I will strive beyond this cursed bloodline!

Chapter 76: Can we keep it...?

Turns out, even if Elizabeth couldn't wait, there was waiting to be suffered. As it was, the sudden disappearance of most of her minions was more noted than what she expected.

The first thing was that her Shadow Dragons had to retreat from most of their jobs, they did leave wards and whatnot and gave the keys to those wards to Jenna before leaving, Elizabeth... Instinctively knew that she couldn't call the minions anymore, not that they were still minions.

She of course still had the skills there, her [Shadow Minion Summon] skill, a skill that she really only used once. And... while she could probably use it again and summon a higher order Minion right now thanks to her domain and control over shadows, Elizabeth decided to let go of the skill.

She would... not use it more, she had seen what was the apex of that skill and was content with it as it was, also continuing using it may just create a new race of Shadow Dragons, or worse... Summon one of her former minions out from Terra Nexus.

And while she would love to have them, it was better for them to adapt and grow within the sealed space that had become Terra Nexu-

Oh... OOOOHHHH!!!!

"I KNOW WHY IT FEELS BETTER!" Elizabeth screamed suddenly as Rossie and Rena were looking at a couple of lists on the dining table.

"Eli-Eli, I know you get distracted easily, but we do need to check if there is someone you want to move to another place in the seating." Rossie said sighing and looking up to Elizabeth, "Please, we have less than a week to do this, and this is work to be done in months."

"Even I am doing it, Eli, and I didn't really know that many people." Rena said from the side as she pointed at a pile of files that she had read.

Elizabeth, of course, could speed-read that in seconds, not that she would, since the data would then need to be processed by her. Now that she couldn't delegate the work to her minions, it meant that she had to do it herself.

"It's important, Rossie, it's why I felt this powerful and light," Elizabeth said grumbling, "And besides, all our friends are realistically already in a separate section, or decided to come to the more private wedding."

"Even so, we need to go through this list, maybe you will see a name you remember and or wish to spare." Rossie said, sighing, "But fine, what did you find out?"

"Yay!" Elizabeth said nodding at Rossie, "The reason I felt light and more powerful and less restrained is because my Soul is no longer dealing with the weight of Terra Nexus."

"....What?" Rossie said, suddenly looking at Elizabeth as if she had grown a second head, "Did you... lose our daughter?"

"What?" Elizabeth said suddenly touching her stomach in reflex, she wasn't quite sure why she had done that, "No?"

Elizabeth wasn't quite sure what it was about, and then, she remembered, it was really just a lapse in judgment. Thinking clearly it was obvious what Rossie was speaking about.

"Beatrice is fine," Elizabeth said, removing her hand from her abdomen, "She wasn't in Terra Nexus, but in the Shadow of Terra Nexus... Not that I can access that side either."

"Really?" Rossie said, calming down, "Then what do you mean by that?"

"Well, exactly what I said." Elizabeth said, snapping her fingers and materializing the illusion of her body and the illusion of a Terra Nexus. "My body was previously dealing with the metaphysical weight of a planet and all the souls within there, I got some power from this of course, but it did not cancel the weight I was suffering, and while I got extra power from it. It was still straining my soul."

And Elizabeth had never noticed it, even though she should have, what she had been thinking was that her soul was sturdier, and when she found out about the Dragon Inheritance, she just assumed that she was built differently.

She was, after all, her parents' daughter.

But now? Now that her body and soul weren't strained? The difference was akin to heaven and hell. Her step was light, her shoulders weren't strained, and her mind was at peace.

There was no hidden spell formulae going on in the back of her mind helping her stabilize and regulate mana, her Mana Cores were spinning at a lazy tune, merely ensuring the mana wasn't clogging anywhere.

"And here I thought it was the afterglow of our love," Elizabeth said laughing, "I mean, don't get me wrong, that felt amazing and I am looking forward to tonight....♥"

"AT LEAST GIVE US A DAY OF REST!" Rossie suddenly screamed.

"...It was a joke, I was planning to just cuddle a little..." Elizabeth said, deflating, she of course knew that everything needed to be done in moderation, besides, sleeping with her wives without having to run away to her mindscape... knowing she could fondle, pinch, and grope all she wanted without need to mind... That in itself was also a reward. "But yes, the thing is... I am free!"

