I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess

Chapter 443: Lord No More?

The Jungle Lord had two phases.

One, where it would primarily utilise its physical strength and speed to pummel down the enemy with its weapons.

And its second form, where it would fully switch to a more magical and defensive approach.

Its body would become more durable and tougher to put down as it would gain a ridiculous healing factor, as well as having a higher amount of control over vines comparable to that of a Prime-rank monster.

An entity created with the combination of both flesh and plantlife, evident by the blades of grass that coursed through its veins previously.

In this state, the Jungle Lord was effectively immortal for 2 whole minutes.

Due to its now highly durable body and high regeneration factor, it would not die unless it had either achieved its new purpose, run out of time, or had been reduced to nothing.

Now what that new purpose was... It was—

'—To take over its enemy's body.'

Lillian watched as the undead monsters swarmed around her and charged in waves.

Claws, tails, spear-like limbs, paws—all sorts of weaponry, these undead creatures had, they threw them at Lillian without a smidge of mercy.

Even utilising the vines to control their body as weapons.

Luckily, under all the effects of her items, she managed to dodge them with ease, even going as far as counterattacking them.

However—

SWISH!

—They would only regenerate and come back to fight.

The Jungle Lord's primary form of attack in this phase would be to either overwhelm its enemy in swarms of undead or with its vines.

Fortunately, Lillian hadn't had to deal with the latter, but it was still worrisome.

[00:50]

With 50 seconds left until her dashes fully recharged, Lillian dodged under a swing of a monster before reeling back her arm.

Then, punching with lightning speed, Lillian slammed her fist into its body and conjured countless sharp translucent rods to pierce through its body.

As the translucent lines punctured through its entire body, they then shot towards nearby monsters and did the same thing, creating branches.

Parasitic Lattice: This was one of the spells she had formed out of her battle with the Puppeteer.

By summoning a swarm of Parasitic Lines—of the thicker and sharper variety—this spell acted as both an offence and a support spell.

Albeit it took more mana than just a regular Parasitic Line would.

[00:40]

As Lillian continued to thin out the horde around her, swinging and slashing with her sword and striking them down with spears of water, she couldn't help but feel much better about her current situation.

Even though it was still tiring, it was still more of a breather compared to when she faced the speedy Jungle Lord.

And!

Due to her Parasitic Lattice, she was now connected to several sources of both mana and vitality—all linked towards the Jungle Lord, who had yet to do anything more beyond summoning reinforcements.

But...

That was until one of Lillian's spears had overshot and flown towards the Jungle Lord, who—

SPLASH!

—Whipped it out of the air with vine-like arms.

As though it had suddenly woken up from a deep sleep, the surrounding vines began to awaken as well before charging towards Lillian rapidly.

Her eyes flashed with a cautious light as she began to twist her body around, dodging the vines with immense speed as she continued to thin out the horde of monsters.

For now, the rate of the vines was still bearable.

However...

SWISH! SWOOSH! SWISH!

[00:32]

It quickly became something of a worry as Lillian had to focus entirely on dodging or blocking to keep herself safe.

She even had to begin avoiding the undead monsters because, due to her lack of extermination, they had begun to group together and attack her all at once.

Transforming her body in and out of water, Lillian continued to dash and dodge the countless high-speed vines.

Although just barely now.

SKRR!

With a lean, Lillian managed to dodge yet another vine, but the fact that it managed to skim over the surface of her chestplate left her worried.

'Too close!'

Once straightened herself, Lillian slashed her sword at another vine.

DING!

She widened her eyes as her sword rebounded off it. It was hard!

Lillian flew back towards one of the undead and eviscerated it with her water magic.

[00:28]

As Lillian tried to descend quickly to the ground, she watched as the two monsters in front of her suddenly exploded into vines.

Her eyes shot wide open as she braced for the attack.

SWIP! x4

The vines shot towards her like sharp metal rods that not only managed to breach through her defence, but also pierced through her shoulders and thighs.

Lillian's eyes bulged at the pain as she was dragged through the air and slammed into countless—

THUD! THUD! THUD!

—Hard surfaces.

Fortunately for Lillian, her Parasitic Lines still remained active, allowing her to quickly recover from the damage inflicted.

