I Ran Away And The Reverse Harem Started

Chapter 28

Chapter 28 Daniel was greatly shaken by Lucas’ seductive words. Lucas didn’t miss that small change and immediately opened his mouth. “I saw the dress design, too. Cherry blossom color, lace, cute, right? Roan, that guy looks like he has been working on it. I bet she’s wearing makeup for the first time in her life.” “…….” “I also gave Rosie a bracelet made of amethyst that matched her eyes. They said she’s going to part her hair in half and put it in a braid….” Daniel was silent for a moment. It was the same with Colin. The two men closed their mouths and stared into space, as if imagining something. “So… I think it would be okay to take a look at it once, right?” “Colin… Even you.” “There’s still plenty of time, Daniel.”Daniel checked his pocket watch. Sure enough, there was still about half an hour before the scheduled departure time, but… Daniel looked at his brothers again. They stared at Daniel as if asking permission. Ugh. With those two pairs of glowing eyes and the image of Rosieta dressed up in his head, Daniel lost his nerve. In the end, he declared defeat. “Okay… just 10 minutes.” “Good!” Lucas jumped up. Rosieta was just upstairs getting dressed, so it was easy to get to her. Thump thump thump. Lucas excitedly climbed the stairs two at a time, followed by Daniel and Colin. “Rosie!” Lucas arrived at the guest room on the third floor first and opened the door. Daniel was shocked behind him. “What if the door bursts open while she’s getting dressed inside?” “That’s right, Lucas. You have to be careful.” Colin also helped. But Lukas, who had flung the door open like a bully, was speechless. “Lucas, what’s wrong?” Colin asked, puzzled. The two brothers looked at each other and then walked up behind Lucas. Through the open door, they could see the inside of the guest room and the back of a woman sitting in front of the dressing table. Her red curly hair, which reached her waist, was neatly tied in half, small jewels were visible between the hairs, and white, slender forearms and an amethyst bracelet were visible under the sleeves that fell from her shoulders. Roan, who was next to Rosieta, clicked his tongue. “Your youngest brother needs to be taught etiquette again. Open the door quietly, you little brat.” Roan scolded him, but no one really listened to his advice. Rosieta turned around belatedly due to the commotion. The fine hair that normally fell on her forehead was neatly pushed back, allowing her round forehead and neat eyebrows to come into view. Long eyelashes and clear purple eyes thanks to makeup. The two rosy cheeks were like peaches ripened in the summer sun. Rosieta smiled with her small red lips. “You’re here?” “…….” The three brothers could not easily keep their mouths shut. They kept their eyes fixed on her and their mouths tightly shut as if they were speechless. * * * ‘I don’t even know why they’re doing this.’ After all the maids had left, Roan and I came out through the back door, hiding our faces with a wide-brimmed white hat. Apparently, when I saw the three brothers briefly before coming out, they looked at me with blank faces, as if they had seen a ghost. It’s as if they saw something they shouldn’t see.Even Lucas, who burst into the room triumphantly, couldn’t utter a single word properly… ‘Well, It’s not unreasonable to be surprised.’ The three of them weren’t the only ones who looked awkward in their new outfits. I tousled my curly hair awkwardly. My red hair, which was usually frizzy as if I had just woken up, fell over my shoulders thanks to the use of perfumed oil and a hot iron. In addition, Roan even gave me the latest trendy makeup in addition to a pack that is said to be popular among noble ladies. ‘It wasn’t just ordinary products, and the products were no joke.’ I put on a pack of honey and took a bath for two hours in the bathroom attached to Roan’s room. Thanks to this, I had enough experience as a noble daughter. As I hesitated to put on the high-heeled shoes I didn’t usually wear, Roan stretched out his arm to me. “Take it, Lady.” “…….” I stared at Roan for a moment, then threw my arms around him like I couldn’t resist. Roan must have noticed my nervous expression, and I heard a low laugh above my head. I don’t know if he’s mocking or what, but he seems to find this situation quite amusing. He whispered in my ear. “Why don’t you calm down. It’s not like I’m going to eat you… I guess you hate me because of our conversation that night.” “Well, I won’t deny it.” I shrugged my shoulders proudly. He was the one who said to me outright last night, ‘You are harmful to Daniel, so disappear,’ so there was no way I was going to make him look good by embellishing a little. Roan burst out laughing as I pursed my lips in a pout. “Still, I felt sorry and worked hard for you. Don’t you like it? Those three brothers couldn’t keep their mouths shut.” “It was definitely the work of someone who led the capital’s fashion in its heyday. Thanks to you, I get to play like a princess.” “And yet, you’re still pouting your lips like a duck’s snout, so I’m guessing you’re offended.” “Oh, never mind, I’m a bit of a tightwad.” I didn’t hide my displeasure with Roan. Not that Roan of all people would care about my feelings. Roan took me to a small carriage hidden at the foot of the mountain behind the Count’s residence. He escorted me and followed me into the carriage. While Daniel and his two brothers left in a carriage in front of the front gate, attracting everyone’s attention, Roan and I decided to sneak out the back gate and join them in the capital.