"Will it not be an issue when the time barrier breaks?" Rena pointed out, "I assume you aren't going to keep it this way?"

Elizabeth of course knew about that fact, "I will take them back when they return to real space yes," Was the answer she gave. There was no need to think about it.

She had grown to this point thanks to them, and as much as she gave, they gave even more back. Terra Nexus was her foundation, and while she currently had all the important bits... She still had things there that she wanted back.

This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it.

And more importantly, while she had a few things available to her, she didn't have all of them; she could access a few things in her Inventory, but she didn't have full access to all.

She could probably store back the Cathedral, but she wouldn't be able to pull it back for example. She wasn't able to traverse in and out either.

"Wait," Rossie suddenly said, "What about our apartment?"

"What about it?" Elizabeth asked, "It's still there in the Shadow Haven."

"But... if Terra Nexus is sealed off, how are we going back?" Rossie asked confused, "Where are we going to sleep?"

"I mean... The only way you two had access to it was thanks to the soul tether," Elizabeth said shrugging, "We don't have that anymore. So unless we restore it..."

"Gnnuu...." Rossie said cutely while biting one of her nails, she didn't seem to have thought about that aspect of their relationship, and that, Elizabeth found adorable.

"It's fine Rossie, as soon as it returns it will be in real space, so you will be able to go there even without the soul tether," Elizabeth consoled Rossie, "Besides, even without the soul tether I would make it so you can go there, not like we will need it. We will have a special place for us soon enough."

Elizabeth was planning to give everything that Rossie and Rena so desired, be it an opulent house in the middle of the nascent civilization that they found within Terra Nexus. Or a calm beach house in one of the isolated islands.

And if there wasn't one, she would make one, what was night omnipotent powers within her World if not for that after all.

"How long do you think it will remain closed off?" Rossie asked turning to Rossie, it seemed that the shared apartment within her Soulscape was that important to Rossie.

"Probably a few years I guess," Elizabeth answered prodding at the barrier that separated her from it, "I could probably break it right now if needed, but I would then combust from the mana drain. I did use quite a bit of mana inside that time barrier."

"We can wait," Rena said quickly, "We will wait... Do you think it will break before you are ready?"

Did Elizabeth think that?

"Probably not," Elizabeth said getting a feel for the barrier, there was an aspect of Fate to it, one that was not tied to the Fate of Zaanam, but to her own personal connection with Terra Nexus. "It will break when either we need it, or when there aren't issues."

Elizabeth of that she was sure.

"Good," Rena said nodding at that statement, "If not, we would need to prepare mana batteries for you."

That, was a somber thought, people whose job was to merely generate mana for someone else, a job that Elizabeth didn't want anything to do with, and that in a practical point of view she would never need, there was no way someone would be able to generate more mana than her after all.

Well, perhaps now? Now that she wasn't connected to a whole planet as mana generator... But then again, she had her own Dragon Heart active. So her mana generation was almost equal if not higher than what she used to have.

"That won't be necessary," Elizabeth said, shaking her head and placing a hand atop her chest, "When Terra Nexus returns, I will have no problems with mana ever again. If anything, I only need to get used to the new heart and find out what I can do now."

And really, Elizabeth needed to think less about that and focus more on that stupid thing beating within her heart. She had seen some of what it was able to do thanks to the week she spent dealing with Terra Nexus, but the question was how much of that she was able to do now.

"And speaking about that, what are you able to do now?" Rossie asked, "Was my Sin helpful?"

"It was, and even if it was the most useless of the seven, it would still be the most important, because it was the one you gave me." Elizabeth answered with a smile, "Of course, Rena's is also important."

"Thank you Eli, but even I think Rossie's is probably better." Rena said smiling, "Besides, Rossie's gift was made thinking about you, while mine was gestated with rage against the world."

True, but even so, Rena had helped her, too. Even before.

"As for what it does..." Elizabeth said smiling summoning a screen that showed a picture of all the new races that had spread over Terra Nexus, "... It helped me take the last step needed in Terra Nexus."

And after that she summoned a blue screen.

-Lust's Desire:

You have returned to the origin, the first interaction with a Sin you ever encountered, the Lust that was pent up was released, and a new life awaits you. You have embraced the incarnation of Lust and filled it with Love.

