I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 552: The Prophet

"You really are fond of that kid," the blue-eyed man chuckled. "Frederick, what if you could see her today? I can arrange that, you know."

Frederick grinned but shook his head. "No, thank you, Hansel. I made a promise to that man that if they live, he'll be the first to see her."

"Honorable," Hansel shrugged. "But then Malice has changed Vassals for three times these past few months. Only six of us remained. That's about half."

Frederick clenched his jaw. "That's twisted. She's becoming twisted as the time passes. How will they get to her?"

"We have a plan," Hansel said. "My sister has been with her these past few weeks. We know her schedule and her schedule involves going inside the princess's room for sixteen hours in a day."

"She's very cautious," Frederick sighed. "I might stay here for a while. Just so I could keep an eye on their safety."

"You didn't bring the others with you?" Hansel looked around and his smile suddenly dropped. "Oh. You really didn't."

Frederick stared at his wrist. It wasn't an obvious trinket but there was a band on his right wrist. The band was a golden band with a dark green gem. He smirked and hid the band on his cuffs.

"I have always wondered why such a strong man dropped in power so quickly," Hansel laughed. He stood and hid his face with his hood. "Alright now. I guess I will see you around. Tell Barbara I said hi."

With one step forward, Hansel vanished. He teleported back to the castle, leaving Frederick looking at the group inside Barbara's mansion.

"I trust this in you, Elliot."

Elliot was looking around when he saw a small piece of equipment hanging on the wall. It was framed and was already covered in a thick layer of dust.

"What is that?" Elliot asked Barbara. The woman looked at him and then at the area where he was pointing at. "That looks cool."

"A Seer Gem," Barbara replied. "It was…"

She stopped and then shook her head. She then hovered in the air and took the frame. She handed it to Elliot. "Funny that you see it. It's actually the one the Great Prophet used when she prophecized about Malice's death."

"Her death or her defeat?" Lance quirked his brow up. "Which one is it?"

"Her death, her defeat. Either is fine," Barbara said. "The thing is, she's going to be taken down soon enough."

Elliot removed the gem from the frame. He opened a small latch on the side and used his hand to take the gem from the velvet pillow it was laying on. It was a beautiful dark brown spherical gem that was cracked on the right. Elliot stared at the item and touched the center.

There was a dark aura coming from the gem. It was an aura that was similar to a dead person's body. The void that the person created exude an aura of emptiness.

Elliot could not take his eyes on the item. He was only awakened from his thoughts when Lance's hand was placed on his shoulder. The dark blonde haired man stared at Elliot in concern.

"Are you okay?" Lance asked. "You look out of it."

Elliot shook his head and then placed the gem back. "I'm fine. I was just looking at the gem. It seems so... odd."

"Odd? How?" Lance took a closer look at the gem and his eyes widened. "It's speaking."

Elliot nodded. "Yes. That's what I think too."

Barbara leaned closer to the two. She smirked and touched the orb. "The orb has the soul of the Prophet. That's a secret, but I know I can trust you."

Elliot took the gem and stored it in his Inventory. Everyone looked at him as he focused on his Crafting Table. He smirked when he found a page he read before. It contained a stone-repairing skill that he could use with Weapon Gems or Skill Gems.

"Seer Gem," Elliot whispered to himself. "I think it could also work. But I need materials."

"Work? Materials? What?" Barbara narrowed her eyes. "Kid, what are you talking about?"

"Where can I get Barbed Mammoth Tusk dust?" Elliot asked. "And Plain Black Tree sap?"

"Those are extinct materials," Dante interjected. "From extinct sources. Why do you need them for?"

"The Seer Gem can be repaired with these materials," Elliot said. "I could do it. The dust and sap can be used as a filler for the broken parts. It can't restore the memories of the shattered parts, but it can activate the gem just enough for it to retain most of its memories."

Barbara looked at Dante and the man nodded at her. She then walked towards Elliot and held his hand. "I have the shattered parts. Will that help?"

Elliot paused for a while. He hummed and then nodded. "I can grind that into a powder and use the sap to bind it to the gem. Where are the dust?"

Barbara ran behind her studio. It took her a while before she came back with a small red pouch. She opened the string of the pouch and let Elliot see the shattered pieces of gem inside.

"Can you grind those? And where can I find the sap?" Elliot asked. Trick appeared again and threw a bottle at Dante.

Dante caught the bottle and quirked his eyebrows at Trick. "You're still here?"

"I am everywhere," Trick sighed. "Then I overheard your conversation. The Queen has that in her storage. She has tons of them."

Dante opened the bottle and smirked. "She's the cause of their extinction. She should store some of them."

Barbara returned not even a second later. She handed Elliot the shard with hopeful eyes. "Restore the Seer Gem. It has the memories of our friend."

Elliot nodded. He wanted to help them too but his intention was completely different from what they have in mind. He wanted to restore the Seer Gem so he could find more clues about the prophecy. It was vague that even the ones who should know it, doesn't know a thing about it. Barbara wasn't sure if the Prophesized Boy would kill Malice or change her.

"I can do it," Elliot said. "Just give me a bit of time to focus."

The others nodded and have Elliot the time he needed. He took the materials and opened his Crafting Table again. He placed the items in the slots and the box below showed the restored gem. It wasn't the dark brown color, but a pale orange gem that had a white line in the middle. It was the repaired crack.

"This should be finished," Elliot said and went back to his friends. He took the gem out of his Inventory and a sudden rang in his head suddenly burst. He fell to his knees and cried, seeing many visions of the future.

In front of him was a tall woman with a black veil over her head. She smiled at Elliot and offered his hand. "You must be him."

Elliot shook his head. "I'm not Lance. I'm Elliot."

"The boy who wields White and Black," the woman continued. "You shall destroy Malice of her evil deeds and become one with the people."

"I'm not Lance," Elliot said. "I don't know what you mean."

"The boy could not show the powers for the powers are his birthright," the woman said. "You are born of White and Black, Elliot."
