NOVEL NEXT Chapter 12: “I Disappeared”
The group of assistant directors and staff immediately quieted down.
Everyone looked at the director with tension in their eyes.
This is the mysterious investor who suddenly invested in their variety show just a while ago!
This investor allowed them to rent a few more streets so that each star could shoot the variety show without temporarily meeting each other.
This investor was also the one introducing Aon Flearov to them, and now, the investor had something to say about this little star.
What would it be?
The director nodded in satisfaction at the staff's reaction and immediately read out loud the message he just received in his optical watch.
"The investor said— let Aon Flearov leave the show early. Just make some excuses..."
The director's voice became smaller and smaller until he uttered the last few sentences.
"Cut down the guy's part in the edited clip as much as you can, or just show the unbearable sides... don't show the action moves."
Now, even the mean-looking assistant director was stunned at what he just heard.
This...what's wrong with the investor?
The mysterious investor brought the little star to them, so shouldn't they want the star to be famous?
But the investor actually wanted to suppress the little star, even smearing his name!
This investor is so weird.
The director and the others were confused, but they had no other choices.
They could only obey the arrangement.
Anyway, their show was supposed to go bankrupt and they could shoot this episode, entirely because of the new investor.
The old investors had all run away.
The director sighed as he waved his hand at his two assistant directors.
"Forcefully activate the teleportation feature in that guy's optical watch."
"Just say to the public that he's eliminated because he didn't whack enough zombies and he's also scratched."
The director wanted to play the fair card and the caring card to appease the audiences who were attracted to their show because of this guy.
The director really wanted Aon to say, especially after he found a nucleus crystal, which could be a hot topic.
But the investor had the final say, so they could do nothing.
The whole team immediately executed the director's order and contacted the people in charge of controlling the technology.
"Is the [Doomsday Gate] connected to Aon Flearov's optical watch?"
"It's connected! Even if he doesn't respond and the watch is still in an invisible and dormant state, we can open the gate anytime."
"Okay. Prepare the isolation room and all the facilities..."
"Put the coordinate of the teleportation in the isolation room!"
"Medical staff, please be ready to enter the isolation room— "
"Should we contact Nyanco Entertainment so they can pick up their artist?"
"I've called the guy's manager. She's on the way!"
The show's team in another world far away from Aon's doomsday world were busy preparing to summon the little star back to the filming base.
But Aon didn't know. He still thought that he would have to survive in this apocalypse world for the rest of his life!
And so, after pocketing the nucleus crystal, the guy walked out of the street he was in, intending to go to another street next door.
When Aon arrived at the entrance of the neighboring street, he immediately caught sight of sporadic zombies wandering around a certain empty building.
It was as if they were attracted to something inside the building.
Aon saw the three young zombies over there and his eyes turned red of jealousy.
How could this street have more powerful zombies while his place only had one zombie and a few weak zombies he painstakingly attracted??
Aon didn't know that the street he was assigned to wasn't the one he was in just a while ago.
The original body ran all the way to an inhabitable street because the street he was assigned to was actually full of zombies!
The original body was lucky to be able to run that far away and the zombies didn't catch up, just lingering on that street.
But his luck ran out and the "handsome zombie" still caught up, scratching his face.
Then, the original body...was frightened to death.
That's when Aon came to this world.
The best actor knew nothing about the original body's past without the memory, so he bravely went to find the three strong zombies over there....
And snap their necks cleanly.
Three zombies fell down so quickly that Xing Xing once again wondered whether he was needed or not.
His dad looked like he was fine without him!
Aon, the crystal-loving maniac, once again dug the zombie's heads with the steel bar in his hand.
But still, none of the three zombies had a nucleus crystal!
Just when Aon was getting increasingly irritated, there was a movement from the building that the zombies besieged.
Aon's ears twitched, and he immediately looked at the dark, empty building in front of him.
A sound of light footsteps echoed from the deepest part of the building, getting closer and closer....
Instead of being wary, Aon almost shed tears in excitement.
Ah! Is that a new zombie incoming??
Now, Aon's allergy to zombies was alleviated ever since he knew these ugly creatures could give birth to such a beautiful nucleus crystal.
Aon rubbed his palms together and waited until the creature inside the building came out.
In no time, a human figure appeared from the dark building, going straight to the bright street outside.
Naturally, Aon and Xing Xing, including the audience who stayed in Aon's livestream room, saw the figure clearly.
Aon expected to see a rotten zombie, but what came to his sight was actually...
A beautiful young girl?
The sunlight was too bright, and Aon could only see the silhouette of the person when the invisible watch on his wrist suddenly lit up with a blue light, catching him off guard.
Before Aon could see what's going on with his wrist, the blue light had already spread to his whole body!
Under everyone's shocked gaze...
Aon's figure disappeared into thin air.
