Chapter 7
Chapter 7: Just Go for It!
Devil of Angel is a national game enjoyed by countless people.
However, paradoxically, the majority of people do not ‘directly’ play the game.
The reason is simple.
‘It’s expensive. Way too much.’
The device costs over ten million won, and even with a discount, it still ranges from five to six million won.
In computer terms, it boasts performance equivalent to a high-end spec.
Therefore, most users opt to use gaming centers, but since the game costs 7,000 won per hour to play, not many people actually enjoy it.
Because of this, only a small number of players enjoyed the game in its early days, but thanks to various discounts and gaming center events, the number of concurrent players in Korea alone recently reached 400,000.
And those who couldn’t be among that 400,000 found another place.
That place was streaming broadcasts.
Even if they couldn’t play the game themselves, they could watch streams to experience it vicariously and flood online communities with game-related discussions.
Among those communities, one of the largest was the ‘Devil of Angel Gallery.’
Also known as ‘DeoEn Gal,’ this community had a new hot topic posted.
[Today’s Insane Character Customization jpg.]
Author: DdoiDdoi
(A picture of a blue-haired woman staring at the camera.)
Brought today’s best character customization.
Is this even possible? For real, I upload character customization pictures all the time, but I’ve never seen anything like this before.
This is insane ;;

─?
─?????
─Holy crap.
─This is insane. She’s ridiculously pretty.
└ For real.
└ That shouldn’t be possible. The chest alone makes no sense, right?
└ The face is one thing, but the body is just absurd. How does that even work? You can’t get that size in the game.
└ Did they mod something in?
└ Nope, I checked both side and front views, and it’s highly likely legit.
─ Absolute top-tier customization.
└ But they’re a newbie.
└ ? How do you know?
└ They showed up on Yena’s stream. A level 7 total newbie.
└ What the hell is that, you weeb?
└ If you don’t know Yena, why are you even in DeoEn?
└ For real, lol.
└ Isn’t Yena washed up now?
[Yena is hunting down the newbie with insane customization, lol.]
Author: Yenataang
Looking for the newbie with the god-tier customization from earlier.
Been searching for an hour, used up all my speed stats, but they left only traces and disappeared, lol.
Yena got so pissed she started swearing nonstop. It’s hilarious, lmao.

─ LOOOOOL
─ But honestly, it’s worth it.
└ For real.
└ Agreed.
└ I’d be hunting them down too. No way I’d give up, lol.
─ But why do people keep bringing streaming content into DeoEn Gal?
└ Yeah, just keep it in the streaming gallery.
└ Ah, lol, but this is a newbie controversy. How can we not discuss it?
└ From today, this place belongs to Ye-natang! This place belongs to Ye-natang! This place belongs to Ye-natang! This place belongs to Ye-natang! This place belongs to Ye-natang! This place belongs to Ye-natang! This place belongs to Ye-natang! This place belongs to Ye-natang!
└ Shut up and leave.
─ Ye-natang is undeniable.
While some were cursing and others were laughing,
“I have a lot to do…”
Crunch!
The actual subject of the controversy was just busy hunting.
■
I found a quiet hunting ground with no people.
The reason was simple.
I was drawing too much attention.
Every time I did something, people would whisper, and even though I couldn’t hear them, I could tell they were frequently trying to take pictures.
They thought they were doing it secretly, but to a Celestial-Hybrid like me, secrecy didn’t exist.
This insane race had already surpassed human visual perception.
“It feels like it’s getting worse somehow.”’
The experience wasn’t unfamiliar to the point of being awkward.
Rather, it was something I was used to.
But I had never been surrounded to this extent before.
Back in my possession, people would only whisper.
And half of those whispers were about Celestials.
Right now, it was purely about my appearance.
I picked up a spear with no engravings or effects.
A group of strange monsters approached from the front.
Since it was a fantasy game, I expected goblins or orcs.
But instead, they looked like weird, brown, fried shrimp.
The monsters ran on two legs, holding branch-like weapons in their hands.
For reference, their tails, which resembled shrimp tails, were actually their heads.
“Hoo.”
I pulled my spear-holding hand slightly back and twisted the spear shaft a little.
Then, I thrust it forward.
As the tip of the spear touched the monster’s body—
Splat!
