I Will Become Hokage in One Piece

Chapter 29: The Revelation

Chapter 29: The Revelation

Rodney looked at Kuroobi with gleaming eyes for a moment. Comparing the physical skills of the Naruto World with this world, there were many differences.

The physical skills in Naruto were highly coordinated and flexible, while the physical skills of the pirates were more straightforward and destructive. Of course, this was also due to the exceptional physical fitness of the people in this world.

But the level of destructive power was incomparable to ordinary physical arts.

The Marines' Rokushiki, Fish-Man Karate, and Hasshoken... There were many schools of physical arts, and with the perceptive abilities of Sharingan, the intricate movements could be perfectly copied. By replacing the power of muscles with chakra, it was possible to execute these physical arts with deceptive proficiency.

In other words, the power might differ from the original users, but as the body's strength and chakra continued to grow, the power would undoubtedly reach its full potential.

With this in mind, Rodney smiled, imitating Kuroobi's stance, which infuriated him. "Damn human! How dare you secretly learn our Fish-Man Karate?! I'll kill you! Fish-Man Karate: Flaming Axe Kick!"

A powerful kick was directed at Rodney.

"Fish-Man Karate: Flaming Axe Kick!"

The two simultaneously unleashed the same attack with their kicks. Kuroobi was enraged to be attacked with his own move by a human, whom he had always looked down upon.

As the owner of a black belt in Fish-Man Karate, it was a matter of pride for him. This human was trampling on his pride. He wondered which careless merfolk had taught the pride of their kind to disgusting humans, allowing them to use it against him.

"I will use the essence of Fish-Man Karate to deal with you, so that you, a mere human, understand that humans can never match merfolk!" Kuroobi declared, placing his right fist on his waist while adopting a sword posture with his left hand.

Hundred Brick Fist!

With this technique, one could break a hundred bricks with a single blow underwater, measuring the power of their punch. The resistance in the water was high, affecting even the merfolk. On land, the technique was faster due to the absence of air resistance, but its speed would decrease in the water.

"Such a stance..."

Rodney's eyes keenly observed Kuroobi's posture, capturing the movement of his muscles and channeling chakra toward his fist while assuming the same stance.

"Fish-Man Karate: Hundred Brick Fist!"

"Fish-Man Karate: Hundred Brick Fist!"

Boom!

Their fists collided with tremendous force, causing a shockwave to ripple through the area. Kuroobi and Rodney stood their ground, not retreating an inch.

The strong wind blew off tiles from the rooftop, and the surrounding trees trembled as if they would collapse at any moment. Rodney was the first to falter. After all, he had imitated the moves using Sharingan and chakra. It was an imitation, different from the genuine technique.

His right hand, which had clashed with Kuroobi, throbbed with pain, rendering it temporarily immobile.

"Damn it, I knew I should have held back a bit."

Rodney retreated and stood on top of a building. Although his right hand was temporarily incapacitated, he was satisfied to have learned a part of Fish-Man Karate.

It would take some time to recover, but for now... his gaze shifted downward, noticing Kuroobi's smug expression. This serious-minded merfolk felt a sense of superiority over Rodney, a human, in the realm of Merfolk Karate.

How naïve...

"Hmph! Humans will never be able to match Fish-Man! How can feeble humans be our opponents!" Kuroobi exclaimed.

At that moment, Arlong, Chew, and an octopus man with six arms led a group of individuals ashore.

'Hmm? Wasn't the water body supposed to hold them off? Never mind, let's just blow this place up…'

Arlong looked at Rodney with tearful eyes. "Despicable human! You used such despicable methods again, targeting my comrades! Comrades..." It seemed that the Water Body had killed many merfolk in the water.

The Water Body was designed for this specific environment. Just like a stand-in, the Shadow Clone would consume a significant amount of chakra and go to waste if killed. On the other hand, the Water Body could be disregarded after allocating a portion of the chakra.

