I’m Pregnant with My Friend’s Child

Chapter 1.3 - I had sex with my friend (R19)

The unfamiliar intensity in Woo-jae’s gaze startled Yi-jin, prompting her to stand abruptly. Her body swayed, the lingering effects of the alcohol catching up with her. She had thought the incident in the parking lot had sobered her up, but the wine she’d shared with Do-jun was stronger than she’d anticipated. The moment she realized her sister wasn’t home, the buzz returned with full force.

Stumbling toward the fridge, Yi-jin grabbed a cold can of beer and downed it in large gulps. She wiped her lips with the back of her hand before plopping back down on the couch.

As soon as she sat, the room seemed to spin. Normally, a single can of beer wouldn’t faze her, but the combination of the wine she’d had, and the nerve-wracking thought of possibly spending the night with Do-jun, had led her to drink far more than usual.

“Come here. Let’s blow out the candles.”

“Cha Woo-jae, you’re unbelievable.”

Glaring at him, Yi-jin pulled out her phone. Annoyed by her sister’s failure to show up after inviting Woo-jae, she dialed Hajin’s number. After several rings, her sister’s voice finally came through.

“Hey, Yi-jin.”

“Where are you?”

“Me? At home.”

“At home? Aren’t you coming here?”

“Why would I go there?”

“Then why did you invite Woo-jae over?”

“Woo-jae? What are you talking about?”

“Never mind. I’m hanging up.”

Yi-jin ended the call and glared at Woo-jae. Not only was there no surprise party, but it seemed her sister had completely forgotten that her birthday was tomorrow.

“What is going on? Explain yourself.”

“Come here and blow out the candles.”

Yi-jin, frustrated, threw a couch cushion at him. It hit him squarely in the chest, but it didn’t seem to faze his toned, muscular body, honed from years of working out.

“You scratched Do-jun’s car on purpose, didn’t you?”

Woo-jae didn’t reply, but the silence spoke volumes. It was obvious he had come out to interfere after hearing something from Sun-hwa.

His eyebrow twitched slightly, and that small reaction only made him more irritating to Yi-jin.

“What gives you the right, Cha Woo-jae? Why?”

“Are you going to blow out the candles or not?”

“You think I have time to blow out candles right now?”

“Fine. I’ll do it for you.”

As soon as Woo-jae blew out the candles, the room was plunged into darkness.

“Happy birthday, Seo Yi-jin,” he said, his voice low and unfamiliar in the dark. The deep, lazy tone sent a shiver down her spine.

“Forget the birthday wishes. I’m angry right now. Go home.”

“Oh, so you want me to leave so you can call that bastard Do-jun back?”

“What right do you have to interfere with my date?”

“I can’t let that happen.”

Before she could react, Woo-jae grabbed the back of her neck, pulling her close, his intense gaze locking onto hers.

“What… what are you doing?”

Her heart pounded in her chest at his unexpected move.

“What you were about to do with that bastard, Do-jun.”

“Are you out of your mi—”

She couldn’t finish her sentence before his lips crashed onto hers, his tongue forcing its way into her mouth.

This can’t be happening.

It wasn’t just that Woo-jae had kissed her—it was that his kiss was mind-blowingly sweet, which shocked her even more.

Cha Woo-jae’s kiss couldn’t possibly be this sweet.

No, it must be the alcohol. But even drunk, a kiss with Woo-jae, who was practically family, shouldn’t feel this electric.

“Mmm…”

But a moan escaped her lips without warning.

Noticing her reaction, Woo-jae deepened the kiss, his tongue exploring further, teasing her sensitive palate. And for some reason, an overwhelming sensation built between her legs.

Her heart wavered at the sheer intensity of her best friend’s unexpected display of dominance. This can’t just be the alcohol; the thrill was too strong, her heart pounding wildly.

She pushed him away, breaking the kiss, but the wild look in his eyes was impossible to escape.

“You’re making a mistake,” she said, wiping her lips with the back of her hand. Her mind was reeling, but her heavy breathing betrayed her excitement.

“You’re the one who made the mistake,” Woo-jae replied, licking his lips, his eyes dark and dangerous.

This expression—she’d never seen it on Cha Woo-jae before.

What’s happening to you, Woo-jae? I’m the one who’s drunk, but…

His large hand gently caressed her cheek. She should have brushed him off, but his touch was so intoxicating that she missed her chance.

Sure, being against marriage didn’t mean she was against dating. But she’d been so caught up with work and life that there was no time for relationships. Friends often teased her for her lack of interest in love, but it wasn’t something she had ever taken seriously—until now.

She had felt lonely as her birthday approached, the realization that her twenties were almost over weighing on her. She had thought about crossing a line with someone, maybe even Do-jun—but Woo-jae was never part of that plan!

“Why are you interfering in my personal life?” she demanded.

“Because I’m going to be part of your personal life.”

Yi-jin shook her head fiercely.

No matter how drunk she was, this wasn’t right.

She tried to push him away, but his chest was firm and unyielding, her hands pressing against his muscular frame with no effect.

The feel of his strong body under her hands made her breath hitch. Her heart raced uncontrollably, even as she tried to calm it.

“No. No. Please, just leave,” she pleaded.

“I heard from Sun-hwa. You told her you couldn’t sleep because you were lonely. That on your birthday, you’d sleep with anyone just to not be alone,” Woo-jae growled. “Damn it, why didn’t you say something sooner? I wouldn’t have let you feel lonely.”

“I didn’t say it like that.”

“Isn’t that what you meant?”

“N-no, I didn’t—”

Before she could protest further, Woo-jae captured her lips again, this time even more forcefully. His kiss was deeper, rougher, stealing her breath away.

Her heart pounded in her chest, racing as if it might burst.

It was so sweet that it felt like her very being was melting. Kissing Cha Woo-jae, of all people, was driving her crazy.

How could his wild, untamed kiss be so delicate and gentle?

As she surrendered to the sweetness of his lips, closing her eyes, Woo-jae lowered her onto the couch.

This is wrong, this is so wrong—but she was too drunk to fight it, and it felt unbearably good.

She never thought Woo-jae would take things this far.

It seemed that seeing Yi-jin about to kiss Do-jun had seriously provoked Woo-jae.

Their saliva mingled as it slid down their throats in gulps.

“Mmm…”

Embarrassingly, soft, lewd sounds kept escaping from between her lips. Woo-jae, as if responding to the sounds, pressed down on her even more forcefully.

Yi-jin tried to squirm away, but his heavy body pinned her down, making it impossible to move.

She knew he was good at a lot of things, but she never imagined he’d be this good at kissing too.

His lips caressed the sensitive spots inside her mouth, and the sensation made her thighs damp. Her eyes snapped open in shock. Locking eyes with Woo-jae’s intensely seductive gaze, her face flushed a deep red.

“W-Woo-jae…” she stammered, his tongue still inside her mouth.

But Woo-jae didn’t stop.

To make things worse, she could feel the hard pressure from his body against her lower belly, and her whole body began to tremble.

As he sucked on her tongue, Woo-jae slid down the strap of her dress. When her chest was left exposed, he finally pulled his lips away, frowning deeply.

“Yi-jin.”

“Mm…?”

“Damn. I can’t believe this. Were you really planning to wear such sexy underwear for Do-jun?”

Yi-jin froze, too stunned to say anything, as if she had turned to stone.