The fried shrimp exploded with a popping sound.
Its corpse fell to the ground, and the other charging fried shrimp hesitated.
“Hm? Why’d you stop?”
They didn’t come any closer.
When I rested my spear on my shoulder and grinned,
The trembling fried shrimp threw down its branch and started running away.
I activated one of my skills.
A skill I could use after reaching level 10, and one of the three skills I currently had.
‘Dash.’
It had a cooldown of 10 seconds and allowed for a fast sprint forward.
It didn’t seem all that useful.
Splat!
‘Running normally is faster.’
I lazily stabbed my spear into the ground and collected the loot.
This was when I truly felt the "game-like" aspects of this world.
Killing a fried shrimp dropped something called "Dissolved Demon’s Mucus."
The world I was possessed in had skills and racial abilities, but it didn’t drop items like this.
If you killed an orc and pulled out its teeth, they were just orc teeth.
If you hunted a dragon and took its scales, they were just dragon scales.
There was no nonsense like some random mucus appearing out of nowhere.
On top of that, money dropped, too.
Did monsters actually carry money around?
“Huff… Huff… I finally found you!”
“?”
Had I focused too much on hunting?
The assassin woman I had been casually shaking off had caught up.
She muttered something happily while looking at the camera,
Then suddenly cleared her throat and spoke.
“Ah, do you have a moment? It’s nothing weird—I just want to help—”
“Do you feel fatigue in real life when you get tired in the game?”
“Huh?”
The woman froze for a moment.
She looked as if she had malfunctioned.
Was that such a difficult question?
“Hello?”
“Ah, ah! Uh, it’s not exactly like real fatigue. There’s this thing called stamina. When it depletes, um…”
She rambled incoherently while glancing sideways.
She was probably checking her chat.
So even fatigue could be felt here.
I had already confirmed that pain was limited to a certain extent.
Would mental effects also be restricted?
It would be troublesome if I encountered demons.
At that moment, I recalled the first day I met a demon, and my brow furrowed.
It wasn’t anything special.
Just the realization that while Celestials were overpowered, demons were even more so.
That day, I felt so down that I skipped my official schedule and locked myself in my room, eating fruit.
“Uh… S-sorry!”
“Huh?”
The woman suddenly apologized.
Had she done something worth apologizing for?
She didn’t seem to feel guilty about following me around earlier.
Now that I thought about it, it probably was something that could make me angry.
Alright, I should make things clear now.
From the start, I had been constantly attracting attention, being recorded, and dealing with other annoying things.
If I used this streaming opportunity to tell people to stop approaching me like this, maybe the interest would lessen.
Since she seemed fairly popular, it might have some influence.
Just as I was about to say that—
“This is a token of my apology!”
With the woman’s gesture, a massive pouch of gold coins dropped in front of me.
"?"
Before I knew it, I was holding the pouch of gold coins.
■
Was it because she was too excited after barely finding me after two hours?
Or was it because her stamina was drained, and her brain stopped functioning?
There were several reasons why things turned out this way.
First, she was initially shocked to find out that not only was my appearance overpowered, but my voice was beautiful as well.
Second, she was caught off guard when I suddenly asked if getting tired in the game made you feel tired in real life.
However, aside from that, Yena actually felt happy.
Judging by the question, the woman in front of her was definitely a newbie who didn’t know about DeoEn.
Raising a newbie had its own kind of fun.
But she had pushed too hard, and now I had a hardened expression with a clear look of displeasure.
Cold sweat dripped down Yena’s face.
Even though she was a streamer with four years of experience, the number of viewers watching her right now was quite high.
17,230.
A number comparable to her prime.
The realization hit her hard—if this ended badly, she would get completely trashed, and her already declining career would sink even further.
The chat was already going wild.
One thought filled her mind.
‘Just give it!’
It’s a newbie discovery!
Then just go all-in and see what happens!
…And that’s how this situation was created.
[?]
[? Is she insane?]
[LOOOOOOOL]
[LMAO this is hilarious]
[She straight-up just threw money at them, wtf]
[How much did she even give? LOL]
[That’s Yena for you. Reliable performance as always.]
[Even her flustered face is ridiculously pretty.]
[What’s up with her voice…]
