Title: Is the Undead Difficulty Really That Hard?

No one has cleared it yet, is that for real?

ㄴ For real, it’s like ten times harder than Lunatic.

ㄴ Wow! You know about Sans difficulty! Let me explain for those who don’t know! Sans difficulty is actually freaking hard.

ㄴ Reply, are you dead or something, you crazy loser?

ㄴ Haven’t tried it yet?

ㄴ Yeah, I’m thinking about giving it a shot now.

ㄴ Dude, don’t cross that river!

ㄴ Don’t say it’s hard, it’s gonna stress me out!
“Don’t do everything, or I’ll get fired up!”

“Still can’t even clear the seventh level of The Seven Lairs? That’s the difficulty speaking!”

“Honestly, Soul class doesn’t even stand a chance!”

“Is that really all it’s worth?”

“It’s a difficulty that turns Soul class into mere trash.”

“I thought it was just a fuss, but at this point, even I’m getting nervous.”

“Probably, Plaud won’t be able to clear it either?”

“Of course! The reason he hasn’t even tried once? He’s a total coward!”

“……”

“Uh?”

“Why are you suddenly acting up?”

“Wait, are you serious?”

“Plaud’s mom?”

“There are no words you can’t say online.”

Plaud wouldn’t handle this. This was my trigger button.

Who am I, not as a human, but as ‘Plaud’ from the 72 dungeons?

30,000 hours of playtime. Speedrunning champion of the 72 dungeons. I’m the first user to clear Lunatic difficulty!

“So there’s no way I can’t clear it?”

That’s just ridiculous.
I’ve been so busy with work lately that gaming has taken a backseat. Maybe that’s why the other players think I’ve become a relic of the past.

It’s not that I couldn’t do it; it’s just that I didn’t. If I’d actually tried, by now the 72 Dungeon forum would be overflowing with my fan posts.

Just wait, I’ll show and prove it!

I turned off my phone and tossed it onto the bed.

At most, it’ll take a week. No, I’ll clear it in four days.

Stretching my stiff body, I sat down in front of the computer.

My fingers danced over the keyboard and mouse like a pianist on speed.

[Character Enoch has died.]

[Ending 72 Dungeon strategy log.]

[Welcome to the 72 Dungeon strategy log.]

[You have selected ‘Lv. 44 Enoch.’]

At first glance, it seems I’ve died, but I’m doing this on purpose.
It might look the same, but I’m doing this on purpose.

The infamous Undead difficulty isn’t actually the official difficulty. To be precise, it’s an Easter egg.

A character at level 44 dies consecutively 44 times, and if you swiftly log back in 44 times right after dying, the Easter egg activates.

For newbies, it’s not just tedious but can actually hurt your wrist from the high repetition, but for me, it was as easy as breathing.

After the 44th death, the character transforms into an Undead, not just a simple appearance change; stats and other details alter too.

The difficulty comes largely from the hostility of the human NPCs. Many said if you want to experience a five-star GTA level of chaos, you should try the Undead difficulty.

“Alright, got it.”

After dying 44 times, my character was now a corpse.

Once a human, Enoch has now happily evolved into a full-fledged Death Knight.

“Looks like I’ll finally have some fun.”

I should wrap this up and post proof in the community.

Suddenly, the light from the monitor flashed brightly, and that was the last thought I had.