She had also been lucky enough to protect her entire head from being either damaged or skewered by the few vines that had targeted her throughout this.

However, that didn't mean she was free from the pain or trauma of.

Not only that...

But the vines began to crawl inside her body.

Lillian gritted her teeth as she felt the vines squirming inside her body like parasites, causing her blood vessels to take on a horrific dark green.

It was...

It was trying to take over!

Now that the Jungle Lord's original body was mostly destroyed, it needed a source of vitality to regain what it had lost.

[00:14]

As Lillian tried to resist the control, the vines suddenly began to drag her towards the sky and not only that—

SWOOSH!

—But the head of the Jungle had even begun chasing after her, its neck extending rapidly in length.

Lillian, surprised by such a turn of events, quickly regained her composure before glancing back and watching as she was...

Headed straight for a wall of sharp vines that had blotted out the entire sky above the arena.

Was she... About to be skewered and devoured?

...

Lillian internally smirked as she tugged on the control of something of her creation that she had been gradually creating since the start of the battle.

The Jungle Lord had forgotten about the large concentration of water in the sky.

With a pull on her control, the large body of water in the sky—right above the wall of vines—fell with tremendous force as it shattered through the vine wall.

And once the wall of vines was no more, the Jungle Lord's eyes flickered for a moment—shocked—before listening as an eerie laughter rang out.

Lillian let out a slow and mysterious laugh as the world slowed down.

As the sea above them continued to descend like a waterfall from the heavens, Lillian flashed out her index and middle fingers in the direction of the Jungle Lord with a maniacal grin.

This was...

This was a true—

"—CHECKMATE!"

[00:00]

As soon as time resumed, Lillian slashed through the vines that were stuck to her body before directing all the water towards the Jungle Lord below with her finger.

The Jungle Lord, who watched as the water rushed towards it, paused in its chase before raising its arm in defence.

However, such an attempt was futile for the pressure behind the water slammed it back down into the arena—

THUD!

—Crushing it and its minions with the force of a crashing tsunami.

And once the entire arena was flooded, Lillian swirled her finger and caused it to spin rapidly—transforming it into a massive whirlpool.

The Jungle Lord's body, which had just been crushed, was now being torn apart and twisted at an exceeding rate.

Although it managed to consistently regain its form, it couldn't say the same for its minions, which were being destroyed faster than they could regenerate.

...

But.

Soon enough, the whirlpool calmed and slowed down, eventually coming to a stop.

In the small moment of realisation, the Jungle Lord absorbed the surrounding water using the vines making up its body before ejecting them with fierce intensity.

And by doing that, it began to shoot itself towards the surface of the water.

SPLASH!

Once it finally reached the surface, causing a geyser of water with its appearance, it slowly regenerated its body.

Besides its skull, every inch of flesh on its body had now disappeared—only replaced by vines that tried to mimic its previous form.

It then looked around for Lillian, twisting its head left and right. Soon enough, it discovered her calmly standing on the surface of the water with a surprised expression.

"You survived that? I need to learn a thing or two about you." Lillian muttered as she held a hand to the vine stuck through her left shoulder—the last one she needed to remove.

Although difficult to see, one would be able to see the dark green veins spreading throughout Lillian's body slowly retreat back to their origin, as if they had encountered some kind of dangerous antibody.

But... That wasn't the truth.

Instead, it was due to the fact that the parasitic aspect of the vine had begun to disappear.

How, you may ask? Well... Who else but Lillian was capable of such a thing?

Lillian gave a small smirk as well as a mocking blink.

Even if she wasn't as fast as the Jungle Lord—or as strong as it—she was still an awful matchup for the Wendigo, who sensed something amiss with that particular vine.

Following that, it watched as Lillian's body suddenly blurred, with the only thing it saw being her stomping against the surface of the water.

SPLASH! x 5

The surface of the water suddenly exploded outwards as a high-speed object dashed over it.

Lillian, having just used all of her dashes in that short moment, appeared before the "now-slow" Jungle Lord, who became startled at her arrival.

PSHT!

The lights in its eyes flickered as it felt something stab through the centre of its chest.

