in the Ecopark. As a result, the Vine Whips almost took their lives.

Florges was truly furious. If she hadn't arrived in time, the one tricked into the experiment would have been Floette. Although the experiment had succeeded now, what if it had failed?

If Floette had been the test subject instead, failure would have been inevitable. Its frail body would never have withstood such an overwhelming influx of energy. The only possible outcome would have been Floette's body bursting apart under the strain!

Floette's level was too low; even with an abundance of life energy, it would have been impossible for it to undergo the necessary life transformation to ascend to godhood.

What makes a Legendary Pokémon powerful is not just their Legendary Aura, but their fundamentally different level of existence compared to ordinary Pokémon.

Despite the Malamar's cries under Florges's assault, their grins did not fade. They had just witnessed the birth of a Legendary Pokémon—dying for that was worth it.

Off to the side, Floette was no longer afraid. It clenched its tiny fists and cheered Florges on, wishing it could punch the Malamar itself!

"That's enough, Florges. There's no need to be angry with them," Yuga said, feeling deceived by the Malamar's apparent diligence all this time. He couldn't believe he had let them cause such a mess. The consequences of a failed experiment were too terrifying to imagine.

"Florges~"

Hearing Yuga's words, Florges snorted coldly and retracted her vines. Yuga then added, "Mewtwo, finish them off."

The best way to deal with the Malamar was to send their souls to the Ghost World.

Given the crimes they had committed in the past, they should have been executed long ago. But Yuga had shown a sliver of mercy. Now, he realized they could not be spared any longer.

"Understood."

Mewtwo used Psycho Cut, condensing a powerful psychic force into a sharp spike, which it drove straight into the Malamar's heads. Their maniacal laughter was cut off instantly.

Mewtwo, too, felt guilt-ridden. If it had supervised them better, today's incident wouldn't have happened. Yuga had entrusted it with the task of monitoring the Malamar.

Yuga had provided Mewtwo with food, shelter, and anything it ever needed. Even its companions were under Yuga's care. Yet, it had failed to manage such a small task properly.

Seeing that the Malamar were lifeless, Yuga said, "Find a place to bury them."

Although they had committed terrible deeds, their contributions to YoYo Day Care could not be ignored. Yuga did not want to dispose of their bodies carelessly.

Finally, Yuga and Mewtwo took the bodies of the three Malamar to Resurrection Island, choosing a picturesque spot filled with birdsong and fragrant flowers to lay them to rest.

Silently gazing at the Malamar's tombstone, Mewtwo finally whispered to Yuga after a long while, "I'm sorry, I didn't keep an eye on them."

Mewtwo's nature was still kind, and the Malamar's deaths weighed on its conscience.

Yuga patted Mewtwo's shoulder and said, "It's not your fault. Malamar are inherently cunning. If they had planned this carefully, you wouldn't have been able to stop them."

There's a saying that thieves can plot daily, but guarding against them every day is impossible. Even if Mewtwo had been watching, it wouldn't have made a difference against their calculated scheming.

After handling the Malamar situation, Yuga finally took a moment to seriously assess the changes in his special abilities. Just as he was heading back to the Island Ecopark, he saw an Aggron returning from a fight, injured. He waved to it.

The Aggron, seeing Yuga calling it over, panicked, thinking it had done something wrong. It hesitated for a moment but eventually shuffled over.

"Injured? Come here, I'll heal you!" Yuga said with a big smile as the Aggron approached, surprising it.

Yuga activated the energy within his body, releasing a healing energy mass several times larger than what he usually could produce, enveloping Aggron.

"Aggron~ Aggron~"

Under the soothing energy, Aggron couldn't help but moan aloud, and its sounds gradually became... peculiar.

To an outsider, it might have seemed like Yuga was doing something highly inappropriate to Aggron!

Mewtwo, standing nearby, covered its face in embarrassment: Ugh... how improper!

