Lying on the bed, Rodney felt a wave of weakness washing over him. The room was simple, a bit messy, with numerous books and scattered notes on the table.

A pleasant scent of sweet and sour citrus filled the air, creating a comfortable ambiance. Instead of being taken away by the Fish-Man, he had been rescued by Nami, who rushed to check on the situation.

The battle at Arlong Park had garnered significant attention from the villagers of Cocoyasi, prompting Nami to take the initiative to go. Being a member of the Arlong Pirates, she knew that Arlong and his crew wouldn't attack her.

Upon her arrival, Nami found Rodney, thinking he had failed, so she hid him in the grass before proceeding to Arlong Park. To her surprise, she discovered the ruins of Arlong Park and Arlong's lifeless body lying amidst the rubble.

Was this the end of their long-standing nightmare? Would it truly conclude so easily?

Unable to believe it, she cautiously approached, stabbing Arlong's corpse with a small knife. After multiple stabs, Nami confirmed that the nightmare was indeed over. The nightmare she had longed to end had been terminated by her hand!

Weeping loudly next to Arlong's lifeless body, Nami vented the emotions that had accumulated in her heart. She didn't know how long she cried before remembering that Rodney was still hidden in the grass nearby.

With all her strength, she brought him back and settled him in her room.

...

"Mr. Rodney, are you feeling better?" A girl with short blue hair and bronze skin entered the room, showing great respect for him.

Rodney had defeated Arlong, a mountain that had oppressed numerous surrounding villages. Because of this, Nami, her beloved sister, no longer had to risk her life on the sea, and the guilt-stricken villagers no longer needed to speak ill of their beloved Nami.

All of this was thanks to Mr. Rodney.

"Miss Nojiko? My body is fine, but I can't move."

Rodney's voice lacked strength as if he had spent several days cultivating immortality, consuming a significant amount of chakra.

It felt similar to Hatake's state after his battle against Zabuza Momochi. The Sharingan consumed chakra over an extended period, and with limited mana to begin with, he had exhausted much of it. Additionally, he utilized several large-scale ninjutsu that directly drained the chakra in his body, leaving him depleted and bedridden.

This state was also akin to the 'near' death of Zabuza, though he died.

Currently, he faced a situation similar to that. The hidden wounds on his body had worsened, and Arlong's threat was not significant compared to the damage inflicted by Koruubi. If left untreated, this dark wound could lead to complications.

"Well, then continue to rest. Do you need anything?" Nojiko asked.

"It's nothing. Where is Miss Nami?"

He had been lying there for two days, and Nami seemed to be leading a group to dig up all the belongings buried beneath the ruins, money stolen by thieves.

Nojiko replied, "Nami and the others are distributing the money."

"What about Arlong's head?"

"Per your suggestion, it was severed by the village butcher."

"Very well, I apologize for the inconvenience caused." With closed eyes and immobilized hands, chakra couldn't be condensed, rendering him temporarily powerless.

'From now on, I vowed to never exhaust all my chakra again.'

A day later, Rodney finally gained control over his hands, and with Nojiko's assistance, he formed the chakra seal. Chakra began to condense. Half a day later, his hands formed seals at an excruciatingly slow pace: Boar, Dog, Bird, Monkey, Ram!

With a clap of my hand on the bed, black runes spread out like spiderwebs.

"Summoning Technique!"

Boom!

White smoke rose, revealing a blue and white slug less than one meter long beside the bed.

"It's our first meeting, Master Rodney!"

The slug's voice was ethereal and gentle, reminiscent of a big sister next door. It observed Rodney's injuries and asked, "You're injured. Do you require treatment? Allow me to..."

"Please heal my dark wound, although my chakra is limited," Rodney interrupted.

"Without sufficient chakra, the healing process will be slower. However, as long as you don't exhaust your chakra to the point where I can't maintain psychic surgery, it will suffice," the slug explained.

Katsuyu was more adept at healing than the summons in Mount Myoboku and Ryuchi Cave. However, her super self-healing abilities required an ample supply of chakra.

When Tsunade was cut in half, Katsuyu had to maintain the contract while healing the Five Kage, significantly reducing the speed of healing. Yet, when Tsunade recovered, Katsuyu quickly revived her on the spot.

Katsuyu's healing ability could be influenced by the contractor, but she wasn't an exceptionally powerful medic, so the impact was minimal.

"That's my dilemma. Please proceed," Rodney replied.

"Very well."

Katsuyu climbed onto his body and began the treatment. Instantly, he felt a cool sensation, as if he had quenched his thirst after being in the desert for a long time. It was akin to finding an oasis and plunging into the water.

"My chakra..." Rodney sensed that his chakra was recovering at an accelerated pace.

The slug explained, "Master Rodney, you have learned the Strength of a Hundred Sea, which resonates with my chakra. I will expedite the recovery of your chakra. Once you've mastered the Strength of a Hundred Sea, I can transmit a small amount of chakra to you."

Its chakra was beyond the capacity of ordinary individuals to sustain. The contractor could only restore a small amount of chakra; otherwise, the contractor's body wouldn't be able to endure, potentially leading to complications.

"I appreciate it. I have regained my strength." With that, Rodney began to concentrate chakra once again.

"Mr. Rodney, you... ahhh!" Nojiko and Nami burst into the room, their faces filled with shock when they saw the slug resting on Rodney's body.

Nami, being calmer, retrieved a collapsible staff from her four-dimensional pocket and swung it at the slug.

"Wait! This is not an enemy!" Seeing Nami about to strike the slug, Rodney hurriedly intervened. Nami stopped abruptly, looking at me and the slug with suspicion.

The slug turned back and said, "Please don't worry. I'm treating Lord Rodney."

"Ah! A talking bug?" Nojiko and Nami exclaimed in surprise.

While the Pirate World had its fair share of peculiar creatures, animals capable of speech were still relatively rare, especially in the East Blue. Even though Nami had spent years sailing the East Blue, she had never encountered such a remarkable creature.

Rodney explained, "The slug is my partner and is helping me with my injuries."

"I see... but bugs... they're disgusting." Nami shuddered, rubbing the goosebumps on her skin. As a "lady," she had her own pride, even though she possessed an aggressive nature and could give the Straw Hat crew's main members a run for their money. Nonetheless, she still had a ladylike side.

Upon hearing Nami's words, the slug's tentacles drooped slightly, as if feeling a bit hurt. Nami quickly realized her slip of the tongue and apologized, "I'm sorry, I'm just a little afraid of bugs."

"It's alright. It's not a problem," the slug reassured her.

"It would be better if there were female ninjas like Lady Tsunade and Sakura..." Rodney overheard the slug's thoughts.

Rodney: "..." It seemed that Katsuyu still harbored quite a bit of resentment...

However, according to Katsuyu, she wasn't solely a summon created by the system. She had a connection to the world of Naruto, and the plot might be nearly complete, at least halfway through.

So, could he reverse the psychic connection through the slug, transport himself to the Forest of Death, and then enter the world of Naruto from there?
