Chapter 611: The New Empire is Shaken
The crystal throne was void of humanity, much like the throne room that it sat upon. The Man sat on the chair, his arms rested comfortably on the armrest as his eyes gazed upon the people that gathered around him.
A woman dressed in traditional robes with a large ribbon wrapped on her stomach appeared before the man, kneeling with her head down. Her long black hair reached the floor, twirling multiple times as it did.
"My emperor, I am Sayu—"
Before she could finish the castle shook, for the first time since the introductions of the neighboring kingdoms, a spark of something appeared on The Man's eyes. Ever so slightly, a small curve appeared on his lips, a smirk painting his stoic face.
Not long after, a pink mist blossomed right beside the throne. A woman appeared through the mist, dressed in nothing but a black leather bodysuit that hugged her body tightly. She tied her long purple hair in two parts, both adorned with pink ribbons.
Behind her were small pair of pink bat wings, hovering closely to her back but not attached. There was also a crystal ball hovering on her lower back with a tail with pointed tip attached. The woman was beautiful and all the men in the room could agree to that. They could not keep their eyes on her and her body, an inexplicable sense of heat arising from their bodies.
The woman walked towards the Man, the clacking of her heels making the only sound in the throne room. "Your majesty, that was the Dragon Eternal. He made his presence known across all Realms."
"That was a powerful shock wave. Too powerful if you ask me."
Another person, this time a man, appeared. He came out of the same way the woman did, and dressed in a similar fashion. The ladies could only watched as his toned body bulge out of the tight bodysuit that he wore.
"That's what I just reported, Allain." The woman pouted, crossing her arms that caused her chest to bulge out. "You just have to make an entrance."
"I can't help it if His Majesty wanted me to report it, Ellaine. After all, I'm the first succesful child of His Majesty." Allain said, looking smugly at the woman.
"Of course, not," Ellaine retorted. "His Majesty gave birth to me first and then decided to take you in. I am the legitimate child."
"Calm down, children."
The bickering two immediately straightened up after the Man spoke the words. Across the room, some people fainted from the terrifying presence and some were down to their knees. The Man had an extraordinary aura to him, one that could make any ordinary person faint just after feeling a slight increase in its output.
The two kneeled and looked down, head hung low in response to what the Man said. He chuckled as he watched the two tried to recompose themselves.
"I am not mad." The Man said, his aura changing. "You know how much I hate bickering and screaming. You can speak, but you don't have to raise your voice."
"Yes, your Majesty." The two soundes in unison, disappearing into the pink mists that they came in from.
"But what surprised me the most is your determination, princess." The Man relaxed on his throne, leaning his head on his open hand and grinned at the woman. "Among all the people here, including my own children, you were the least affected by it. You're something, huh, child."
"I am not someone of importance, your Majesty," Sayu spoke. "I am merely a princess of the smallest kingdom of this continent."
"But your potential exceeds all there is among the nobles here," The Man said. "You, my child, shall be guided personally by me. I shall train you in combat and in tactics."
"You humble me, sire. But what of my kingdom? Who will rule it?" Sayu asked, but the Man only laughed.
"What kingdom? All kingdoms in this continent has fallen. Instead of destroying each one of you, I'll take into consideration that you'll be absorbed by my empire. It will be he highest glory that you could receive."
"O-Of course, your majesty." Sayu clenched her fists, but relaxed it immediately. She looked up and saw the Man grinning from ear to ear. "I would gladly serve under you."
—
"What have you done?!"
Irus teleported at the courtyard the moment he felt Hope's presence. He glared at Elliot, but refocused his attention on the giant dragon that hovered over the city. Hope was suspended in the air. His wings weren't flapping, but he was still floating, as if time stopped right where he was.
"This is hard as hell to pull off, but judging by the size of this thing, I did a good job."
Their heads turned to the source of the voice. It was Luck with Frederick by his side. He walked towards them while his palm pointing at Hope. This feat was a testament to his powers as someone with an affinity of air. His strength goes way beyond the elemental level, but he could manipulate space itself.
Elliot saw through Luck's skill. He compromised the air around Hope to an extent that it affects the spatial energy, causing the dragon to appear suspended in time. Although the theory of the skill was basic, to manage such space in a large area, which was about the size of an entire castle, that wasn't something that anyone can reach.
"Do you guys know any way to revert him to his human form?" Frederick asked. "It would help us a lot if we didn't have a giant dragon hovering above the castle."
"We actually don't know," Elliott said. "His morphing usually takes care of its own. Like, he has complete control over it."
"Then, let us try something." Midnight jumped from the ground with Sun behind him. They leaped through the air and landed on Hope's forehead. It was miles away from the ground and it only took them one leap to reach him, it was a showcase of their power.
They placed their hands on Hope and injected a non-lethal magic into him. This caused him to wriggle for a moment before his body was wrapped with dark grey light, shrinking back into his old form.
"Why is everyone showing off today?" Elliot asked out loud, causing Lance to look at him.
"You didn't know?" Lance said, looking at Elliot like the latter just did something stupid. "You really don't know what caused all these show offs to show up?"
Elliot shook his head, pouting after feeling left out. It seemed like they knew something that only he didn't know.
"Hey, bud." Frederick walked towards Elliot. "How are you?"
"I'm... good." Elliot looked around, seeing that everyone was looking at him and expecting something from him. "What the hell is going on?"
Irus walked closer to Elliot, causing a slight sense of relief. For all the people that he knew, Irus was the most sensible and had always reasonable. He followed logic and common sense.
"Hey, Elliot. Are you okay?" Irus asked. "Are you hurt?"
"What the hell?" Elliot shook his head. "What's going on?"
'Notice. The Candidate's selection of Generals will commence in four days.'
