I Possessed the Heroine’s Teacher

Chapter 49

There is a torture method called the White Room Torture. It involves placing a person in a room with white walls, a white ceiling, a white bed, and white fluorescent lights. Everything in the room is white. It is said that if you lock someone in such a room, their self and sanity will slowly crumble.

I’m rambling about this because I’m currently undergoing this torture.

No matter how much I pound and hit the walls, they don’t budge. This torture was first implemented in Iran, where it was used on journalists who opposed the regime. What grudge do these bastards have against me that they’re doing this to me?

At that moment, a familiar voice came from behind me.

“You’re putting on quite a show.”

I turned around, wondering who the hell would dare to say such a thing.

For a moment, I thought I was looking at myself in a mirror. Standing there was none other than Werner. So this bastard was still alive.

Could it be… that he’s come to punish me for possessing his body and having sex with Glacies? He’s here to condemn NTR. Yes, those who attempt NTR should have their limbs torn apart and thrown into a field of shit.

But when I think about it, it’s a bit unfair. NTR is when you have sex with someone else’s woman, but Werner is the one who abandoned Glacies in the first place. He left her then, and now he’s complaining that it’s a shame? He doesn’t want to have her himself, but he doesn’t want to give her to anyone else? This bastard’s mindset is just as trashy as those who commit NTR.

It’s the responsibility of the person who made the mess to clean it up, and it’s the responsibility of the person who made the trash to beat it up. I swung my fist at Werner.

But Werner effortlessly blocked my punch with a single finger. How can a wizard be so strong?

“Shut up. The thoughts echoing in your head are also reaching my ears. Do you know how annoying it is to have a sane person like me hearing such thoughts?”

Does he think he’s some kind of fortune teller who can read my mind?

“You’re at it again with your weird thoughts. It’s really annoying and irritating.”

Werner scratched his long hair and sighed. His expression seemed to say that everything in the world was a bother, and that he would just live his life as he pleased… There was no doubt that it was Werner himself.

Werner stared at me for a moment before speaking.

“Do you think that by having such cheerful and carefree thoughts, you can become that kind of person?”

“…What?”

“There are people like that, of course. They pretend to be knowledgeable despite being ignorant, or they force themselves to act cheerful despite their gloomy nature, or they show off the manners and etiquette they’ve picked up, trying to act like someone they’re not.”

“That’s enough.”

“Aren’t you one of them? By pretending to be a carefree person, by having such thoughts… you’re deluding yourself into thinking that you’re actually like that.”

“You son of a bitch.”

I broke Werner’s arm that was blocking my fist and grabbed his neck, throwing him to the ground. I didn’t want to use the skills I had learned, but Werner had crossed the line.

“Why are you doing this? You who don’t even have a name given by your parents.”

“The same goes for you, you bastard.”

“Yes, both you and I were given names at the ‘facility’.”

“How much do you know, you bastard?”

Most of the people who knew about my childhood are dead. In fact, most of them were killed by me, so Werner couldn’t possibly know. And how could a game character…

“You know about me, so why shouldn’t I know about you?”

“Shut up, you short-lived bastard.”

“Why should it be like that? Number 204.”

“You son of a bitch…”

This bastard really knew everything.

Werner clapped his hands and teleported behind me again. Well, it’s not really teleportation, but a complicated magic that disintegrates his body into magical particles and then reconstructs it at the desired location.

I glared at Werner, and he looked back at me with disdain.

“Your old identification number was 204, your name was Baek Sa, and your Akasic Magician Record ID was whitesnake204? I envy your simplicity.”

“A guy who liked married women and died a virgin.”

“And you named yourself ‘Two Hundred’ because you liked a girl with the number 200? You should work on your naming skills a bit.”

“A guy who liked married women, trampled on the heart of a girl who liked him, and died a virgin.”

“And now you’re living like a bum, it’s really pathetic.”

“A guy who liked married women, trampled on the heart of a girl who liked him, broke the hearts of his brother and sisters, and died a virgin.”

Invisible arrows were piercing both Werner and me. War always brings harm to both sides, and such a war of attrition only leads to mutual loss.

Werner scowled and sighed. This guy’s personality is truly disgusting.

“Let’s stop this… it’s like spitting in our own faces if we continue like this.”

“What are you talking about? Spitting in our own faces? I’m not a virgin like you anymore.”

How dare this virgin compare himself to me? I’m a man who shared his virginity with a beauty like Glacies. He’s just trying to force a draw because he’s lacking in that department. That’s why I hate gamblers.

“I’m not talking about that… I’m saying that we both have the same soul.”

“But the soul of a virgin and a man are different.”

“Sigh… I’m saying that you’re my reincarnation.”

“What?”

I was certain that I was the reincarnation of a great man, but now I’m supposed to be the reincarnation of this dirty-minded wizard? No man would easily believe that.

“You’re lying.”

“If it’s not a lie, how can you explain the fact that I know your life inside out?”

“Now that you mention it, it makes sense.”

Okay, I believe you. I am your reincarnation. If I was the reincarnation of a wizard, I should have been able to use magic in the real world… With that power, I could have become a god in the new world. What’s the point of telling me this now, you virgin bastard?

“You can’t use magic in your world, so stop your delusions.”

Becoming a god in the new world? That’s just madness. In the end, he would have suffered a lifetime of pain as a human instrument. It’s much more fun and beneficial to live as a department store owner.

Werner took out something that looked like a cigar from his pocket and started smoking it. But no matter how I smelled it, it wasn’t tobacco or a cigar. That means… could this bastard be… a genius wizard who takes drugs?

“It’s just a pain-relieving herb, so stop acting up.”

But did Werner smoke in the original story? He was too young in the first installment, and I never saw him smoking in the second one. I hope he didn’t smoke near Iris, because secondhand smoke is an unforgivable enemy.

“Would I smoke near my disciple? I quit when I took on Iris, so stop having weird thoughts.”

“Oh, I see.”

I must have misunderstood. Of course, secondhand smoke is an evil that should never be tolerated, and Werner, the great wizard who upholds justice, wouldn’t do such a thing.

But when did he quit smoking? When he took on Iris at the age of 17?

“I started smoking when I was 14. That’s when I started drinking too.”

A great wizard who upholds justice, my ass. This underage bastard was a juvenile delinquent who drank and smoked. I’m really disappointed in this squad leader… or rather, in myself.

“Why did you start smoking? Why did you think the world was full of fools and that you were the only smart one?”

These are typical symptoms of a middle school syndrome, and they’re all curable.

“It’s not like that… I told you, it’s for pain relief. That’s why I drank too.”

“What?”

“You know what I’m talking about. The pain has subsided to some extent now, but it used to be unbearable.”

Oh, that’s what he’s talking about.

“Your magic circuits inside your body were completely destroyed?”

“Yes, back then, every day was filled with pain. So I had no choice but to resort to those things.”

No one ever told me about this setting, probably because it involved smoking and drinking, which didn’t pass the censorship. This guy is truly a saint. I want to punch him in the face because of his annoying attitude.

Werner, whose magic circuits inside his body were destroyed, had difficulty using grand magic in the second installment. Among those circuits, the one that functioned as a cooling agent in a machine completely lost its function. But the explanation was too brief, so I didn’t know the details either. There was only a brief mention that he was injured while trying to save Iris.

After finishing his cigar, Werner quietly began to tell his story.

“Where should I start? Can I skip the real childhood story?”

“Yes, I don’t want to hear about a man’s childhood either.”

Skipping the prologue is a virtue.
