He was certain that the eye within the black void had singled him out as its only target.

Did it lock onto him as its target after seeing him, or... even before seeing him, had it already chosen him as its target, coming from another world specifically to find him?

If it's the former, that's not surprising; he's exceptionally unique, and it would be normal for some beings capable of detecting his uniqueness to be interested in him.

But if it's the latter... that's somewhat terrifying.

It implies that, beyond this present world, some entities from other worlds have set their sights on him.
