I'M IN MARVEL

Chapter 20: CHAPTER 20

c20 Russell: I am the Wizard Spider-Man

1610 Universe

It was a dark and windy night outside a manor in the suburbs of New York.

Three figures were sneaking around.

"After the investigation, Miles and Peter with Belly will be transferred here tonight," the person who spoke was dressed in a black battle suit and a black cape.

It was Shadow Spider-Man, a version of Peter Parker from an alternate universe.

Shadow Spider-Man whispered to the two companions beside him.

"Let's hide here first and wait for an opportunity to rescue them."

"Is this a trap?" Spider-Ham, the anthropomorphic pig Spider-Man from Earth-8311, asked.

"Even if it is a trap, we must try it," Shadow Spider-Man explained.

"We are in this universe, and our bodies are becoming weaker and weaker. Only Penny's combat power is relatively intact, and we need new allies. Another thing is that Kingpin will definitely guard the space-time collider and won't be here. This is our chance."

Due to the several universes being connected, their cells were decaying, and over time, their bodies were getting weaker.

At this moment, Penny Parker, the Spider-Woman from Earth-14512, reminded them: "They're coming, remember, our goal is to save them, not to fight."

The vehicle stopped, and Peter with a belly and Miles were carried out. They seemed to have been injected with anesthetics.

Shadow Spider-Man blended into the shadows and lurked quietly.

Suddenly, he leapt out, knocking down the enemies with three punches and two kicks.

Swish!

The lights of the manor flickered on, and several teams of fully armed thugs rushed out.

It was indeed an ambush.

But then—

Swish!

A thick web shot out from a distance and stuck to Shadow Spider-Man's wrist.

Shadow Spider-Man's wrist spun several times to reinforce it, holding Miles in his left hand and Fat Peter in his right.

Penny, on the other side, started the robotic Spider-Man and was about to pull the spider silk to take them away when—

"If you want to leave, it's not that easy!"

The female version of Doctor Octopus appeared, using her mechanical tentacles to cut the spider silk.

"Spider-Man, tonight is your doomsday!"

The thugs quickly surrounded Shadow Spider-Man. Despite the encirclement, Shadow Spider-Man didn't panic.

"I still have a backup plan!"

The battle was about to begin.

At that moment, the ground beneath Shadow Spider-Man cracked, and in an instant, he disappeared without a trace.

"What's going on?"

This wasn't part of his backup plan.

Inside a plain room of an unfinished building, six Spider-Men were waiting for Belly Peter and Miles to wake up from the anesthesia.

"Can someone tell me what's going on?" Russell asked first.

Gwen, who had accidentally drifted to the 404 universe, had caused the original plot to unravel. Now Russell needed to understand the situation.

Fat Peter explained, "Because of Kingpin's space-time collider, several Spider-Man universes are now connected. To undo it, the collider must be destroyed. But the USB drive that could destroy the collider was damaged by Miles. He and I were supposed to sneak into Kingpin's company to copy the data, but we were caught during the retreat."

Shadow Spider-Man added, "I tried to stop Kingpin after learning about his plans here, but the three of us weren't strong enough. We decided to rescue the other two Spider-Men first."

"What about you two?" Shadow Spider-Man asked.

Using his spider sense, he could tell that Gwen was also a Spider-Man. But why had she shown up so late? Was there something special about her presence?

"Gwen Stacy, Ghost Spider," Gwen introduced herself.

"Gwen?" Fat Peter exclaimed but quickly fell silent. The Gwen in front of him was clearly not from his universe.

"Russell, the Mage Spider-Man," Russell introduced seriously.

When meeting other Spider-People, it was customary to introduce oneself.

The other Spider-Men turned to look at Russell. Didn't he know that when Spider-Men meet, they share a connection through their spider senses?

"Why? You don't believe it?" Russell asked, sensing their doubt.

He had come to this universe and picked up a spider totem—Peter Parker from Earth-1610 had died at the hands of Kingpin, and his spider totem had remained. Though the panel was still upgrading, he hadn't absorbed its power yet.

As the spider totem was activated—

"Huh?" The others exchanged confused looks as they felt the spider sense return.

"Is he really the Wizard Spider-Man?" they thought.

Russell explained, "I am a wizard, and I know how to hide the power of my spider totem. Makes sense, right?"

"It makes sense," Spider-Ham nodded. Coming from a universe full of bizarre and extraordinary powers, he was well-versed in such things.

"Okay, now that we know what's going on, let's hurry up."

"Speed up?" the others echoed.

"We need to go to Kingpin's office and copy the data," Russell stated confidently.

He opened a portal that led directly to Kingpin's office.

The expressions of Shadow Spider-Man, Penny, and Peter Porker shifted in surprise.

They had just been teleported!

"Why are you all standing there? Go copy the data," Russell urged.

"Oh, right!" Peter, the slow one, finally reacted.

"I figured it out later. We don't need to copy the data again, just repair the USB drive. Kingpin has a lot of computer files, and I don't know which one is relevant."

Russell was silent. "Where's the USB drive?"

"It was taken," Fat Peter smiled awkwardly.

"I've copied the data," Penny from the future suddenly said.

"Excellent! You're a true high-tech Spider-Woman," Russell nodded, satisfied.

"Thank you for the compliment, Wizard Spider-Man," Penny smiled back.

"Next, we go to Kingpin's building to destroy the particle collider."

The portal opened once more.

"Be careful, Kingpin's combat prowess is formidable," Shadow Spider-Man warned.

"Doctor Octopus is no slouch either," Belly Peter added.

Russell smiled slightly. "People are different from each other. The same goes for Spider-Men."

Stepping out of the portal, they were met with a trap—gangsters, mercenaries?

"Heh," Russell chuckled.

The next second, his spiritual power erupted. In an instant, the sky split, and moonlight poured down.

Under the moonlight, the six Spider-Men watched as fully armed mercenaries lost consciousness and fell to the ground.

"What a powerful Wizard Spider-Man," Russell muttered, speaking for everyone.

A few villains still clung to their consciousness. Russell didn't care who they were, except for the Prowler—Uncle Miles, and that was a difficult situation to explain.

With a flick of his fingers, invisible energy condensed into a real bullet and shot out, instantly taking down the threat.

"No, who will do the rest? You can't leave all the work to me, right?" Russell joked.

The Spider-Men exchanged glances. The problem that had troubled them for half a month had just been solved in an instant.

Wizard Spider-Man... So terrifying!

PS: The timeline is accurate. I will explain later why half a month has passed in the 1610 universe, while about twenty days have passed in the 404 universe.

The spider totem I picked up came from Peter Parker of Earth-1610.