“Are you nervous?” “No. I don’t think I’m going to be nervous when the day comes.” “It’s nice that you don’t look like that.” I took off my wide-brimmed hat that completely covered my face and looked at Roan, who was sitting across from me. Soon the carriage departed. Neither I nor Roan had anything to say because we ran out of things to say. The carriage was quiet. The carriage passed leisurely from the Count’s residence. The tall plane trees on both sides of the narrow road passed by quickly. Perhaps the carriage carrying the three brothers was also heading towards the capital’s royal palace using a different route. ‘I never thought time would pass so quickly.’ Who would have thought that I, who came into this house as a maid, would dress up in a luxurious dress and attend the party as the male protagonist’s partner. Who would have guessed? As I was looking out the window, filled with emotion, Roan quietly opened his mouth. “Miss Jensen.”When I looked away, he closed his sharp eyes and smiled. Now his smile has become annoying to me. “I’m on Daniel’s side, so I’m looking out for his comfort, but….” “…….” “I hope you don’t forget my advice.” If there was a scoundrel wearing a gentleman’s clothes, it would be Roan. He warned me with a grin.  * * *  We arrived at a small cafe near the Royal Palace. It was one of Daniel’s businesses, but it wasn’t open yet, so there wasn’t a single person in or around the cafe. It was the perfect place to secretly meet someone. Roan finished his work and as soon as he dropped me off the carriage, he went back to his home. I opened the cafe door as Roan had instructed. Then a familiar face greeted me. “Miss Rosieta.” “Saint Deborah?” I opened my eyes wide and looked at Deborah. She wore a modest lime-green dress, her hair pulled back into a single braid. Despite the light makeup, it didn’t hide her gorgeous beauty. In fact, the lime green dress seemed to be the calyx that supported her. I approached Deborah with genuine admiration. “I see the saint was supposed to meet her partner here too.” “Yes, I suggested it, and I didn’t want to be the only one left out.” Deborah grinned. I was just happy to see her, but then something occurred to me and I added hastily. “But I’m sorry, saint. Have you found a partner?” Daniel and Deborah decided to attend the party, turning each other into partners to defy the king’s demands. So, I became Daniel’s partner. In that case, Deborah would also need another partner to enjoy the party with. When I ask, Deborah glances lazily out the window. Through the small window of the café, I could see the carriage Deborah was riding in. “He stayed over there. He said he was waiting over there until I came back from meeting the Count.” “Ah, you have it.” I was worried that she might not be able to find a partner on her own, but it was fortunate. ‘Wait. If the heroine refuses the king’s request, who’s going to be there to hear it with her?’ I had been offered debt forgiveness by Daniel, but I doubted that Deborah, being as frugal as she was, would have used money to get a partner like Daniel. Just as I was looking at her with a puzzled expression, the cafe door opened and the three brothers appeared. The three appeared with their usual expressions, but when they made eye contact with me, they flinched for a moment. ‘There’s no need to be so openly surprised.’ Well, compared to Deborah, who shines like a star even with simple makeup, I’m not good enough, but I spent over 3 hours getting ready, so even if the effort was virtual, it’s worth looking at. As I glared at the three men with a shocked expression, Daniel cleared his throat loudly with a strange blush on his face. Then he turned his gaze to Deborah. “The saint has already arrived.” “Yes, preparations were completed quickly so we arrived early.” When Deborah smiled at Daniel, Daniel quickly returned to his calm expression. “Then the four of us will go in the carriage together. The saint’s partner is…” “He stayed in the carriage I came with.” “I see.” Daniel nodded. After Deborah returned to the carriage after checking the strategy again, I looked out the window with curious eyes. If I kept looking, I thought I might catch a glimpse of Deborah’s partner, but unfortunately, I couldn’t see him, it seemed that he was sitting deep in the carriage. ‘Who the hell is that guy? The person who suddenly joined such a big operation… Is it one of Deborah’s admirers?’