And so, a new life will be born.

Your mana is forever changed, from being mere energy into becoming life. You will be able to grant life to that which has lost it, you will be able to interact with life essence and mold it to your needs. From turning the inanimate into the living, to granting a second chance to that which you desire.

But beware, because this is not devoid of consequences, life is sacred. And abusing this skill may result in unforetold consequences, ensure that which you grant the gift of life is something special to you, lest you create an abomination.

[Allows the user to breathe life into the inanimate.]

[Can turn the undead to life, closing the circle of life. From dead to alive.]

[Allows the user to turn life into undead, you may sap the life out of anyone, the more lustful the means you use, the more life you will take.]

[Allows the user to gestate new life, no matter the partners in the relationship. Life will always find a way.]

"It gave me the last stepping stone and so, Terra Nexus will be a fully settled world when it comes out of the time barrier," Elizabeth showed the photos of the humanoid forms, and...

"Those are six, where is the seventh?" Rossie asked, "I assume you made one per Sin, if what we are seeing is something to go by."

"...Here..." Elizabeth said sighing and summoning two pictures, one of the pink bunny, and other of what Elizabeth envisioned when they were done with their mission, "They will help with repopulating the animal life and help spread a little the genetic bank."

Really, the lust bunnies were too good for both.

"Oh, they look kind of cute." Rossie said nodding at the image of the bunnies, "So I assume those were made out from me."

Of course, while not all of them had pink hair, some of those bunnies had pink fur, and in turn, the picture of the theoretical form that they would take also had pink hair.

"They are cute," Rena said too nodding, "Can we keep one?"

"If you find one that decides to not take the last step towards sapience then sure." Elizabeth said sighing, of course Rena would want a pet Rossie... I mean, a pet bunny.

"The last step to sapience?" Rossie asked confused, "They aren't sapient? I thought all your former minions were sapient."

"They aren't." Elizabeth said shaking her head, "I couldn't ask of them to breed all the animal life if they were sapient."

"...I mean, I know a pair of girls who wouldn't mind doing just that." Rossie said in a small voice, Elizabeth would pretend that she didn't hear that of course.

"Right, anyway... When they are done with that repopulation project, and that includes the land, water and air animal life." Elizabeth said bringing a list of all the animal species that were endemic to Terra Invicta, and now would repopulate Terra Nexus.

A few species were...weird, like why make a bird that lived on the north pole, couldn't fly, but had wings? That was weird!

Like, they even had a bird like the Thunderbird, but that didn't have wings, only had legs, was round, but was as tall as three meters tall. And ran like a devil, it was weird.

Elizabeth could almost swear that this was some kind of weird design that the blonde asshole had foisted upon the planet for his own amusement or something.

"Well, when they return we can search for one I guess." Rossie said nodding, "Also, I can't help but notice... that some of those pictures don't show... males."

"Ah, right, not all the former minions had male members, and some of them didn't have the right body configuration to have descendants." Elizabeth said nodding with a sigh, "It was like the mana or fate, or whatever that finished their design didn't think they would ever become living entities."

"I mean... most summon creatures don't." Rossie said pointing that out.

"But from how you say it, I assume that you fixed those issues?" Rena said with a worried face, even though her Fire Salamanders were one of the ones that had males and females, she probably intued that they were one that couldn't have offsprings.

"Yes," Elizabeth said nodding, "I fixed it, now they all can have daughters and sons, no matter what."

"No matter what...?" Rossie asked confused, "So... even the Space foxes? Those are all female right?"

"Yes," Elizabeth said nodding, "I made it a Divine Law, anyone so long they find a partner and love each other will be able to have daughters and sons."

"...Even us?" Rossie asked placing a hand on her lower stomach, "Then....?"

"Not yet," Elizabeth said shaking her head, "Alice and Chloe will tell us when Beatrice is ready to return, her soul needs care. And now that I am closer to apotheosis the speed of her healing is speeding up."

Really, perhaps even her Dragon Heart could help?

She would need to check with Alice and Chloe later, there were a few things that thing said on the description that Elizabeth needed to really check after all.

But for now?

For now they would tackle these lists...and then tomorrow... Tomorrow Elizabeth would either check the skill, or prepare for the wedding's practice.

Whatever she was ambushed with first.
