Chapter 248: Millis's Ingenuity?
Reph nodded, "It is correct."
"She seems like an interesting young girl." The king stroked his chin, pondering, "And she's skilled and talented too, to a degree. Do introduce us when you get the chance, Reph."
"Uh... Yeah... Sure..."
As the Prince muttered this, a certain black-haired woman's face popped into his mind, almost as though warning him of something he wasn't ever going to do.

"Well this is awkward." Millis muttered, having just stumbled upon the enemy team, who had now regrouped.
They were inside a cave, using the corpses of monsters as seats as they planned their strategy. However, because of Millis's need for adventure, she happened to have met them.
Millis stared at the three and, after a minute, slowly began backing away from the cave until she was entirely gone from their sight.
She then made an immediate dash.
"HEY GET BACK HERE!" She heard them yell, but she wasn't going to face them head-on.
The reason?
She was currently alone and without her team members again. The three had decided to separate and go hunt on their own. Because of this strategy, they did manage to rack up a decent amount of points.
But, of course, this did leave them to be prone to being overwhelmed.
As Millis ran through the path she came from, she noticed a shadow move over her from above. Looking up, she found that it was Reuben's doing.
And then, in the corner of her eyes to her right, she found another person running along the side of the walls, chasing after her as their cloak fluttered behind them.
This person's name was Quinn.
She quickly drew her eyes towards her left, watching as a monster with wings flew beside her, chasing after her as well.
It had an elongated neck, reflective scales that made it hard to look at, claws as sharp and long as swords, and a head that pulled everything together to form...
A small wyvern.
And on its back was a woman as its rider. This woman was Historia, the last member of their team.
Millis smiled wryly at her current situation, wondering.
How was she going to get out of this?
After a brief moment, she suddenly struck an idea.
Quinn, running alongside the wall, drew a dagger from his waist belt and pounced towards Millis with merciless intent. But before his weapon could sink into the Heroine's skull, he watched as she made a sharp turn.
Millis, turning, ducked slightly under the dagger and plunged her fist into the centre of his body.
Quinn's body folded forward at the force that made contact with his body.
He then felt his back crash into the side of the mountain, air leaving his chest as Millis delivered another blow to his ribcage.
Millis glanced up, the tip of a blade reflecting in her eyes.
She dashed back, dodging Reuben's quick stab as his sword plunged into the ground.
She then tapped her feet on the ground.
Quinn, still staggered from Millis's blow on his solar plexus and rib cage, felt something prick the back of his neck. And suddenly...
Reuben, pulling his sword out from the ground, flinched as a flat, sharp blade of stone cleaved through Quinn's neck from behind, beheading him.
The man's body remained upright, leaning against the side of the mountain before slowly tilting to the side, leaving a red curve marking on the wall.
And then, his body was digitised. He was back to waiting for the respawn period.
Reuben tore his gaze away from Quinn's body and looked towards Millis, finding her leaping toward Historia's wyvern with a sword in hand.
The winged monster raised its elongated head towards the woman, widening its jaws to reveal a maw filled with violet teeth.
Millis pulled back her sword arm, pointing the tip of her blade at the snout of the wyvern before jabbing it forward.
As her blade cut through the air, and at the moment of impact, Millis felt a devastating shock sent through her body as she was launched back by a mysterious force.
This blade she was using was the one she had received from the mysterious trader alongside Lillian.
And this one... seemed to have the exact same restriction of recoil as Lillian's shortsword.
As Millis flew in the air under the confused scrutiny of the enemies below her, she twisted around, facing her body parallel to the wall she was rapidly approaching.
She reeled back her arm and stabbed at the wall, just like she had done with the wyvern.
And just like what happened when she did it, the mysterious force launched her back as punishment.
Her body flew over the two and began making a quick descent down.
She twisted her body around, smiling due to the exciting skydive she was taking part in.
As the wind whipped through her hair, brushing along the sides of her body, her eyes took note of the trees and shrubberies near the base of the mountain, which she was steadily approaching rapidly.
She took a deep breath, gripping the hilt of her sword.
As her body was about to crash into the steep side of the mountain, she stabbed her sword into it, creating another repulsive reaction, which landed her in the trees.
As she fell onto their branches, she used her ability increased its size and form a slide out of it, allowing her to gently make her way down to the ground.
Once her feet met the ground, she rolled her sword arm, finding it sore from all the recoil she had endured.
She then hunched over and rubbed her backside, groaning a bit.
"I think I got splinter up there..."

Lillian, who was watching Millis's impressive performance in escaping, couldn't help but be in awe at the Heroine's use of the sword's restriction.
It was... almost similar to how she had used it in her own match.
Except...
Millis had entirely used it for movement over the rocky and rough terrains and had even used it to avoid attacks and negate fall damage.
It was... an incredibly smart way to make use of it.
"I'm... going to do that at some point..."
