Chapter 6: Accidental Occurrence
Standing in front of the station in Jubilife City, Rope scratched his head in embarrassment, and then said to Cynthia, who was accompanying him, "Actually, I can go by myself, I don't need to trouble you to give me a ride."
Cynthia smiled lightly and said: "You don't have to be polite, for one thing, I do have to go to Eterna City, for another, Grandma asked me to give you a ride, besides, it's not troublesome."
Rope nodded his head in embarrassment. His hand also unconsciously tightened its grip on the luggage lever, he really didn't want to trouble Cynthia. After all, if Cynthia wanted to join him, they would have to ride in the car, because Rope didn't have a Flying type Pokémon, no, he didn't have a Pokémon, but he could use the Flame-Flame Fruit technique he developed to move quickly. Cynthia had a Flying type Pokémon, but Garchomp weren't suited for long distance flying, and the Pokémon was too small to carry two people on its back. So the two of them had to go by car.
For what it's worth, Cynthia thought that when Rope said that there were no Pokémon, she meant that there were no Flying type Pokémon - after all, who in this world has a Pokémon?
Unfortunately, Rope still doesn't fully recognize himself as a Pokémon. So the no Pokémon he talks about is no Pokémon at all...
But Rope also had a hard time developing Flame-Flame Fruit. He realized that he had reached the end of his Flame-Flame Fruit development...
The problem was that he still couldn't use a powerful move like Ace's 'Entei' in the anime. Right now, he's very good at staying alive, but not good enough at output. He didn't know what was wrong. He can only blame it on the fact that there's a big problem with the crossing's after-sales service, but unfortunately, he can't give it a bad review...
Rope and Cynthia are chatting away. On the other hand, Elite Four was in a state of emergency.
"What the hell is going on in Alamos Town?!" Lucian said with a furrowed brow and a very unhappy expression.
They had just received a communication from Alamos Town, but halfway through the communication, it inexplicably hung up, and they couldn't get through no matter how hard they tried. When they asked the trainers of the neighboring towns to check, they found that the entire Alamos Town was covered in a thick fog. Strangely enough, they couldn't get into Alamos Town no matter how far they traveled through the fog, so they made a quick decision to report it to Elite Four.
"Cynthia should be in Jubilife City right now, contact her, I'm worried that Darkrai, who was reported earlier, is out of control." Bertha said with a serious look on her face. This is not a small matter, the Darkrai known as the God of Nightmare is definitely not something that ordinary people can handle, and the closest person to Alamos Town is Cynthia who is in Jubilife City.
Aaron and Flint looked at each other, nodded to each other, and then Aaron said to Lucian: "Lucian, you coordinate here, Flint and I will rush over there, and you hurry to talk to Cynthia, if she can't solve the problem alone then delay for a little while, and wait for Flint and I to rush over there and then say."
Lucian nodded, lives were at stake and there was no time to think of anything else.
Aaron and Flint walked out the door together, although these two guys do not have any Pokémon on hand that can fly very fast, but in terms of maneuverability than the ground-based Bertha is not a half a star. In Cynthia's absence, Lucian was the best coordinator, so they were the only ones who could go.
Bertha didn't think too much and said: "I'm going to arrange the appropriate aftermath and accident management. Be prepared for the worst."
Lucian nodded and dialed Cynthia's number, and Bertha headed out the door without looking back to make her own arrangements.
Cynthia, who was chatting with Rope, finally got the call she'd been dreaming of yesterday. Unfortunately, it was too late.
While thinking, 'How nice it would have been if this call had come last night', she picked up the phone with a serious look on her face and said, "What's up Lucian?"
Rope stopped talking as he saw her get into the swing of things and just watched in silence, then in the back of his mind he was a little glad. This way he could go by himself, less trouble, after all, if Cynthia was around whether it was Flame-Flame Fruit or no Pokémon, after she found out there would be a lot of questioning.
But as Cynthia's face became more and more ugly, he sensed something was wrong. In the Sinnoh region of the parallel world where Team Galactic had been wiped out, there was nothing but Legendary Pokémon that warranted such seriousness from the mighty champion.
"Okay, I know, I'll be right over to Alamos Town."
Cynthia hung up the phone with a serious look on her face after saying this, then bowed apologetically towards Rope and said, "Sorry, Rope, there's some situation in Alamos Town that I need to handle. I won't be able to accompany you to Eterna City."
After saying that, he took out his Pokémon Ball and prepared to leave.
Rope, who had just been shocked by the name 'Alamos Town', hurriedly said, "Wait!"
Cynthia looked back at him with a bit of displeasure, she had a good impression of Rope before, he was dull but reliable. Every second was precious now, and she didn't have time to waste with Rope.
Just as she was about to speak, she heard Rope say, "I may know what this is all about, so please do take me with you."
Cynthia looked at Rope's serious face, and a thousand thoughts flashed through her mind for a split second, before she said, "Then you and I will tug on Pokekiss's foot together."
Rope shook his head, then opened his suitcase in front of Cynthia's puzzled eyes and took out a Pokémon ball from one of the compartments. Then released an imposing Charizard.
"I thought you didn't have a riding Pokémon?" Cynthia looked at the Charizard that rubbed Rope's head affectionately and wondered.
Rope smiled bitterly and touched Charizard's neck, saying, "This is that Blue guy's Charizard, I knew he'd give me a ride."
He then patted the Charizard on the back. The Charizard bent down obediently.Rope rolled over and sat up and held out his hand toward Cynthia and said, "Together, trust me, as long as it's what I envisioned, then this should work out."
Cynthia looked at the young man on Charizard's back in the sunlight, and before she had a chance to say anything, she subconsciously reached out her hand, and was yanked violently onto Charizard's back.
"Charizard, take off!"
Charizard took off into the air, and at Rope's direction, headed northeast.
"Do you know where Alamos Town is?" Cynthia asked as she watched Charizard just take off.
Rope nodded, signaling that he knew.
Of course he did, he'd scraped the name Alamos Town out of his childhood memories. It was the name of a place that appeared in the Pokémon theater version, which featured Palkia and Dialga. That's why he cares so much about this town.
Geez, are parallel worlds so unreasonable that Ash has to wait a few months before he can start his official trip, and the plot of this theater version featuring Ash has already begun?
He's really fucked up...
Now he could only pray that this incident hadn't progressed to the point where he'd be dragged into the space-time gap. Otherwise, he didn't know if Alamos Town was a problem, but he would have missed a chance to meet the two gods of space and time without much effort.
As he thought about it, he glanced back at Cynthia, wondering for a moment if he should bring Cynthia into this. The plot is ahead of schedule, who can guarantee that this incident will be resolved perfectly?
If she's dragged into the space-time gap and can't appease the wrath of the two gods before disappearing...
All is lost.
Cynthia noticed that Rope was looking at her with a strange look in her eyes, and said seriously, "Don't think about leaving me behind, this is my job!"
Rope looked back helplessly, no longer looking at this intelligent woman.
You know what I'm talking about before I even say it....
But Cynthia did have a point, this was her job, and Rope wasn't in a position to stop her.
Feeling the sound of the wind in her ears, and the forest flying away below, Rope could only pray that this incident would not be out of control, or else her death would not be a big deal, but it would be hard for others to get involved.
Charizard carried the two of them towards the direction of Alamos Town.
They were headed for an uncertain future.
To make amends.
