NOVEL NEXT Chapter 205: Disgust
The ground trembled as Bjorn and Erik conjured up rock walls that rose up to the ceiling of the base, blocking the way of the Dark Lord, Giuseppe and Olivia.
A rock wall also appeared and covered the gap in the steel gates created by Giuseppe.
Giuseppe gave out a smirk and he raised his hands, trying to unleash another torrent of slices at the rock wall.
As he was about to do so, vines began to grow rapidly on the ground and from the walls.
These vines filled up the space where the Dark Lord, Giuseppe and Olivia were in.
Some of the vines shot up and grabbed onto Giuseppe's hands, pulling his hands in different directions.
"I swear I'll cut you, pesky bitch, into a million pieces when I get my hands on you." Giuseppe cursed as he tried to break free from the vines.
Nearby, Olivia and the Dark Lord were also busy with the vines.
The vines attacked them but were stopped immediately by Olivia's purple glowing chains.
Upon contact the vines withered into brownish dried vines and crumbled onto the ground.
Just as she was busy with the vines, huge boulders appeared in the air above them.
Whoosh.
The huge boulders came crashing down towards Olivia and the Dark Lord.
Frustrated with the vines and huge boulders, Olivia gave out a loud cry, and a dozen more of the purple glowing chains appeared from her body.
These purple glowing chains whipped and lashed out at the surroundings.
The vines withered and more of them grew out from the ground.
It was, however, futile as they were no match for the purple glowing chains of Olivia.
And when the huge boulders got hit by the purple glowing chains, they were turned into dust immediately.
The dust floated around in the air, turning it into a tint of brown as if the Dark Lord and his subordinates were in a desert storm.
Beyond the rock walls, Kevin frowned with his eyebrows locked together.
Their attacks didn't yield the results that he had expected.
Astrid, Kain, Bjorn and Erik were exhausted from using much of their energy to attack the Dark Lord.
This gave him little choice but to execute his backup plan.
He gathered the soldiers with at least Adept Level of Mastery, and they stood in a line behind the rock walls on the other side.
"Now!" Kevin shouted and the soldiers unleashed whatever they could at the Dark Lord beyond the rock walls.
Fire, ice spikes and wind blades appeared and shot at the Dark Lord, Giuseppe and Olivia.
"What a nuisance." Olivia said as her purple glowing chains started to wrap themselves onto the Dark Lord and her body.
With their bodies covered in her purple glowing chains, they were impervious to the attacks that were unleashed by the soldiers.
Giuseppe also got frustrated enough and he gave out a loud roar.
The air surrounding him swirled, slicing everything that came into its path.
Slowly the swirling air expanded and increased its radius, turning itself into a tornado.
Slice.
The tornado cut through the rock walls and the rock walls crumbled down.
The soldiers standing behind the rock walls were shocked when the tornado came onto them.
It was over for them in an instant.
The tornado ripped and sliced them apart, strewing bits of their bodies into the surroundings.
Those soldiers that were further away got sprayed with the body parts.
Their hearts and morale turned cold immediately.
"Here you are." Giuseppe leaped on top of the crumbled rock wall and said.
His eyes were locked onto Kevin and his teammates.
Giuseppe swiped his hands across, and Kevin saw chunks of his rock armor flying out into the air.
Kevin then saw Giuseppe lunging at him.
Crack.
Two figures came before Kevin and they got hit by Giuseppe instead.
They were Bjorn and Erik with their spiky rock armor.
Giuseppe took a few steps back and before he could slice at them with his ability, Kevin stomped his feet onto the ground.
The ground wobbled like water, bobbing up and down, causing Giuseppe to lose his footing.
Kain then shot out a boulder at Giuseppe from the side.
Thud.
The boulder hit Giuseppe's head, making him shake his head to try and maintain his consciousness.
Vines grew from the ground, and they snapped at Giuseppe's neck.
"Got you, you little bitch." Giuseppe ignored the vines that were strangling his neck and gave out a smirk.
He licked his lips as he glanced at Astrid.
Astrid gritted her teeth and unleashed as many vines at Giuseppe as she could. The vines also started to entangle Giuseppe's limbs.
But Giuseppe was unfazed, and he took in a deep breath.
When he gave out another loud roar, the air swirled around him, slicing the vines into pieces immediately.
Kain quickly shot out boulders at Giuseppe.
Boom.
The boulders upon contact with the tornado which was forming turned into dust.
Bjorn and Erik tried to lunge at Giuseppe, but they were sucked into the tornado when they got near.
"Bjorn! Erik!" Kevin cried out loud, fearing the worst for them.
Their spiky rock armor couldn't hold up in the tornado and they were shredded into pieces.
And without the protection of the spiky rock armor, they too were sliced up into pieces by the tornado.
Kevin's heart sank when he saw their blood rain down onto the ground.
Tears rolled down from Astrid's eyes when she saw what had happened.
Kain nearly knelt from the shock, but he quickly stopped himself.
Memories of them going through missions went through their minds.
Bjorn and Erik were quiet souls but were always dependable.
Protecting the others from harm with their spiky rock armor when the need arose, no matter how strong the enemies were.
However, there was no time for sorrow.
It was time for anger and revenge.
Giuseppe on the other hand was oblivious to how they felt, and he walked towards Astrid.
Scanning her body from head to toe, giving out a disgusting smile as he did so.
Astrid could feel the disgust from within her, and she raised her hands at Giuseppe.
