NOVEL NEXT Chapter 6: Emperor vs Jinchuriki
Jason kicked off from the floor and front flipped towards Shanks. But before Jason could properly land Shanks appeared behind Jason with unimaginable speed and slashed towards Jason who sensed the sudden presence used one of his blades to block. The two clashed their swords against each other above the sky but in the end Jason was pushed back towards a boulder.
After brushing off the pain Jason without wasting a second quickly rolled to the side, as he barely dodged Shanks who ended up stabbing the ground. 'What the hell!? I knew he would be strong but this?' Jason thought as he looked at his right arm now holding a destroyed Chakra blade. 'It only took him one slash to destroy one of my chakra blade and I'm not sure if he even used haki.'
"Good reflexes" Shanks stated as Jason ducked below another slash and threw a chakra blade aimed towards Shanks forehead. Shanks without flinching easily caught the blade with his hand. Jason following right after went for a low kick but Shanks jumped back away from Jason before the attack hit
Jason noticing this quickly went after Shanks weaving through hand signs. "Water Style: Water Prison Jutsu!" A stream of water came out of Jason's mouth, which quickly surrounded Shanks. But before the water could even form to a prison, Shanks quickly swung his sword destroying the forming water prison with a sword slash.
"Longhorn Spear!" Jason continued on with his attack as two horns appeared on Jason's head; the two horns quickly extended towards Shanks with great speed. Shanks using Gryphon blocked the incoming horns without flinching. Jason noticing this retreated the horns.
"Observation haki?" Jason asked as he stood up straight
"No, I'm more surprised you know about haki in the first place." Shanks replied causing Jason to click his tongue. "But I think I should finish this soon." Shanks spoke seriously snapping the Chakra blade in his hand. Shanks suddenly rushed towards Jason with his blade now pitch black.
'Haki?' Jason panicked as he quickly covered the rest of his five chakra blade with chakra and attempted to block Shanks attack. Gryphon easily destroyed all five chakra blade and hit Jason on the chest sending him flying
Jason roughly landed on the ground laid down on the floor his mind in frenzy. 'What was that? How can the difference be so big? All seven chakra blade destroyed I probably can't use Acrobat again.' Shanks slowly made his way towards Jason. 'Should I surrender? No, there's no guarantee he'll let me go I'll have to go all out.' Jason slowly stood back up to his feet, surprising Shanks who stopped on his track
"Oh, you can still stand?" Shanks spoke generally surprised.
"I know I can't win" Jason spoke as his body started to be covered by red-orange chakra. "But that doesn't mean I won't go down without a fight." The chakra started taking form of 4 tails.
(A.N: I'm not sure if they were suppose to be tails or tentacles)
Shanks narrowed his eyes looking at Jason who with a burst of speed suddenly appeared infront of Shanks. Jason punched Shanks in the face forcing him to take few steps back. Jason not giving a moment for Shanks to recover, immediately continued on with multiple punches and kicks at Shanks who easily dodged or blocked the attacks. Jason realizing this jumped away from Shanks creating distance between the two.
"Not bad" Shanks spoke as cleared off the dust on his cloak.
[Overall Strength: Commodore -> Low Vice Admiral (Temporary)]
'So my previous strength didn't include the tailed beast cloak?' Jason thought as he looked back at Shanks. Jason prepared to rush towards Shanks once more but was suddenly stopped by an oppressive feeling, his instincts told him to run but he couldn't as Jason was kneeling on the floor with beads of sweat appearing on his face slowly losing consciousness. Jason tried to stay awake but his mind couldn't handle the powerful pressure and collapsed unconscious.
Shanks stared at Jason as he slowly approached Jason's unmoving body. "You did great young marine." Shanks casually spoke to the unconscious Jason as he sheathed Gryphon. "Don't let this loss affect you, you have a bright future." Shanks who was about to take another step stopped as a blue blur suddenly rushed towards him
"Lariat!!" that was the only word Shanks heard before he was hit by the neck with incredible power that sent him colliding to a tree. When Shanks looked up he saw Jason standing on his two feet surprising him.
Jason who was now standing looked at his trembling hands. 'What was that?' Jason thought as his mind drifted to the sudden voice he had heard while unconscious
"Wake up!"
