Diether only had time to glance at a couple of pages within the book before Mapan offered to show his collection of Magic Weapons.

Of course, this excited him and Yasmin as they immediately agreed. Even though he already passed the Hunter Examination, he still had to wait for his license card to arrive before he can have access to the Association's Storage.

In short, this will be his first time observing them. At most, he had seen them in the book when he was still studying in the city.

"Alright. But remember not to touch them..."

Diether had limited knowledge about these weapons created by special Arcanists. The only thing he remembers about them was the thickness of the energy emanating around the weapons would correspond to the strength it could give to its wielder. In short, the stronger the energy the better.

Diether observed them closely. He had seen an Arcana before and he could easily tell their difference. Magic Weapons emits the so-called spiritual energy while Arcanas emits mystical energy.

About his master or the shinai, he still believes that it was some kind of a Cursed Arcana since it was sentient and it also loves to consume blood. So he didn't count Reiji as a good sample for comparison.

Anyway, Diether noticed that there were names written at a small signboard near the Magic Weapons.

[ Panther Short Blade IV

A stealthy blade made from Arcean Steel and the Core of the Haranian Panther of Mesonji Valley.

Magic Weapons also had their ranks. A 'Class A+' is the highest rank that was normally created by the 1st Class Arcanists and 'Class F' that were normally made by Arcanist who doesn't even have a Class yet.

Those Class F were normally Magic Weapons or Magic Equipments with barely passable quality. They could be used in training but not recommended to be used in real battles.

The short blade has a jagged, curved cross-guard, that adds weight to the blade for a better weight balance, as well as offering hand protection during battle. The cross-guard has an elaborate panther head on each side, the cost of this weapon must have been high based on its design.

The thick pommel is also decorated with a precious gem…

"It looks like a decorative weapon…"

Yasmin was the one who said that. As someone who uses a dagger as her main weapon, she read a lot about them including short blades and swords.

Diether hadn't thought about that until Yasmin mentioned.

It indeed seems something to be decorated on a noble's waist. Anyway, as long as it was an effective weapon, Diether doesn't really mind what they look like. That was the main reason he picked up the bamboo sword anyway.

The length was about 200 centimeters and Diether couldn't see how the core was used in this weapon since he can only see a simple wooden staff in front of him.

This staff widens greatly at both ends but makes sure to be thin enough in the middle to form a handle, which has been strengthened and polished.

There were two more Magic Weapons, it was a Half-Moon Blade and a Refined Murloc Armguard.

Both were created by a 4th Class Arcanist and were rated as Rank D. They cost 90 gold coins and 85 gold coins respectively.

However, since the armguard comes in pair, it would cost the buyer for twice the amount or 170 gold coins.

Anyway, the pricing of the weapon didn't just depend on their Class rating but their usefulness or effectiveness as well.

Diether was glad to see the weapons and their information on display. After all, unlike the Arcana, Magic Weapons doesn't have that mysterious link to inform their wielder about their status.

One could only have a vague idea about them through Spiritual Energy's feedback if they were scanned using the energy. However, it may still be inaccurate so learning the information about its components from its creator was still the best option.

After spending more than half an hour within the stall, the two went back to the inn. Yasmin still has to help in serving meals and Diether also wanted to take a rest since his master allowed him to have a break today.

It wasn't easy to have such a day.

Reiji was also curious to see the Magic Weapons a while ago. However, he wasn't that impressed after seeing them since he could vaguely feel their inferiority.

He couldn't understand the feeling he felt but he was sure that his appearance as a Common Rank Arcana had something to do with it.
