I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 497: Aquarius vs the Kingsguard (1)

It was the first time that Elliot had seen Reginald. He had heard of this man countless of times from different people as the most famous member of Pentos.

"What are you doing in the Forsaken's Den?!" Irus growled. They heard a series of footsteps that caused Irus to cast an invisibility skill upon the two of them.

"Irus?" It was Mammon who was calling for him. "Irus? We have an intruder. Where are you?"

Under the invisibility skill, Reginald was grinning at Irus. "Your brother is looking for you, aren't you going to tell him you saw the intruder?"

"I'm not like them," Irus said. "And he's not my brother. I'm only a waste of the magic that created them."

"Still blood related," Reginald snorted. This made Irus growled at him that also made the man raise his hands in surrender. "Alright, alright. But you don't have to exile yourself like this. Family doesn't mean blood. It means that you are going to bleed for them."

"Bleed for them?" Irus asked, making Reginald chuckle.

"My friends are from different parts of different realms. We're not in any way related, but we see each other as family because we're willing to bleed foe each other," Reginald said. "That's what family is."

"You!" they heard a scream from behind them. It was Lesley, the Deathly Sin of Envy. "Irus, what are you still doing there? He stole the Forsaken's Arch Ring!"

"What?!" Irus yelled, but it was too late. Reginald had already fled.

The man was laughing as he showed them the ring that belonged to the Forsaken, only for the demons to watch as he retreated into the forest and vanished into the darkness.

"Irus, what was that?" Lesley asked. "If the Forsaken knows about this, he will have your head."

"Then we won't let him know," Saitan walked up to them and drew magic runes in the air. "Let's just pretend that none of this happened."

The runes became brighter and brighter until it's light became too blinding. Elliot closed his eyes and felt the light swallow him, then bring him back to reality.

"At that time, Irus was names as The Ruthless because he could take down an entire troop of Paragons on his own," Locraine said. "And it's also the first time that he felt his heart beat, for the people that are important to him."

"How are you so sure that Irus wouldn't help Death bring back his siblings?" Frederick asked. "If he loves them so much and prioritized them over anything, how are you so certain that he's not actually helping Death?"

"Because Irus is not blind," Locraine said, then she turned to face Elliot. "And because he found another person to bleed for."

"I'm sorry," King Leopold kept on repeating the words as they were locked up in their cell. "This is all my fault. I was too selfish."

Leonardo, the Holy Crow, and the Raven Justice were silent as the king apologized over and over again. As he repeated his words, it felt like his words became more insincere than the last one.

"I had no choice," Leonardo said. "I was so young. She was the only thing that was so important to me that when she died, I couldn't take it. I couldn't look into your face because she reminded me of you."

"So, you decided to throw me away," Leonardo scoffed. "Even when you're young at that time, this doesn't excuse your sh*tty behavior. You're still a trash that doesn't belong anywhere in this world."

"That is why I'm sorry," King Leopold lowered his head. "I can see it now. I can see where I wronged you, how I wronged you, and how much it affected everyone around me."

"This is why I don't like family drama."

A bubble of water appeared in front if the cage and it formed to be Aquarius. He sighed and took a key from his hand, opening the lock and went inside to unchain the hostages.

"Aquarius," King Leopold called out. "How did you know that we were locked here?"

"Don't forget that I'm an Alorde too, uncle," Aquarius said. "I know the nooks and crannies of this castle much like you do."

With a snap of his fingers, the lock on the chains of the hostages were filled with water and shattered into pieces. This freed them and allowed Aquarius to lead them outside.

"Death is targeting the Purple Palace and he will be finished in a short amount of time," Aquarius said. "He's that strong, so we have to be careful. Very careful."

Clank. Clank. Clank.

They froze in their steps after hearing the sound. It was the sound of a footsteps from a metal boot with a heavy sword being dragged behind it.

Aquarius turned around to see a twenty foot armor walking towards them. The armor was purple and it had a sword two times his own size.

"Sh*t," Aquarius growled. "It's a Guard! Run!"

He pushed the others behind him and he slammed his hands into the ground to create a wall made of water. When the guard saw this, it roared before running straight to the wall, crashing on it and falling back.

The wall of water almost dispersed from the impact. Aquarius even yelled in pain after feeling his magic wavering just from one slam of the Guard's head. "It's gonna go again. Run! I can't defend for the second time."

"Cross of Life," the Holy Crow cast upon Aquarius. He summoned a giant cross above the man and let the cross shine its light onto him. Aquarius felt his energy regenerate and his mana slowly return. "Aquarius, this should give you more energy."

"It does, but you have to take this opportunity to run," Aquarius said. "Now!"

The hostages ran away, letting Aquarius handle the Guard on his own. For them, it was a horrible move, but they have to trust the powers of the man.

He was a level of a God for the Adventurers, the only living person who had defeated a Deep Sea Creature alone. This feat wasn't something to be overlooked at.

The Guard roared again and slammed its body on the wall of water. Aquarius, with the blessing of the Holy Crow, didn't flinch this time. He retained the integrity of his wall and his energy didn't even decrease like before.

"Something's telling me that I need more of this later," Aquarius chuckled. Knowing that the hostages had escaped, Aquarius slolwy let down his wall and used the water to form a vortex around the Guard.

"This should teach you a lesson or two." With a sudden slamming of his hands, Aquarius made the water whirlpool collapse on itself, drowning the Guard inside not by the water itself, but from the force and pressure.

The vortex was spinning faster and faster, even the walls of the castle felt it when they started cracking. "Drown by Water."

Crack. Crack. Crack.

The iron shell of the Guard had started to crack, making Aquarius smirk. "How dare Death place an unsightly creature here. He knows no respect for us, so I'll show him–"

Out of nowhere, a sword pierced through Aquarius's chest. He froze after feeling the sword through his body. "What?"

Clank. Clank.
