I Kill to Get All SSS Abilities: From Outcast to Awakened

Chapter 203: Permafrost Peaks

Giuseppe steered the car onto a highway when he saw the sign that said 'Permafrost Peaks'.

As he drove, he periodically glanced at the rearview mirror, looking at glimpses of Olivia's legs and licked his mustache.

Olivia smirked and opened her legs.

Her actions got him excited.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a purple glow in the form of a chain wrapped itself around Giuseppe's neck.

"Argh." Giuseppe tried to activate his ability and break free from the chain but was horrified to find out that he couldn't use his ability anymore.

"Not now. We've got work to do." The Dark Lord said and he glanced at Giuseppe.

"You better keep it in your pants for now.

"The fun begins for you after we succeed in killing off the First Awakened."

The Dark Lord said and stared at Giuseppe.

Under his gaze, Giuseppe felt intense pressure on his chest and his breathing nearly stopped.

"Yes. I will do as you say." He said pleadingly to the Dark Lord.

The Dark Lord glanced over at Olivia, and she deactivated the purple glowing chain.

Once the chain was gone, Giuseppe panted, trying to get back his breathing.

He focused back on his driving and thought about all the fun he would have when hell breaks loose in the North Battle Administration Area.

Those bitches had it coming. He thought to himself.

They traveled along the highway, exited it and turned into a smaller road that was long and winding up onto the mountains.

The weather was visibly worse as the car ascended slowly up the mountain.

Visibility through the windscreen was barely ten feet ahead.

But Giuseppe was curiously very relaxed, humming a tune as he drove.

"Stop! Who's there!"

Finally, they reached a checkpoint and the soldiers who were on high alert raised their weapons and shouted at them.

Giuseppe wound down the car window and popped his head out with both his hands unarmed in the air.

"We are tourists taking photos of the gorgeous view, but we got lost.

"It's cold out here, and we are all tired and hungry.

"Spare a thought for the beautiful lady."

Giuseppe said with his eyes giving out a sorry look.

The soldiers shined their flashlights into the car.

Their guard lowered a little when they saw Olivia shaking and rubbing her hands.

Who wouldn't like to play hero and rescue the damsel in distress.

One of the soldiers wanted to open the door to help Olivia.

The sergeant among them quickly shouted, "Charles, stop!"

There was only one road leading up the mountains, it was nearly impossible to get lost.

These people aren't tourists.

It was however, too late for the soldier.

The door had been opened.

Purple glowing chains shot out towards the soldier who had opened it.

The soldier tried to swing his rifle to the front but couldn't.

The purple glowing chains wrapped themselves onto the soldier's limbs.

Immediately, the soldier's face collapsed, with the flesh under the skin gone.

It was the same for his body and limbs.

Within an instant, the soldier was now like a mummified corpse.

"Open fire and inform..." The sergeant shouted trying to command his soldiers.

But before he could finish his sentence, warm blood had spurted out from his neck.

His artery was severed by something out of nowhere.

Giuseppe stepped out from the car, and he glanced at the soldier coming at him.

Slice.

The soldier's fate was the same as the sergeant's.

Blood spurted out from the soldier's neck.

No one could see what had happened and what Giuseppe had used to slice the necks of the soldiers.

Other soldiers standing behind began to be afraid as fear struck into them.

Unknowns were many times much more terrifying.

They feared the same thing happening to them.

But it was too late.

One by one, their necks were sliced open and blood spurted onto the white snowy ground.

And when he was done, Giuseppe glanced at the Dark Lord.

But the Dark Lord didn't seem too impressed.

Giuseppe twitched his mouth and got back into the car.

They would have to hurry now.

...

Base inside the Permafrost Peaks.

Sherry was in an office with a desk and computer in front of her.

The Governor for the North Battle Administration Area had just arrived with his briefcase.

With the device in the briefcase and his palm print, she would then be able to bring the First Awakened, Derrick, out of his hibernation as per the Leader's instructions.

The Governor was a surprisingly lean and fit middle-aged man, sitting in front of her.

He looked at Sherry with a wary look.

Throughout the years, he was instructed not to bring the First Awakened out of his hibernation unless emergencies like when the North Battle Administration Area was facing imminent destruction from the demonic beasts.

But now....

He didn't know what to expect after the First Awakened is out of his hibernation.

Would he be like Athena, getting rid of the Apex demonic beast around the area?

Or would he wrest control from him?

Thoughts went through the Governor's mind as they waited for the technicians to report.

Buzz.

The door to the office buzzed and the fortified steel door slid to the side.

A soldier was at the entrance.

"Why are you here? Where's the technical manager?" Sherry frowned and asked.

The soldier gave her a salute and said, "Secretary Sherry, I'm here to report that there's an intrusion at the checkpoint down at the mountain road.

"Awaiting your further instructions."

Sherry stood up and said, "Activate lockdown protocol. Send Kevin and his men out to investigate."

"Yes, Secretary Sherry." The soldier said and quickly went on his way.

"Is everything going to be all right?" The Governor asked.

Sherry frowned and said, "We will do whatever it takes to secure this base."

She picked up her phone and sent out an urgent message.

There was only one way to be sure.

Hold out, get the First Awakened out of hibernation, and get Lukas and the others here to help as soon as possible.