Piercing her shortsword into the chest of the Jungle Lord, Lillian immediately twisted it and caused several strings of Parasitic Lines to appear.

Due to what she had just done earlier, she was rather low on mana...

The Jungle Lord, noticing that its supply of mana had begun to drain once more, let out a furious roar as it swiped its right arm onto Lillian's figure.

SWISH!

But then...

It heard Lillian mutter:

"[Twin-headed Fury...]"

The moment it heard her say that, its danger warning began to ring within its mind.

Sizzle...

The surface of the water began to immediately transform into a subtle mist as a scorching heat radiated from Lillian's ear, followed by a plasmatic glow.

Then, in a split second, something shot out from Lillian's back with blinding speed and caused it to lose its swinging arm along with its entire shoulder.

And not even a moment later, the entire Jungle Lord's torso disappeared.

The Wendigo quickly regenerated itself and caught its falling limbs before looking towards Lillian's back.

And what it found were two identical light-blue scaly cylinders made out of pure energy, which gradually increased in width the longer they stretched before remaining consistent.

The material of the cylinders seemed to be made out of plasma.

As Jungle Lord's gaze ascended, they eventually settled on the sight of two plasmatic heads reminiscent of a ferocious deep-sea creature—a leviathan.

Or more accurately, the Twin-headed Seawater Leviathan.

The scaly cylinders that were attached to the heads were actually their necks!

The Jungle Lord shook with one thought.

Dangerous.

The mist that had been emitted from the surface of the water was split in two as the Jungle Lord whipped its arm towards Lillian in a wide arc.

It needed to eliminate Lillian and use her vitality as fuel for another body! And quick!

But it was unfortunately intercepted.

Right as it had initiated the attack and displayed clear hostility, the plasmatic heads swerved in the air before instantly—

FWOOSH!

—Diving down at lightning speed with the force of a bullet train.

SPLASH!

They rammed into the body of the Jungle Lord and dragged it under the water and around the flooded arena.

One bit into the lower half of the Jungle Lord and severed its connection with the ground.

The other crushed and scorched the upper half in its plasmatic maw.

And with the combined strength of both, they slammed the Jungle Lord into the arena's walls before dragging the Wendigo through it, causing them to circle around.

The Jungle Lord healed repeatedly at an exorbitant rate, trying to lash its arms out at the plasmatic heads.

But no matter how much the Jungle Lord tried to regenerate, it would always be put back in its current state—charred.

Even the water around them did next to nothing to help it endure the burning assault of the plasmatic heads as they boiled and evaporated instantly.

Soon enough, all the water within the arena had disappeared, leaving behind the still living Jungle Lord, the two plasmatic heads, and Lillian, who...

Was spinning around in a circle as she controlled the plasmatic heads to assault the broken Jungle Lord.

Then, with very few mana left, Lillian flipped her hand up and caused one of the plasmatic heads to move away from the Jungle Lord and rise into the sky.

Following that, the plasmatic head that still dragged the Jungle Lord slowly tilted upwards, pushing the Jungle Lord into the sky along with it.

And as it continued to climb higher and higher into the sky, so did its twin as they too descended rapidly. They both were charging straight into each other.

Lillian, who was swinging her sword around dramatically like the baton of a conductor guiding a choir, smiled with a subtle glow in her eyes as she stabbed it into the ground.

Then, with a swift motion—

Clap.

—She clapped her hands together softly.

And not even a split second after—

CLAP!

—An even louder clap emerged in the sky above her, as the two plasmatic heads crashed into each other, causing a thunderclap to resound.

And with it...

Ashes began to fall from the sky.

[You have slain a Dire Gore, Jungle Lord]

Lillian's ears twitched as she heard that, satisfied with the outcome of the battle.

But what she heard next only made her smile even larger.

[You have gained a Shard]

Lillian looked up into the sky with a slight smile, watching as the ashes of the Jungle Lord continued to fall before catching what seemed to be a viridian glass-like orb.

It was a Mana Core.

Seeing this, Lillian couldn't help but out a small laugh as she strolled over and sat on the throne where the Jungle Lord previously sat.

She then muttered with a playful, but also slightly weary voice:

"Oh~? Two parting gifts just for me? Oh, you shouldn't have~..."