The only downside was that it didn't retain memories. Otherwise, there would be no need for Shadow Clones.

"Oh, that's it... the Shadow Clone!"

A clone appeared beside Rodney, and his temporarily immobile right hand retrieved three shurikens from his pocket, throwing them directly. The clone also threw shurikens.

The shurikens effortlessly bypassed Arlong and the others. The small steel wires tied to the shurikens were held in their mouths, and their left hands pulled the wires back. As a result, the shurikens circled through the air, altering their trajectories and entangling several individuals.

"Huh? Does this weakling think he can restrain us merfolk?" Arlong sneered disdainfully, paying no attention to Rodney.

The Shadow Clone was sealed, with one of the steel wires clenched in its mouth!

"Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique!"

The scorching high-temperature flames burned along the steel wire, heading toward the four merfolk.

"Not good!" Arlong hastily severed the steel wire, as did Kuroobi and the octopus man, making a dash toward the pool.

However, Chew didn't follow suit. Instead, he opened his mouth and sprayed seawater, choosing to extinguish the flames with the water from his stomach.

Unfortunately, could a mere seawater extinguish high-temperature flames ignited with chakra? When the water came into contact with the flames, it evaporated in an instant.

"Ahhh!"

Chew was engulfed in flames, transforming him into a blazing torch. The pain made him uncomfortable, causing him to break free from the wire and dive into the pool.

Shortly after, Arlong, Kuroobi, and the octopus man resurfaced with Chew, who was charred on the outside and tender on the inside. Not an inch of skin on Chew's body was spared, and his hair had been completely singed.

Rodney received healing from the clone, allowing his right hand to regain movement, although he couldn't make large motions yet. Observing the critically injured Chew below, he smiled and remarked, "You overestimated yourself. The damage caused by fire is much greater than that of water."

"Human! I'm going to kill you!" This time, Arlong decided not to spectate any longer. Koruubi had already informed him underwater that this human possessed knowledge of Fish-Man Karate, and this threat had to be eliminated.

With a powerful leap, Arlong opened his mouth wide and charged toward Rodney. Rodney and his clone effortlessly dodged the attack. The building beneath Rodney's feet shattered as Arlong crashed through the wall, brandishing a jagged sword.

Kiribachi!

Observing the sword, Rodney made a move, clenching his fists, feeling that the situation was almost under control. However, he had to engage in guerrilla tactics against Arlong. His chakra supply was still sufficient, but caution was necessary when facing merfolk.

Arlong bent his legs and exerted force, resembling a torpedo launched by a submarine, sprinting forward and swinging his sword downward.

Shark on Darts!

"Leaf Dragon God!"

Rodney's body spun, generating a dragon-shaped whirlwind that collided with Aaron's knife, instantly sending him flying and plunging into the sea.

The Shadow Clone rushed toward Koruubi.

"Wind Release: Vacuum Sphere!"

Invisible air bullets pummeled Crooby's body, causing him intense pain as several bloodied holes appeared on his arms and chest. Blood trickled from his wounds.

"How is this possible? What kind of ability is this?" Many of Wind Style's attacks were invisible. Without the ability to sense chakra like the Haki or Sharingan, or a chakra perception technique, techniques like Vacuum Sphere posed a great threat to this group of individuals.

"It's an ability that will bring about your demise!" the Shadow Clone declared in a low voice. However, at that moment, the waves surged, and droplets of water shot toward the clone like bullets.

Compared to the main body, the Shadow Clone was more vulnerable. Even a small attack could cause it to dissipate, and these water droplets would eliminate it instantly upon impact.

Arlong emerged from the sea unscathed, as he was the one who launched the attack earlier.

Gathering a handful of seawater as if grasping an object, he said, "Let me show you the true power of a merfolk!" The water slipped through his fingers, forming large water droplets.

"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"

The flames burned away the water droplets, turning them into vapor, forcing Arlong to dodge. Rodney asked, "What did you just say?"
