I have Nine Lives

The black bear captain was shuddering as he felt Felix's gaze go over his whole body, seemingly as if he was looking at food!

Lindo kept his composure as he told him:

"You can still head back, I'm sorry for the stolen fish but as you can see we quite need it, you should trade the life of a subordinate for yours at this moment."

The situation was quite awkward, Felix stole the fish and now they were threatening the man they stole from trying to kill him, but considering their world was one where might made right, it didn't really matter.

The black bear gritted his teeth as he transformed into his black bear form, he wanted to back away!

Suddenly huffs could be heard from behind him as more black bears finally found their way towards the convoy of the tigers.

They were all quite exhausted but they still had enough strength to battle, seeing this the strongest bear gained some confidence as he reverted to his human form and decided to attack!

His heavy claws were going for Lindo's jugular as Felix was too fast for him to attack right now.

Lindo easily saw through his opponent's attack as he had grasped killing intent detection, he dodged his claw attack by moving a few centimeters backward, the claws made their way towards the tip of his nose as Lindo sent a punch quickly towards the bear's stomach trying to take the wind out of him.

Lindo's attack landed on the opponent's stomach but it didn't do much damage as the bear tanked the attack and retaliated with a claw towards his eyes!

Felix didn't have time to look at Lindo's fight as he went ahead and attacked the relatively tired bears who made their way here.

Felix's attacks were brutal and concise as he entered in his stealth mode, the bears were quite tired so it took them a bit to activate their Hex disturbance technique.

One of them fell to Felix's claws before their technique could be finished, all of them cried in pain as they saw their brother falling to the ground with a bloodied neck, blood spurted out of his neck and mouth as his eyes remained wide open.

Felix's claws were bloody as he appeared, his stealth mode got broken by the disturbance technique.

Lindo was having a relatively hard time against the strongest black bear, while he could deal with him if he had Felix to assist him, it was quite hard to defend against his attacks and retaliate at the same time as the black bear could focus on him entirely. He shouted towards Felix:

"QUICKLY KILL THE OTHERS AND COME TO HELP ME!"

Felix put a bloodied paw towards the sky indicating that he understood.

Felix's fat body was betraying his agility and dexterity, he easily made his way towards the other bears as he slashed towards their vital points. However now that he wasn't stealth anymore the bears could dodge or defend their vital points, but that didn't mean they could dodge all of his attacks, they were both exhausted and slower than him, they could defend their vitals but not their whole body.

Felix started to wear down at them trying to kill them by blood loss, there was a limit at how much their muscles could seal their injuries, after a while their injuries would open and they would bleed out to their deaths!

An injury on their thick arms, on the nonvital parts of the chest, around the legs, injuries started to mount on the black bear's bodies, but Felix was also getting exhausted after a time, he had run for a long time and also used a breathing technique which took its toll on his moderately sized body.

One more injury, Felix thought of adding one more injury to their bodies so he could rush and help Lindo afterward, he looked at Lindo's situation with the corner of his eyes and saw him vomiting a mouthful of blood as he took a body shot from the black bear.

Felix frowned as he looked at the opponents in front of him, only 4 remained and they were all on their last legs. Felix needed more stamina!

He looked at the downed bodies of the other black bears and his mouth started to water, he immediately jumped towards them and took big juicy bites out of their chest area, Felix could feel the hex energy from their bodies rushing into his revitalizing it and restoring his stamina at high speeds.

Felix's eyes started to glow as he disappeared and appeared in front of the black bear quartet, they were on their last legs and Felix was ready to deliver the finishing blow!

Suddenly one of the black bears chuckled as he fell to the ground, the others shouted in grief but they slowly fell as well, they all died!

Felix looked at Lindo and seeing that he was still hanging on decided to eat the bodies of the bears!

Felix's eating speed increased majorly from the time that he first came to this planet, in ten minutes he finished the bodies of all of the bears and his belly became bloated and bigger than his whole body.

A gigantic burp could be visibly seen coming out of Felix's mouth as some of the impure residual hex energy from their bodies was expelled from his body, the impure energy landed on the last black bear who was fighting Lindo and started to burn him!

Lindo was quite angry seeing Felix gorging on the black bears' meat without helping him but he couldn't say anything as he was too concentrated on the fight, he was sure the black bear didn't even realize his comrades died or he would have turned tail by now and ran away.

He could seem some granules of dark hex energy approaching the back of his opponent, the moment they made contact his skin started to sizzle as he fell to the ground and rolled.

Lindo seeing such a good opportunity launched a kick directly towards his head cracking it like an egg.

The impure energies started to eat at his body as his cracked head made sick sounds of breaking as he continued to roll on the ground, in the end, he died and his body was slowly eaten by the impure energies.

Felix frowned seeing the body disappearing, he wanted to eat him as well!

Lindo wanted to admonish Felix for his actions but he could see Felix's still bloated body start to sway slowly, it seemed he was ready to pass out!

And pass out he did, his body was slowly decreasing to its original size with time as Lindo had to drag him around before rolling him on his front so he could take the fish out of the bag to feed the tiger convoy.

Felix was soundly snoring as the fish was distributed to the hungrier tigers, Lindo decided to split up the fish so they could feed them more later, there was still a long way till they would reach the tiger's new village.

Felix's body was still decreasing in size as the tigers finished their meal, Lindo didn't know what to do in this situation, was he supposed to roll him on the road like a barrel, he wasn't sure if he could grab him and hoist him in the air, he was a bit too big, he decided to do the latter but he could feel his knees buckle as Felix's muscle density and weight was increasing and not decreasing as his fat mass was disappearing, Lindo then started to roll him like a barrel as he didn't know when he would wake up and they had to deliver the tiger convoy to their new home sooner than later.

Felix's chubby paws started to move in his sleep, it seemed he was dreaming something quite different than usual.

Felix found himself in a dark cave that was his mindscape, he looked around multiple times but he saw that everywhere was darkness, there was nothing here.

He didn't know why he appeared here but he felt something strange going around in his head, he felt it hurt for a little while before a message appeared inside of it:

"Finally I can communicate with you!"

The voice was squeaky and young, but it also inspired some fear into the listener:

"That damn shaman should have told you a bit about your ability, but I want you to know more about it."

The voice had a strange quality to it, but the way he said his words meant that this wouldn't be great news for Felix.

"When you kill the souls of those you absorbed automatically in your mindscape you absorb their quintessence fully and they become a part of your main soul, they are chained to you!"

"That means when you lose a life their souls are destroyed and cannot reincarnate again, you also cannot control who you can absorb until later."

"Also some heads-up, those that you let go of your mindscape didn't actually leave, they were just absorbed peacefully."

"Damn the connection with such a feeble mind can't go on for long and is so weak... anyways I want to say..."

The voice cut off and Felix stood there petrified, Sahee didn't leave? The Elephant tribesman didn't leave?

He looked around as the bear's souls appeared in his mindscape, they tried to run away from him as they felt something strange was scaring them away from him.

Suddenly Felix appeared in front of all of them as his claws decapitated them and transformed them into dark blue energy that entered into his body.

He looked at his paws as he didn't know what to feel, Sahee was a part of him forever now and so were the others, he didn't feel disgusted nor angered by what happened, he actually felt nothing, he felt hollow.

He looked up at the continuous darkness that was enveloping him, who was that voice? Was he the God who gave him this ability? What did he mean by the feeble mind and weak connection? Felix felt his mind to be strong enough.

Why was he chosen by a god? Was the god going to answer his question but his mind didn't let him?

How could he contact the god again?

Felix shook his head as he felt the darkness starting to disappear, it seemed he was going to wake up.