'Was that Gyuki?' Jason thought as his only possible answer.
"Now that's a surprise I didn't think you would be able to fight no longer." Jason stopped looking at his hands and stared at the talking Shanks who had a slight bruise on his neck. "I admit, I really underestimated you. You were able to actually get a decent hit on me. You got to know it's not an easy task anyone can do." Jason's eyes twitched as how casually Shanks was speaking to him.
'Seriously, what is wrong with this guy? I just hit him on the neck with all I've got and the most he got is a slight bruise?
"Say how about you join my crew?" Shanks spoke reaching a hand towards Jason with a stupid looking grin
Jason hearing this offer paused, it wasn't like he wanted to join the Marines himself it was the previous owner of this body that already became a Marine before he even had a choice. 'Do I really wanna serve those celestial dragons? No! But the Marines can give valuable experience.....' Jason's mind was in a frenzy unsure what to do. the thought continued on for few more minutes before Jason finally decided to reply. "I'll have to decline your offer."
"Well that's a shame I wa-"
"It's because I have my own dreams." Jason interrupted Shanks. "I've already started losing faith of the Navy. I've seen the truth, the World Government isn't the justice I believed in, but that's why I want to continue forward. I'll continue to get stronger to turn this world upside down on my own!" Jason shouted out. "Therefore I won't listen to orders, as I'll lead my own path, whether that path is as a Marine or a Pirate."
Were his words true? Slightly, Jason wasn't sure if it was because of his own personality or the previous body owners feelings but Jason had a strong sense of justice. But Jason also couldn't lie that he wanted to go on his own adventures in the One piece world.
Shanks didn't reply to Jason and the two stared at each other in silence, after some time Jason spoke out breaking the silence.
"Let's call this as a draw." Shanks looked at Jason surprised. "I'm no match for you right now, so I'm making a promise here." Jason picked up one of his destroyed chakra blade and cut his arm shocking Shanks. "From now on, this scar will be a symbol and a reminder, that I'll one day surpass you!" Jason spoke calmly as if nothing has happened.
The two people stared at each other for a second before Shanks burst out in laughter's. "Hahaha! Alright I'll wait for that day to come." Shanks sheathed his sword making his way back to his ship, midway Shanks looked back at Jason. "By the way I don't think I've got your name?"
"Jason, Jason. D. Yin" Jason replied
"Jason... I'll remember that name" Shanks spoke as he started walking away sheathing Gryphon. "You should leave now, my crew should be back soon." Jason hearing this quickly made his way back not wanting to go through another fight he would lose.
Jason quickly arrived at a beach and summoned Garuda and left the island. While flying Jason looked back at his previous fight. 'Even with Vice Admiral strength I couldn't even harm him properly.' Jason thought
Back in Earth many looked down on the strength of a Vice Admiral. They're fighting scenes and true strengths weren't shown properly in the anime. But in reality Vice Admirals are the main forces of the Marines fighting pirates with bounties of 200 million and above.
'It may not seem like much but knowing haki itself is already enough to call them strong and a force to reckon with. Well unless you're in the New World' Jason laid on Garuda's back watching the clear blue sky.
"Puru Puru Puru Puru" Jason hearing the strange noise sat up and brought out a Den Den Mushi from his coat and received the call.
"Hello?" Jason asked
"Jason this is Captain Smoker." Jason was surprised hearing Smoker's voice coming out of the Den Den Mushi.
"Commander Jason speaking, what may you need sir?" Jason asked wondering the reason for the sudden call.
"I'm calling to check if you've found anything about the Straw Hat Pirates" Smoker spoke
"None so far sir, but once I do I'll immediately report the information." Jason replied
"Good keep a look out for them and stay safe the pirates here are unlike the ones in the Blues. Good luck" Smoker ended the call after saying his piece. Jason looked at the now sleeping Den Den Mushi in his hand and put it back in his coat
"Sorry Captain, but I think I'm gonna cause a little ruckus around here." Jason spoke to himself smiling.

A.N I'm back! Finals are done and I'll be back to posting. I'll be posting new parts every Thursday where I live. Also I'm planning on maybe posting other books in the future at different dates. Please Vote between Fairy Tail and Naruto I've got ideas for both anime but I want your opinion on what to work on first.
