I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 592: Race Against Time

Elliot was too complacent. He was confident in his ability to win without knowing the full capabilities of his enemy. Malice has powers, and he knew it.

What he didn't realize was the extent of Malice's powers. She wasn't just strong, she was extremely powerful.

He was stunned, unable to utter a single word as the eyes glared at him. "You must've absorbed the powers of your daughters to get that strong. You can't just get stronger like that with training alone."

"You think I just transferred my soul to my daughters?" Malice laughed. "Of course, not. I took their powers— all their potential. I absorbed everything from them whenever I transfer my soul. I was just trying to see what you can do, and it turns out you cannot do much. You broke the Level threshold of humanity, but I am not human!"

Thick black clouds filled the skies, the eyes of Malice grinned in excitement as the black lightning danced inside the clouds. Elliot knew the power that each lightning has. It was going to be a very tough match for him.

"So that's why defeating you is worth one Level," Elliot grinned. The fear inside him has been washed, cleansed. There was a sheer spark of thrill that made him feel an intense emotion of excitement. "You're one damn powerful b*tch."

Malice screamed, laughing her lightning strikes at Elliot. She wasn't just going to defeat him or kill him, her intent was to destroy every single molecule of his body. She was going to annihilate his entire being.

But Elliot had the same intent. For all the crimes that Malice has committed for the past hundreds of years, he was going to bring justice. He was going to finally put an end to her tyranny.

From his perspective, even the lightning strikes were slow. He could easily dodge all the attacks that were thrown at him. It wasn't that hard considering his entire physical abilities has been greatly enhanced. His perception was top notched and mere lightning strikes were not going to be the end of him.

"You're nothing but a boy, Elliot!" Malice screamed as she watched the boy get near her. He was using his speed and power to catapult himself fromt the ground and use the same force to use the molecules in the air as a step stone. "You cannot reach me easily!"

Malice conjured birds of black energy. The birds screeched before raining down to Elliot. They had sharp beaks that could pierce through the boy's body if he was not careful.

"Is this all you've got, Malice?" Elliot laughed. He used his sword to parry the birds. He was fast and agile, making the birds seem they were in slow motion with how slow they are to him. "Your attacks are weak."

Elliot was near the eyes when Malice suddenly shut them off. Elliot stopped, feeling the presence of Malice disappear altogether. The skies cleared and the birds vanished. He was looking around, but there was nobody there.

"What trick are you doing now?" Elliot asked, returning to the ground. There was nothing around him and it was ominous. He was wondering how such a huge aura disappeared in an instant. It was an impossible feat.

"Hey, Malice!" Elliot yelled. "Where the hell are you?"

There was only silence. It was making Elliot's head ache. There should be an attack, something that would try to kill him. There should be a powerful strike that appears behind him.

But there was none.

It seemed like Malice was completely gone. It was odd, and mysterious. Elliot could not completely take it all in. How could it happen so quickly when he hasn't even dealt the final strike or the notification to go off about how he killed a Candidate.

"Looking for me?"

Elliot spun and immediately slashed his sword. Malice was behind him, but the attack did nothing to her. She looked younger now than she was before, but her skin was now pitch black and cracks were all over her body.

"What happened to you?" Elliot asked.

"I am reaching the limits of this body," Malice said, which turned into panting. "I have to get the new host."

"As if I'd let you!" Elliot yelled. He raised his sword and pointed it at Malice. "You're not going anywhere, especially near my mother."

"Mother," Malice chuckled. "I was never loved by my mother."

She fell to the ground and sat cross legged. The cracks on her body broke open, revealing her old, wrinkly, and pale skin. She looked at Elliot and then to the sky. "I was never loved."

Elliot didn't lower his weapon even when the woman was already without putting a guard on. He was soft-hearted, but he knew more than anyone that this woman was not to be trusted. She killed her daughters for her own gain, killed thousands just for enjoyment, and punished millions just because she was mad.

"...iot!"

Elliot tried to look behind him but Malice spoke again. "I never had the chance to be with a parent. They were all trying to destroy me because I was strong."

"...lliot!"

The voice rang again. Elliot wanted to turn back, but his head wouldn't let him. It was then that it dawned him— he was under a hypnosis.

"Crime Void!" Elliot screamed. His eyes opened and he saw himself on the ground, bruises all over his body. Lance was beside him, trying to wake him up from the control.

"What happened to you?! You were so close, Elliot," Lance said and helped his friend stand up. "You were close to her eyes when you stopped. She then zapped you with all the lightning and the birds feasted on your body. We had to come here to help because then you would've been killed."

"Her hypnosis is powerful," Elliot stated. "She could control you if you stare at the eyes."

"Don't stare at her eyes!" Lance yelled at the other three.

"I think it's too late for Hope," Connor sighed. He raised his right hand which burned with a dark blue flame before he placed the tip of his finger at Hope's earlobe.

"Ouch!" Hope gasped, breaking away from the trance. "What happened? I thought she surrendered."

"So she's playing that trick, huh?" Ed chuckled. "She really is the worst enemy we've seen so far, guys. She used all the cheap tricks just to defeat her enemies."

"But we have the advantage," Elliot said. "Her body, that's her weakness."

"Elliot, the woman is literally just four large eyes now. We don't know if she even has a body," Connor sighed. He conjured a spinning ball of flame and launched it at one of the eyes. Malice stared at the attack and let it pass through her.

"The eyes are just projections," Elliot whispered. "So her real body must still be here on the ground. But where is it?"

"We can try the throne room," Lance said. "We can hold her off here while you go there."

"No, I need someone with me in case I get hypnotized again," Elliot said.

"You two should go," Ed suggested. "Lance is immune to Black hypnosis since he has White affinity. He should help you in case."

Elliot and Lance looked at each other before nodding. They brandished their swords and sprinted back to the castle.

"It's now or never," Elliot whispered.