The healing was so effective that Aggron felt an indescribable bliss, almost like it was floating on air.

"Aggron~ Aggron~"

It was about to ascend to heaven!

Aggron's voice changed pitch several times in just a few seconds, leaving Yuga utterly embarrassed.

By the time the treatment ended, Aggron's injuries were completely healed. The healing effects were on par with Mr. Kuni'o's abilities, if not better.

Seeing this, Yuga was overjoyed—he had truly leveled up!

Right, he needed to check on Florges!

If his abilities had improved this much, Florges must have become even more powerful! He had been too preoccupied dealing with the Malamar to carefully observe her transformation. He could tell she had grown stronger, but he didn't know the exact extent yet.

With this in mind, Yuga sprinted away, leaving Mewtwo behind.

Mewtwo glanced around. Since it was its first time on Resurrection Island, it decided to take a look around and explore.

Meanwhile, Florges had already returned to the Flower Sea Sub-Ecopark with Floette. All the Grass-type Pokémon in the Sub-Ecopark had gathered around her, paying homage to their newly ascended Legendary Pokémon.

Florges held a special status in the Flower Sea Sub-Ecopark. Due to her innate abilities, the Flower Sea Sub-Ecopark had essentially become her domain, and all Grass-type Pokémon naturally submitted to her rule.

As Yuga entered the Flower Sea Sub-Ecopark, he was met with the sight of Grass-type Pokémon bowing reverently to Florges. Closest to her were the Pokémon from his second team.

In the boundless sea of flowers, Florges stood at the very center, as if all the light of time had converged upon her—sacred and beautiful...

"Florges~"

When Yuga arrived, Florges waved her arms, and the Grass-type Pokémon naturally retreated.

As Yuga walked closer, he realized that the Grass-type Pokémon in his second team had undergone an earth-shattering transformation.

The most noticeable changes were in Bellossom and Breloom; their potential had directly upgraded from blue to indigo. Although their potential auras weren't as bright, they had indeed undergone a qualitative change.

Next was Torterra. The sacred tree on its back seemed to have been fully developed.

The lush tree was firmly rooted in Torterra's back, its canopy covered with pink and white flowers that swayed gently in perfect rhythm with Torterra's breathing.

Most importantly, with each sway, the sacred tree would draw a bit of the earth's power through Torterra's body, nourishing both itself and Torterra.

This energy was very similar to the Geovena Stone Yuga had given to Palossand. Though not as pure and powerful as the Geovena Stone, the sacred tree's energy was sustainable and continuous.

The sacred tree originated from the Ground-type Legendary Pokémon Landorus and had also absorbed energy from the Tier 1 Legendary Pokémon Groudon. So, its unique abilities were not surprising.

With the continuous nourishment from the earth's power, Torterra's shell had become thicker, and its overall demeanor had grown more composed.

Another significant change was Torterra's level, which had jumped several levels, reaching 79—just one step away from becoming a Champion level Pokémon.

With the sacred tree, it was only a matter of time before Torterra reached the Champion level.

Among all the Pokémon, only Torterra's level had increased significantly. Thanks to the blessings from two Ground-type Legendary Pokémon, its accumulation was incomparable to the others.

Although these blessings weren't enough to elevate Torterra's potential to purple, they were sufficient to boost its level.

Other Pokémon such as Venusaur, Roserade, Sawsbuck, and Serperior hadn't gained as much as Bellossom, Breloom, or Torterra, but their potential auras had also brightened significantly.

In Yuga's Insight skill, the dazzling indigo potential rings nearly blinded him.

Particularly Venusaur and Roserade, both of which had flowers blooming on their bodies, seemed to have received special attention from Florges. Their internal changes were complemented by noticeable external enhancements.

The massive flower on Venusaur's back had become even more vibrant, almost entirely crimson, as if stained with blood, and emitted a faint fragrance.

