I Spread my Genes to Level Up in the Apocalypse

Chapter 220: Going back to the Realm of Dead

Haven't fixed grammar...

Time passed in the blink of an eye and countless days have already gone by with Ray just passing his time in a chilled manner.

"He has finally gotten a lot stronger." Ray looked at the screen but simply shook his head, "but not enough."

Then he stood up from his throne and walked away disappointed.

Compared to his own growth speed, William's growth could be monstrous however it wasn't really static because all he could kill were normal animals and his level after a certain point took too long to increase by just killing this normal animal.

This wasn't a game world, just normal earth although it had ferocious beasts but they were all weakling compared to superhuman.

So William after reaching a certain point had to slaughter a thousand reaching upto millions to even level up for a single bit.

Making it extremely time consuming for him to gain more strength.

At this point he could probably bend and destroy steel with his sheer strength but that was all he could do.

Nothing special was about that, even normal humans could do so and he could with just a few bullets to his head.

"Well, I am disheartened to see such a protagonist. Sigh, it's very lonely at the top."

Ray chuckled and went to see his daughters and son's.

As for Williams, he was walking through the lush jungle with dark circles around his eyes. Killing animals as he went by, but no matter how much he killed, he couldn't get any stronger.

"Help! Me!" He roared tilting to the sky.

[Why are you shouting so loud?]

"At this rate, I will never be able to kill that monster called Ray, in fact any random guy with a laser blaster could obliterate me to ashes so please help me."

William wailed, seeking help desperately. Tears started to appear in his face, slowly gushing out of his eyes.

[Human you are weak…]

"That's why, makes me stronger." he bowed to the ground, "I need power to slaughter that villain."

[You need to kill more creatures then]

"How many have I killed already?" William asked "How many shall I kill before this is over?"

[Hmm, I can teleport you to Mars where there are stronger creatures then?]

"You can do that?"

[Yeah]

"Why didn't you tell me before?"

[You didn't ask]

"..."

Soon, William saw a tear in space and he walked right into it with an excited expression.

The moment he entered, a sharp pain rang through his head and his head started to tear itself apart.

Blood gushed rapidly and a pop resounded, William's headless body fell to the ground of Mars, completely motionless and veins popping all over his body.

His brain matter littered the ground in a grotesque scene worthy of censorship.

William was deader than dead!

[Oh, well he is dead]

The shadow inside him spoke, [What a useless human]

Then darkness sapped all the light from the place, from this darkness countles hair appeared and covered all his body before he completely swallowed him to the abyss.

After an hour or so, the unconscious figure of William slowly fell to the ground from the same darkness.

Then his eyes slowly opened to wake up to a dusty surrounding.

"Where… Where am I?" William touched his bed with his mind flaring in pain.

[You have entered Mars, now you can do so as you wish]

"Okay."

He nodded his head, tentatively looking around the place.

Of course all this scene couldn't escape the eyes of Ray, this entire dimension belonged to him and almost everything that happened couldn't escape his eyes.

As long as he wanted to, he could even see inside the black of his own dimension.

"This is very interesting."

Ray thought in his heart with excitement, the only reason he hasn't killed this annoying little dust was because of the being inside him.

He has already gained the insight of using stamina instead of Mutation energy and now he has gotten something even more.

"The realm of the dead…"

Ray touched his chin, you see his dimension had an extremely uncompleted realm of dead and those living who die have to travel a long distance of going out of his dimension to the realm of dead in the Milky way to reach it.

Soul is always eternal and can never be destroyed, just like energy which is imperishable they can be converted but not destroyed.

He was always curious about the coordinates of how these souls left because he also wanted to go back to the realm of the dead again but couldn't find it so easily.

This thing was still a mystery to him and Ray liked to uncover it. Unfortunately there might be a universal being waiting for him the moment he gets out even if it wasn't there, Ray would be a fool if he didn't consider that there wasn't any backhand or setup it set.

But William being revived by the shadow of that being allowed him to glimpse upon its secret for once and allow him to find the coordinates of it.

"Should I go there?"

Ray squinted his eyes, thoughtfully. In this ground room equipped with all the assistance and an elevated throne, he was the only one here.

Then his figure slowly started to vanish from the place seemingly turning into dust from his legs and ascending upwards to his head, he completely disappeared from the place.

Merging with the sky of Earth and quickly leaving Earth into outer space.

There wasn't much to see in his dimension except for the sun and some of the planets with the black hole in the middle of it, otherwise everything was an empty expanse except for some stray debris in the place.

After just a few minutes, Ray slowly appeared in one corner of his dimension. There seemed to be still space after this but as Ray slowly extended his finger, there was some resistance.

This was the end of his dimension.

Unlike the universe itself which was expanding ever so slightly in millions of years, Ray's dimension didn't have such a benefit, it was always at a fixed state.

"Sigh, I still need to be strong if I want to beat that universal being."

Ray sighed with a quiver, actually in these past eight years his strength is constantly improving but he wasn't sure he could beat such a being.

"Maybe I need a skill which can Increase my attributes?" This thought immediately aroused in his heart as his pupils started to shine in a mixture of golden and crimson.

Slowly an invisible line appeared in his mind, this was the connection he had seen when William was being revived by the shadow.

Then he walked forward, the walls of his dimension curving allowing him to exit.

Revealing an eerie nothingness, this was the same nothingness that Ray first experienced with his Space Mastery skill.

This nothing was something that is gotten when the fragments of reality, space, are broken.

Entering this, Ray was completely unaffected by the nothingness as he followed the line before he eventually arrived in front of a barrier again.

Even without entering this place, Ray could feel the distinct difference of this void of nothingness and the familiar darkness from the shadow realm.

"Can I break it?" Ray thought but didn't let his intrusive thoughts overcome his heart there was no need to do something that was entirely unnecessary and get in trouble for it.

He slowly closed his eyes and the used the attribute of Necromancy in his Mutation Energy and connected it to the realm of dead, in his own dimension he couldn't feel the realm of dead even if he tried to but after reaching right before it, his connection has become stronger than ever.

At this moment, his entire physical body entered the realm of death.

Ray opened his eyes to it, looking around the place.

His True Eyes shining with a glint.

If he looked normal he would see this realm of death as normal as before however…

"Those are…"

Ray widened his eyes, his hair stood on ends as if he electrified.

In the distant horizon he could see giant beings, the size of planets, all emitted the presence of Peak Planetary beings and they stretched as far as the eyes could reach.

"Hundred… thousand… million… billions…"

Ray involuntarily felt a chill down his spine. Explore new worlds at empire

There were billions of Peak Planetary beings here, for a moment he thought that the Universal being arrived with her army but after looking deeply it wasn't actually the case.

"These are all dead stars." He muttered in his heart "And they are all sleeping."

"Why… are… you… here?"

A deep voice rang behind Ray making him turn around.

"Oh, it's nice to meet you again Mr. Grim reaper." Ray replied with a smile.

"Human… you… not… welcomed… here… anymore…"

"Does that mean our previous contract is void?" Ray's eyes narrowed.
