Chapter 356: Teaming on Stark? Nuh Uh! Heaven's Spear!
Before everyone's cautious gazes, Stark lifted his arm, an explosive aura emerging from his body.
"Heaven's Spear," he whispered, pointing at the sky, "Angel of the Spear, come to my rescue."
A rift tore through the sky, turning it into a golden color, and from it emerged a giant figure.
Stark's arm stayed raised, the massive angelic figure above him radiating an overwhelming aura.
Its form towered over the battlefield, its colossal spear resting easily in one hand.
[What do you wish for me to do, master?]
The angel spoke, his voice loud and thunderous as he had the spear in hand, ready to throw it.
"If I ever say the word 'GO', then launch it, and if they try to attack me, throw it as well," he instructed, and the angel nodded.
All of the participants now knew they couldn't act out.
Even if they killed Stark in one blow, the angel would still throw the spear, and there was no saying whether any of their barriers could block it.
"I'll inform you of three things," he raised of his fingers while pointing at monsters and participants.
But before he could continue what he was about to say, a panel appeared in front of him.
[To make it fair, we'll inform you that "Follower" has the "Skill Canceller" item, meaning he can cancel your "Heaven's Spear" if he uses it.]
Stark made sure to keep his expression neutral, but turned his pupils toward Follower, who seemed like he wanted to grab the [Skill Canceller] from his system inventory.
"!!!" Stark knew this was bad, and he hadn't expected anything like that.
But now that he did know, he wasn't about to let it slide.
"Clone Frenzy," he whispered, a singular clone, the only one he could summon because of the cooldown, appearing.
Then he whispered a single instruction to it: use [Crimson Ball Transmission] to do what needs to be done.
The clone nodded, throwing the crimson ball, and setting it right behind Follower.
'Now wait.'
The clone kneeled down, it's crimson body waiting for the opportunity it sought.
"Back to what I was saying," Stark repeated, "I'll inform you of three things."
"First of all, the angel above me can't miss his shot, no matter, so don't even think of escaping to somewhere else," as a proof, he displayed the status panels for the [Heaven's Spear] perk.
[Heaven's Spear (Ultimate Form): : Upon activation, a colossal rift tears open in the sky, revealing a towering angelic figure, nearly 50 kilometers in height. With a slow, deliberate motion, the angel summons an immense spear of pure crimson energy, large enough to obliterate mountains with ease.]
Everyone gulped as they saw it, and even the people outside the trial could feel the sheer aura of that thing.
"Second of all, the spear does enough damage to instantly evaporate you, no amount of defense could save you, I believe even a level 850 or 900 classifier would get instantly killed," yet again, he spoke the truth, not needing any proof this time for everyone to believe him.
And last...
"You can't escape the range, as the spear could be enough to destroy a small city due to the blast," he finally said, smiling.
"BULLSHIT!" Follower called out.
"Hm?"
"I saw the spear attack in the temple, and it was only enough to destroy the temple and an area 1 kilometer around it, that's definitely not a city!"
That is definitely true as well, after all, if the attack was so powerful, why did the impact destroy so "little".
Well...
"Father Hugo was the one who threw that spear, not me, he simply copied my attack, basically a weaker version of mine," he smirked, "You can even ask the other commanders if you wish?"
As Tormented One couldn't talk, all eyes fell on the Mayor, whose expression turned serious and cautious.
With a sigh, he admitted, "Hugo can basic skills and their perks to perfection, but when it comes to massive perks such as... this one... he could probably only use around 10% of their power."
"..." Follower instantly began to sweat, making him even more eager in using the "Skill Canceller" now.
If Father Hugo only used 10% of the angel's power, and destroyed that much, then what would even happen with Stark's aura and 100% of it's power?
No one could imagine.
But all the people in the real world had a rough image: total annihilation.
Chosen had the lives of millions in his hands since the beginning.
"I hope you understand now, so..." Stark laughed, "Just let go of them," he pointed at the two girls, "And kill each other."
"That is... if you guys don't want to just team up and kill the moons," he added a last option, pointing at the sky, where the three moons were watching.
"You think we're scared?" the Mayor intervened, "If you use that thing, you're going to die too!"
Instantly, all the others realized it as well: Stark wasn't invincible, he was about to get it too if he throws it.
"That is true," he admitted.
"HAHA, THEN IT MEANS YOU'RE JUST AS FUCKED AS US!" Follower laughed, letting go of the [Skill Canceller], "IDIOT!"
"No," Stark shook his head, "Because I'd rather kill myself with you all than let you win."
"Bullshit," Clever spoke for the first time.
"Oh?" Stark looked at him, a vortex of crimson aura appearing in his eyes, "But I am serious, I'll kill myself to take you all with me."
The aura in his eyes was so overwhelming and insane that everyone instantly believed him.
That kid was fucking crazy!
"And what about your two girlfriends? You're gonna let them die?"
"Yeah," Stark shrugged, pushing the bluff to its max, "I don't care about them that much, all dying together is beautiful, isn't it?"
Of course, everything Stark was saying was pure bluff: he had his [Chosen One] talent perk to revive him, while Lilith and Sora had the [Protection Amulet].
That is the reason why he stopped her from using it when faced with the [Celestial Annihilation].
But it was to push the bluff to its limit that Stark had to say all of that, and best of all: they believed him.
"ARE YOU CRAZY?!" Lilith shouted.
"...Believe in him," but Sora quieted her down, knowing that Stark wouldn't sacrifice them.
In the outside world, everyone was going ballistic.
"HOLY FUCKING SHIT!"
"THAT GUY'S INSANE?!"
"Suicide annihilation, heh?"
Even Sora's family, and specifically her father, was going crazy from rage.
"T-This kid," he couldn't even fathom how his daughter could meet someone so bad, "FUCK!"
To the world, and even those inside the trial, Stark looked more monstrous than ever the monsters themselves.
Stark's family was the same, terrified and shocked.
Just what the hell could have happened during those 1.5 years that made Stark so powerful, and that pushed him to have such a mindset?
Killing them all was alright if you had a backup plan to survive.
And even killing yourself would be brave if it meant your loved ones could survive.
But at the end of the day your plan is just to: kill everyone, including you and the girls you were with, then it's just pure insanity.
That's not brave, nor heroic, it's just... evil.
And worst of all, every screen showed Stark's figure, taken completely over by his crimson aura, only his mouth and eyes visible because of the white trail.
He was completely serious.
"Well then," he spoke, smiling, "What's your choice," he bowed, mocking the Mayor, "It doesn't matter to me."
The world waited for the other's answer.
Because no matter what they answered, then something crazy would happen.