The brighter the flower, the more dangerous it was—either highly toxic or carnivorous.

The same applied to Roserade.

Yuga's Roserade was a shiny Pokémon. Normally, Roserade's bouquet would consist of one red and one blue-purple flower, but Yuga's Roserade had two bright red flowers.

This was due to its Poison-type talent being enhanced. Now, with the power borrowed from Florges, it had undergone a secondary enhancement, truly becoming a thorny rose!

Florges had single-handedly exemplified the saying, "When one person attains enlightenment, all those around them ascend as well!"

"Congratulations, everyone! It looks like you've all gained quite a lot. Be sure to thank Florges properly!"

The Pokémon nodded one after another, their eyes filled with gratitude as they looked at Florges. She had always taken good care of them, and now she had given them such tremendous help—it could truly be said that she was like a "second parent" to them.

However, when they looked at Yuga, their expressions turned a bit strange. Why did Yuga's face look so "fresh" now, as if it could be pinched and water would come out?

Did you secretly go and get some skincare treatments behind our backs?

"By the way, Florges, do you want to test your current strength?" Yuga didn't notice the Pokémon's strange expressions and continued to ask Florges.

"Florges~"

Florges nodded eagerly. Her strength had increased so drastically that she didn't feel real at all. She also wanted to see just how far her current strength had reached.

"Alright, who wants to go call Nana over?" Yuga looked at the other Pokémon and asked.

Ordinary Pokémon were definitely not qualified to be Florges's opponents now. To properly gauge her full strength, they needed Nana, or perhaps Ninetales or Aegislash.

Aegislash was a homebody who rarely left the Haunted House Sub-Ecopark, and Ninetales, with its fur still patchy, was even less willing to come out and move around. So Nana was the only option.

Fortunately, Nana's strength had recently surged due to the white stone, and she also needed an opponent to train with.

At that moment, Sawsbuck stepped forward and rubbed against Yuga's arm, indicating that it was fast and could go.

"Alright, go and come back quickly." Yuga patted Sawsbuck's head.

With a leap, Sawsbuck disappeared into the sea of flowers in the blink of an eye.

A few minutes later, Nana arrived gracefully, sitting sideways on Sawsbuck's back. Her graceful figure, set against the backdrop of the flower fields, would have been like a painting—if only one could ignore the fact that she was actually a male Gardevoir.

Once Sawsbuck approached, Nana gracefully dismounted from its back.

"Are we going to battle? Where?"

Just after asking, Nana suddenly noticed Yuga's face and looked astonished. "What happened to your face?"

"Hmm?" Yuga instinctively touched his face, feeling an incredibly smooth texture under his fingertips. "What's going on?" This... this skin... why does it feel so irresistibly smooth?

As soon as he finished speaking, he realized what had happened and fell into silence: So I'm just a pretty boy now? Even becoming more handsome has its troubles!

Seeing Yuga not responding, Nana didn't press further. In Nana's eyes, this minor change was nothing; what intrigued her more was the transformation in Florges.

No wonder they called me for a battle! What happened to Florges?

Nana was unaware of what had happened in the Haunted House Sub-Ecopark. Now, looking at the greatly changed Florges, she was full of curiosity.

"Where exactly are we going to battle?" Nana asked again.

"Florges~ Florges~"

Let's go to the desert!

Florges was unwilling to fight here; her flower field couldn't handle such "stimuli."

"But if we go to the desert, wouldn't the terrain be unfavorable to you?" Yuga frowned, still somewhat absorbed in his self-admiration.

He wanted to see Florgess full abilities, and if the terrain couldn't fully showcase her strength, then what was the point?

"Florges..."

Let's give it a try!

Florges was silent for a few seconds before responding. After her transformation, she had new ideas and wanted to test them out.

"Alright then."

Yuga nodded in agreement. Going to the desert was fine; this way, no matter how much they messed around, they wouldn't have to worry about damaging the environment.
